The morphologies, thickness, corrosion performances, and tribological properties of the coatings were investigated by the scanning electron microscopy, the electrochemical measurement system, and MS-T3000 friction test rig, respectively. The results show that the structure of the coatings becomes denser, and thickness becomes thinner with the increase of the current frequency. It is also found that the corrosion resistance of the coatings produced at higher frequency is improved greatly and the difference of the corrosion current density becomes small with increasing current frequency, which is similar to that of the coating thickness. The tribological test shows that the friction coefficient decreases with increasing the current frequency and the wear resistance of the coatings is influenced by both the thickness and structures. All these results were explained by analyzing the growing process of the MAO coating.展开更多

The results show that eutectic Si undergoes stubbing, necking, fragmentation, and growth in the initial stage (250 min); in the middle solution stage (250 to 400 min), the eutectic Si morphology has no significant change, only the degree of spheroidizing becomes higher; after 600 min, the growth of eutectic Si is a coarsening process controlled by diffusion and follows the Liftshitz-Slyozov-Wangner (LSW) model, and the eutectic Si morphology deteriorates due to the occurrence of facets and lap. Based on the quantitative measure and regression analysis, the eutectic Si morphology has a remarkable influence on mechanical properties and fracture behavior.展开更多

The average crystallite size of the barium phosphates was calculated by particle size distribution curves, and the size of the products was 33.40, 29. 37, 24. 13, 47.76 and 96. 53 μm when the pH values of the mixed solution are 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, respectively. The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) show that the structures of the particles controlled by the mixed solution are mainly BaaPO4 when pH 〈 10; the barium phosphates are synthesized by biological deposition which is the mixture of BaHPO4 and Ba5 (PO4)3OH when pH = 10; when pH = 11, the barium phosphates are also the mixtures, which are Ba5 (PO4)3OH and BaNaPO4. The above results indicate that the phosphate-mineralization microbe can produce a certain enzyme which constantly hydrolyzes phosphate monoester in the mixed solution, and then PO4^3- ions are obtained.展开更多

Both the shape of ceria and the loading of copper affect the chemical bonding of copper species on ceria surfaces and the electronic and geometric character of the relevant interfaces. Nanostructured ceria, including particles(polyhedra), rods, and cubes, provides anchoring sites for the copper species. The atomic arrangements and chemical properties of the(111),(110) and(100) facets, preferentially exposed depending on the shape of ceria, govern the copper-ceria interactions and in turn determine their catalytic properties. Also, the metal loading significantly influences the dispersion of copper species on ceria with a specific shape, forming copper layers, clusters, and nanoparticles. Lower copper contents result in copper monolayers and/or bilayers while higher copper loadings lead to multi-layered clusters and faceted particles. The active sites are usually generated via interactions between the copper atoms in the metal species and the oxygen vacancies on ceria, which is closely linked to the number and density of surface oxygen vacancies dominated by the shape of ceria.展开更多

文摘Using an optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM), the variation of eutectic Si morphology of Al-Si alloy in solution treatment was observed to study its influence on mechanical properties and fracture behavior. Based on the quantitative measure and regression analysis, the eutectic Si morphology has a remarkable influence on mechanical properties and fracture behavior.

文摘A procedure of low temperature solid-phase sintering(LTSS) was carried out to fabricate sintered metal fibrous media(SMFM) with high specific surface area.Stainless steel fibers which were produced by cutting process were first plated with a coarse copper coating layer by electroless plating process.A low-temperature sintering process was then completed at about 800 °C for 1 h under the protection of hydrogen atmosphere. The results show that a novel SMFM with complex surface morphology and high specific surface area(0.2 m2/g) can be obtained in this way.The effect of sintering temperature on the surface morphology and specific surface area of SMFM was studied by means of scanning electron microscopy and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller.The damage of micro-structure during the sintering process mainly contributed to the loss of specific surface area of SMFM and the optimal sintering temperature was 800 °C.

