The Niushou River basin is one of the fastest urbanizing areas in Nanjing City, East China, however, the high urban land percentage has leaded to series of flooding events. The paper aims to reveal the impact of imperviousness ratio, patterns and drainage system on flooding areas based on the unit of catchment and Storm Water Management Model(SWMM). The following conclusions were reached. 1) The ratio or spatial characteristics of the impervious surface affected the runoff volumes and associated floods areas. Despite the well-established drainage system, the high imperviousness ratio, particularly clustered pattern in locations such as hydrological sensitive zones aggravated the flooding tension across the basin. 2) The poor drainage hydraulic efficiency in local areas, and the lack of integral processes of infiltration, yield, storage and discharge in local catchment and larger basin are also significant factors. 3) The Niushou River basin development should improve the drainage transformations from a single local, short-term drainage process into integral, elastic processes of infiltration, yield, storage, and discharge.展开更多

Filtration seems to induce the formation of aqueous nanostructures. The aim of this work was to verify the influence of filtration processes on water structure detected by spectral variations in NIR region. Samples of ultrapure water (MilliQ-Millipore, Vimodrone, Milan, Italy) before and after iterated filtrations were analyzed. NIR spectra were collected in transmission mode in the whole NIR range, by using NIRFIex N500 spectrometer at constant temperature (40 ± 1 ℃). NIR data were processed using Unscrambler software v. 9.2 in evaluating qualitative differences between filtered and not filtered samples. The information related to possible solvent physical stresses were highlighted in the range 6500-7500 cm^-1. The shifts observed were ascribable to a different distribution of the number of water molecules involved in hydrogen bonds in filtered and not filtered water samples, at constant temperature. NIR spectroscopy, commonly used to study relationship between spectral changes and hydrogen bonds in water at increasing temperature values, was applied to evaluate effects of filtration processes on water structure. The obtained results are in agreement with literature data and allowed the improvement of the knowledge about pure water characteristics when some mechanical perturbations are applied.展开更多

For it not only relates to the community's harmony but also to the whole social's stability. This paper summarized some experiences and practices from some typical foreign countries on their community endowment, such as the British community care model, the Japan's aged care at home, the PACE mode of United States, the Germany's long-term care services, the Australian's old-age community security. On the basis of a comparative analysis, this paper concluded some experience and enlightenment of serving the old in abroad urban community, this include: Give full play to the function and role of the community in the pension, take law as safeguard on the implementation of community endowment, professional services, government-led and multiple subject participation, provide comprehensive and diversified service, etc. Combined with China's national conditions, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions in the end to further perfect China's elderly community service.展开更多
