The aim of this study was to unravel the complex charging histories. Systematic analysis of fluid inclusions was employed to complete the investigation. Fluorescence observation of oil inclusions under UV light, and microthermometry of both oil and aqueous inclusions in 105 core samples taken from the Ordovician reservoir indicated that the Ordovician reservoir underwent four oil chargings and a gas charging. The hydrocarbon chargings occurred at the late Hercynian, the Indo-Sinian and Yanshan, the early Himalaya, the middle Himalaya, and the late Himalaya,respectively. The critical hydrocarbon charging time was at the late Hercynian. 展开更多

The principle of miniature isolated solid-state encapsulation technology of high-temperature pressure sensor and the structure of packaging are discussed, including static electricity bonding, stainless steel diaphragm selection and rippled design, laser welding, silicon oil infilling, isolation and other techniques used in sensor packaging, which can affect the performance of the sensor. By adopting stainless steel diaphragm and high-temperature silicon oil as isolation materials, not only the encapsulation of the sensor is as small as 15 mm in diameter and under 1 mA drive, its full range output is 72 mV and zero stability is 0.48% F.S/mon, but also the reliability of the sensor is improved and its application is widely broadened. 展开更多

Evaluation of Selected Quality Degradation Indices for Palestinian Extra Virgin Olive Oil Bottled in Different Packaging Materials upon Storage under Different Lighting Conditions

The effect of packaging materials and lighting conditions on quality of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) was investigated during six months. The results highlighted an influence of light and type of packaging material on EVOO-quality with storage time. At shelf, all packages maintained EVOO at the end of storage in terms of acidity, peroxide value, K232, while K270 exceeded limit of EVOO in glass and PET-stored oil. Loss of phenols was the highest in glass-stored oil and the lowest in high-density polyethylene (HDPE)-stored oil. In terms of sensory evaluation, glass-stored oil lost EVOO grade after three months and its edible compliance after six months, while HDPE-stored oil maintained EVOO grade 90 days and was virgin after six months. In extended lighting, acidity, peroxide value and K232 did not exceed EVOO grade, while K270 exceeded EVOO grade after 30 days in glass and polyethylene terephthalate (PET)-stored oil and after 90 days in HDPE. The loss of phenols was the largest in glass and smallest in HDPE-stored oil. Glass stored-oil lost organoleptic edible compliance before 90 days, while that in PET was virgin at 90 days and that in HDPE maintained EVOO quality 90 days. At the end of experiment, oils in all packages were not edible. In dark, all packages maintained oil in EVOO quality in terms of all indices. The loss of phenols was marginal but was the least in glass and the highest in HDPE. It was concluded that HDPE bottles conserve stored olive oil at shelf or illumination better than PET or glass, while in dark, glass was superior over plastic. 展开更多

The invasion of particles and the filtrate of drilling fluid are proven as one of the key factors accounting for reservoir damage. Based on the ideal packing theory, the practical software has been developed to optimize the blending proportion of several bridging agents, and the core flooding tests were conducted to evaluate return permeability of core samples contaminated with different drilling fluids. Experimental results show that the ideal packing approach can reduce the dynamic filtration rate, improve the return permeability and drawdown the breakthrough pressure, indicating that this kind of drilling fluids can meet the demands of formation damage control for high permeability sandstone reservoirs. Some applying procedures for formation damage control are also proposed in this paper. 展开更多

Experimental Study on Frictional and Sealing Performances of Packing Rings in an Oil-free Gas Compressor

To enhance the reliability and to extend service life of packing rings, tribological and sealing perfor- mances are investigated based on the experimental results. Friction force, leakage rate and power consumption of three materials of pressure packing seals are measured in a refitted vertical gas compressor. The rings are made of common filled polytetrafiuroethylene (Filled PTFE), PTFE reinforced with 30% mass fraction carbon fiber (30%CF^PTFE), and carbon-carbon composites infiltrated with PTFE (C/C+PTFE), respectively. It is found that packing rings will periodically vibrate with the periodic vibration of pressure packing after the travel direction of motion abruptly turns to the reverse direction. Furthermore, the amplitude of vibration slows down with the increasing crank angle. Approximate value of friction force is available by multiple-point fast Fourier transformation (FFT) employed to process the experimental results by reducing the impact of vibration to a great extent. Of three materials of rings employed in experiments, Filled PTFE presents minimal leakage rate accom- panied with maximum power consumption. And 30%CF+PTFE exhibits minimum friction power and moderate leakage rate. As for C/C+PTFE, its high mechanical and thermal properties are favorable factors to enhance the ability of operating under high pressure and velocity and to improve the wear resistance. Unfortunately, this also leads to a large leakage rate.
