Firstly, graphene oxide (GO) film was deposited on graphite substrate by electrophoretic deposition method, and then reduced by subsequent electrochemical reduction of GO to obtain reduced GO (ERGO) film with high electrochemical performance. The morphology, structure and electrochemical performance of the prepared graphene-like film were confirmed by SEM, XRD and FT-IR. These unique materials were found to provide high specific capacitance and good cycling stability. The high specific capacitance of 254 F/g was obtained from cyclic voltammetry measurement at a scan rate of 10 mV/s. When the current density increased to 83.3 A/g, the specific capacitance values still remained 132 F/g. Meanwhile, the high powder density of 39.1 kW/kg was measured at energy density of 11.8 W-h/kg in 1 mol/L H2SO4 solution. Furthermore, at a constant scan rate of 50 mV/s, 97.02% of its capacitance was retained for 1000 cycles. These promising results were attributed to the unique assembly structure of graphene film and low contact resistance, which indicated their potential application to electrochemical capacitors.展开更多

Then, CFD software was used to simulate the flow, heat transfer and chemical reaction process in reduction furnace and to analyze the change law of deposition characteristic along with the H_2 mole fraction, silicon rod height and silicon rod diameter. The results show that with the increase of H_2 mole fraction, silicon growth rate increases firstly and then decreases. On the contrary, SiHCl_3 conversion rate and unit energy consumption decrease firstly and then increase. Silicon production rate increases constantly. The optimal H_2 mole fraction is 0.8-0.85. With the growth of silicon rod height, Si HCl3 conversion rate, silicon production rate and silicon growth rate increase, while unit energy consumption decreases. In terms of chemical reaction, the higher the silicon rod is, the better the performance is. In the view of the top-heavy situation, the actual silicon rod height is limited to be below 3 m. With the increase of silicon rod diameter, silicon growth rate decreases firstly and then increases. Besides, SiHCl_3 conversion rate and silicon production rate increase, while unit energy consumption first decreases sharply, then becomes steady. In practice, the bigger silicon rod diameter is more suitable. The optimal silicon rod diameter must be over 120 mm.展开更多

The comprehension of these processes implies studies in artificial seawater and a follow-up of the parameters by voltarnperometry and chronoamperometry. Calcareous deposits electrochemically are very often used to follow up the evolution of scale deposition in desalination circuits. Again, the scale formation is brought about by electrochemical reduction of dissolved oxygen. The hydroxyl ions formed on the metallic surface engender a rise of interfacial pH which causes calcareous deposition (CaCOs and Mg(OH)2). This reaction goes with reaction of hydrogen evolution which could disrupt the formed deposit, A study is carried out in a solution of seawater ASTM without calcium and without magnesium (so that the deposit will not be formed) on a titanium rotating disk electrode monitored between 300 and 1000 rpm. Study shows that Levich criterion is checked for the four values of selected potential on the diffusion plateau and a very cathodic polarization potential and a high temperature favors hydrogen current rate.展开更多

This study systematically reviews Mo cycles and their accompanying isotopic fractionations in modern ocean as well as their application in paleo-ocean redox reconstruction. Our review indicates that Mo enrichment in sediments mainly records the adsorption of Fe-Mn oxides/hydroxides and chemical bonding of H2 S. Thus, Mo enrichment in anoxic sediments generally reflects the presence of H2 S in the water column or pore waters. In addition to the effect of euxinia, sedimentary Mo enrichment is related to the size of the oceanic Mo reservoir. Given these primary mechanisms for oceanic Mo cycling, Mo abundance data and Mo/TOC ratios acquired from euxinic sediments in geological times show that fluctuations of the oceanic Mo reservoir are well correlated with oxygenation of the atmosphere and oceans and suggest that oxygenation occurred in phases. Mo proxies suggest that Mo isotopes in strongly euxinic sediments reflect the contemporaneous Mo isotopic composition of seawater, but other processes such as iron-manganese(Fe-Mn) adsorption and weak euxinia can result in different fractionations. Diagenesis may complicate Mo enrichment and its isotopic fractionation in sediments. With appropriate constraints on the Mo isotopic composition of seawater and various outputs, a Mo isotope mass-balance model can quantitatively reconstruct global redox conditions over geological history. In summary, Mo proxies can be effectively used to reconstruct oceanic redox conditions on various timescales due to their sensitivity to both local and global marine redox conditions. However, given the complexity of geochemical processes, particularly the effects of diagenesis, further work is required to apply Mo proxies to ancient oceans.展开更多