文摘A phosphate-mineralization microbe was used to induce barium phosphates precipitation, and the precipitates with different types were obtained under different pH values. The above results indicate that the phosphate-mineralization microbe can produce a certain enzyme which constantly hydrolyzes phosphate monoester in the mixed solution, and then PO4^3- ions are obtained.
文摘Ag3PO4 is found to be a highly efficient photocatalyst and receives great attention. The high activity of the photocatalyst is credited to the intrinsic electronic structure. The morphology control and nano-composite fabrication are used to improve the performance and practicability. This paper reviews the structure, properties and some theoretical aspects of Ag3PO4 single crystal. Also, the major strategies, namely the morphology control and hetero-nanostructure construction, as ways to improve the performance of Ag3PO4-based photocatalysts, are summarized with the aid of some typical instances.

文摘MoS_2 samples with controllable morphologies and structures were synthesized using surfactantassisted hydrothermal processes. The effects of surfactants(PEG,PVP,P123,SDS,AOT,and CTAB)on the morphologies and structures of MoS_2 samples were investigated. The results revealed that spherical,bulk-like,and flower-like MoS_2 particles assembled by NH4~+-intercalated MoS_2 nano-sheets were synthesized. The morphologies of the MoS_2 samples and their structures(including the slab length and the number of stacked layers) of MoS_2 nano-sheets in these samples could be controlled by adjusting the surfactants.Mono-dispersed spherical MoS_2 particles could be synthesized with PEG via the creation of MoS_2 nano-sheets with slab lengths shorter than 15 nm and fewer than six stacked layers.Possible formation mechanisms of these MoS_2 samples created via surfactant-assisted hydrothermal processes are proposed.Further, the catalytic activities of MoS_2 samples for anthracene hydrogenation were evaluated in a slurry-bed reactor. The catalyst synthesized with the surfactant PEG exhibited the highest catalytic hydrogenation activity.Compared with the other catalysts,it had a smaller particle size,mono-dispersed spherical morphology, shorter slab length, and fewer stacked layers;these were all beneficial to exposing its active edges. This work provides an efficient approach to synthesize transition metal sulfides with controllable morphologies and structures.

文摘This study focuses on drawing a hydrothermal synthesis process map for Co3O4 nanoparticles with various morphologies and investigating the effects of Co3O4 nanocatalyst morphology on CO oxidation.A series of cobalt-hydroxide-carbonate nanoparticles with various morphologies(i.e.,nanorods,nanosheets,and nanocubes) were successfully synthesized, and Co3O4 nanoparticles were obtained by thermal decomposition of the cobalt-hydroxide-carbonate precursors. The results suggest that the cobalt source is a key factor for controlling the morphology of cobalt-hydroxide-carbonate at relatively low hydrothermal temperatures(≤ 140℃).Nanorods can be synthesized in CoCl2 solution, while Co(NO3)2 solution promotes the formation of nanosheets.Further increasing the synthesis temperature(higher than 140 ℃) results in the formation of nanocubes in either Co(NO3)2 or CoCl2 solution. The reaction time only affects the size of the obtained nanoparticles. The presence of CTAB could improve the uniformity and dispersion of particles.Co3O4 nanosheets showed much higher catalytic activity for CO oxidation than nanorods and nanocubes because it has more abundant Co^(3+) on the surface, much higher reducibility, and better oxygen desorption capacity.
文摘Bismuth tungstate(Bi_(2)WO_(6))has become a research hotspot due to its potential in photocatalytic energy conversion and environmental purification.Nevertheless, the limited light absorption and fast recombination of photogenerated carriers hinder the further improvement of the photocatalytic performance of Bi_(2)WO_(6).Herein,we provide a systematic review for the recent advances on Bi_(2)WO_(6)‐based photocatalysts. It starts with the crystal structure, optical properties and photocatalytic fundamentals of Bi_(2)WO_(6).Then,we focus on the modification strategies of Bi_(2)WO_(6)based on morphology control, atomic modulation and composite fabrication for diverse photocatalytic applications, such as organic synthesis, water splitting,CO2 reduction, water treatment, air purification, bacterial inactivation, etc. Finally, some current challenges and future development prospects are proposed. We expect that this review can provide a useful reference and guidance for the development of efficient Bi_(2)WO_(6)photocatalysts.
文摘The atomic structure of the active sites in Cu/CeO2 catalysts is intimately associated with the copper-ceria interaction. The active sites are usually generated via interactions between the copper atoms in the metal species and the oxygen vacancies on ceria, which is closely linked to the number and density of surface oxygen vacancies dominated by the shape of ceria.
