This study investigates the aerodynamic performance of the NACA 633-421 airfoil and the effectiveness and feasibility of intermittent disturbance flow control methods on laminar separation bubbles(LSBs).It is found that the average velocity and influence range of the synthetic jet actuator increase with the increasing of driving frequency and driving amplitude.LSB occurs at Re=1.0×10^(5),and ruptures atα=6°.But with intermittent disturbance control,the stall angle of attack(AoA)increases while significantly reducing drag.Research shows that although certain disturbance cannot fully recover from LSB stall,decreasing driving amplitude partially restores wing aerodynamic performance,more effectively than increasing driving amplitude. 展开更多

For the three-phase hybrid excitation doubly salient machine (HEDSM) motor and its three-phase full-bridge inverter, in the proposed analytical method, all possible working modes are generally listed. To solve the low efficiency of electric excitation claw-pole synchronous generator(EECPSG) and regulate the magnetic field of permanent magnet (PM) claw-pole synchronous generator(PMCPSG), a novel hybrid excitation claw-pole synchronous generator (HECPSG)with magnetic circuit series connection is proposed. Through the simulation study on the generator using the calculation method for magnetic circuit and 3-D finite element method (FEA), the appropriate magnet thickness and the number of pole-pairs for the proposed generator are determined. Its off-loading characteristics, load characteristics, and regulation behaviors are investigated. The study shows that the appropriate number of pole-pairs in HECPSG with series magnetic circuits is two, and there exists an optimum magnet thickness. Compared to EECPSG, HECPSG realizes dual-directional control to the excitation current. Moreover, the generator can adjust the output voltage and keep the output voltage stable in a broad load range. Under the condition of same parametes, the motor has higer air-gap flux density and power density. 展开更多

In relay-assisted cooperative communication,relay nodes help forwarding the information of a source node in case of link failure between the source and a destination.Although user cooperation improves the overall efficiency of the network,it requires incentive to stimulate potential relay nodes to assist the source by forwarding its data to the destination.Moreover,the potential relays are better informed than the source about their channel conditions to destination,which results in asymmetric information between the source and the relays.In this paper,we study the problem of lack of forwarding incentive in cooperative communication when channel state information of relays is private information and not known by the source.To tackle this problem,we apply the principle of contract theory to a cooperative wireless system.Source first designs incentive compatible and individually rational contract,consisting of a set of power-credit pairs.Then it broadcasts contract items to nearby nodes.Once the source node receives reply messages from the volunteer relays,it chooses one or more relays based on its requirements and communication starts.Simulation results show how credit assignment works in order to stimulate relays to cooperate and prevents relays from cheating behavior. 展开更多

In the traditional pipeline magnetic flux leakage(MFL)detection technology,circumferential or axial excitation is mainly used to excite the magnetic field of defects.However,the domestic and foreign pipeline detection devices currently in operation are mainly axial excitation MFL detection tools,in which circumferential cracks can be clearly identified,but the detection sensitivity of axial cracks is not high,thus forming a detection blind zone.Therefore,a composite excitation multi-extension direction defect MFL detection method is proposed,which can realize the simultaneous detection of axial and circumferential defects.On the basis of the electromagnetic theory Maxwell equation and Biot Savart law,a mathematical model of circumferential and axial magnetization is firstly established.Then finite element simulation software is used to establish a model of a new type of magnetic flux leakage detection device,and a simulation analysis of crack detection in multiple extension directions is carried out.Finally,under the conditions of the relationship model between the change rate of leakage magnetic field and external excitation intensity under unsaturated magnetization and the multi-stage coil magnetization model,the sample vehicle towing experiment is carried out.The paper aims to analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of the new magnetic flux leakage detection device for detecting defects in different extension directions.Based on the final experimental results,the new composite excitation multi extension direction leakage magnetic field detector has a good detection effect for defects in the axial and circumferential extension directions. 展开更多

This paper developed 3D product models of motorcycle and engine by UGNX as well as virtual prototyping by ADAMS program with road roughness generated by MATLAB. Under the straight-line running condition, the dynamic responses of motorcycle multibody system to both road and engine excitations were compared with those to only road excitation in terms of vertical acceleration response, amplitude frequency response and power spectral density. The comparisons of simulation data showed that the response due to flat road excitation was around 20 Hz, while that to the combined excitations was in a wide frequency band, of which the major components focused on 10 Hz, 15 Hz, 35 Hz ,70 Hz, 100 Hz and even higher frequencies, reflecting the characteristics of engine excitation based on its unbalanced inertia force and torque. It is concluded that the high fidelity virtual prototyping can simulate the dynamics of motorcycle product well in investigating the vibration and ride comfort performance. 展开更多

Starting from an improved projective method and a linear variable separation approach, new families of variable separation solutions (including solltary wave solutlons, periodic wave solutions and rational function solutions) with arbitrary functions [or the (2+ 1)-dimensional general/zed Broer-Kaup (GBK) system are derived. Usually, in terms of solitary wave solutions and/or rational function solutions, one can find abundant important localized excitations. However, based on the derived periodic wave solution in this paper, we reveal some complex wave excitations in the (2+1)-dimensional GBK system, which describe solitons moving on a periodic wave background. Some interesting evolutional properties for these solitary waves propagating on the periodic wave bactground are also briefly discussed. 展开更多

A repetitive N-person social dilemma game that permit the participants to change jobs between organizations (groups) and mutually interact between groups was carried out to investigate how "limitation for job change", "cost for job change", and "incentive (enhancement of personal career)" affected the cooperation. The cost for job change effectively worked for the enhancement of cooperation. When the cost for job change was not necessary, the cooperative behavior was enhanced. When the cost for job change was necessary, it tended that a non-cooperative action was selected. When the limitation and the cost for job change were imposed, and the participants were provided with the incentive for cooperation, the cooperation rate was the highest. A significant interaction between the incentive condition (enhancement of personal career) and the limitation for job change was also clarified. 展开更多

Mechanical model and vibration equation of a cable in cable-stayed space latticed structure (CSLS) under external axial excitation were founded.Determination of the mass lumps and natural frequencies sup- plied by the space latticed structure (SLS) was analyzed.Multiple scales method (MSM) was introduced to analyze the characteristics of cable's parametric vibration,and the precise time-integration method (PTIM) was used to solve vibration equation.The vibration behavior of a cable is closely relative to the frequency ratio of the cable and SLS.The cable's parametric vibration caused by the external axial excitation easily occurs if the frequency ratio of the cable and SLS is in a certain range,and the cable's vibration amplitude varies greatly even if the initial disturbance supplied by SLS changes a little.Furthermore,the mechanical model and vibration equation of the composite cable system consisting of main cables and assistant cables were studied. The parametric analysis such as the pre-tension level and arrangement of the assistant cables was carried out. Due to the assistant cables,the single-cable vibration mode can be transferred to the global vibration mode, and the stiffness and damping of the cable system are enhanced.The natural frequencies of the composite cable system with the curve line arrangement of assistant cables are higher than those with the straight-line arrangement and the former is more effective than the latter on the cable's vibration suppression. 展开更多

MC (Monte Carlo) method, in order to search and select the optimal combination of excitation system, was applied. The proposed method has been researched with a mathematical model of the power system. This model has been built using Matlab/Simulink software. Analysis and suppression method of transformer no-load closing excitation inrush current

The primary winding of the transformer will generate large inrush current due to the saturation of iron core when an unloaded transformer is switched-on. The inrush current not only causes mechanical interaction force due to which the windings are damaged, but also induces the differential protection relays to operate incorrectly. In this paper, the mathematical model of unloaded single phase transformer in switch-on is analyzed; the computation formulas of the inrush current and its interruption angle are presented. The experiment investigation of single phase transformers with different capacities shows that the inrush current measurement result is consistent with theoretical analysis. The inrush current waveform is typically a steeple top waveform with high order harmonics and damping in one direction. In the same condition, large inrush current amplitude will be induced with smaller switching angle, larger residual flux and smaller saturation flux. 展开更多

A modified Lindstedt-Poincar&#233; (LP) method for obtaining the resonance periodic solutions of nonlinear non-autonomous vibration systems is proposed in this paper. In the modified method, nonlinear non-autonomous equa-tions are converted into a group of linear ordinary differential equations by introducing a set of simple transformations. An approximate resonance solution for the original equation can then be obtained. The periodic solutions of primary, super-harmonic, sub-harmonic, zero-frequency and combination resonances can be solved effectively using the modi-fied method. Some examples, such as damped cubic nonlinear systems under single and double frequency excitation, and damped quadratic nonlinear systems under double frequency excitation, are given to illustrate its convenience and effectiveness. Using the modified LP method, the first-order approximate solutions for each equation are obtained. By comparison, the modified method proposed in this paper produces the same results as the method of multiple scales. 展开更多

Starting from a rudimentary quantum-networks model that consists of two two-level confined atoms locating respectively in spatially-separated cavities coupled by fiber,we investigate the complex entanglement characteristics of the composite system analytically under the maximally initial entangled state that generates two excitations simultaneously during the temporal-evolution process.Our calculation clearly shows that,through mediating the atom-cavity coupling strength and photon-photon hopping rate appropriately,the entanglement dynamics displays some distinctive temporal properties differing from those obtained in one-excitation space,characterized partially by these newly quantum phenomena termed as entanglement sudden death and recurrence.Effectively,within the framework of two excitations,we suggest the purposeful manipulations of atomic entanglement communication for quantum networks. 展开更多

The synthetic jets generated by multiple-frequency actuating signals composed of a basic sinusoidal wave and a superposed high-frequency signal is investigated by two-dimensional simulation in the present study.The effect of the frequency and amplitude of the high-frequency signal on the synthetic jet in the quiescent flow is investigated in detail with stroke length ratio L and Reynolds number Re_(U0)kept as constant.It is found that,with the high-frequency signal superposed,the vortex pairs induced by the synthetic jets are strengthened and accelerated.The distance that the vortex pairs can propagate downstream is also elongated.The entrainment of the synthetic jets is thus enhanced as well.The optimal design is reached when the frequency ratio,defined as the ratio between the superposed signal frequency and the basic signal frequency,is fixed at f^(+)=2.At this optimal frequency ratio,the jet entrainment increases monotonously with the amplitude of the high-frequency signal. 展开更多

Detailed unsteady numerical simulation has been carried out to investigate the mechanism of adjacent syntheticjets and the influence of different phases on the mixing of coaxial jets. The results show the combined jet, formedby coupling the vortex pairs at the orifice of two adjacent actuators, can exhibit better controlling effect. Spanwisepressure difference appears because of the existence of phase difference between the left jet and right jet, whichresults in the variation of the combined jet. When the phase difference is greater than zero, mixing enhancementof coaxial jets can be achieved, but there are maximum phase difference and optimal phase difference. On thecontrary, application of adjacent synthetic jets always leads to the mixing reduction when phase difference is lessthan zero. 展开更多
