The assemblies have been investigated by means of...Gold nanoparticles, prepared by the Frens method, have been electrostatically assemblied onto mica substrates treated with different concentration of MnCl\-2 solution. The assemblies have been investigated by means of atomic force microscopy(AFM). The immersing time of bare mica in Mn\+\{2+\} solution and the concentration of Mn\+\{2+\} solution both have significant effect on the assembled process of gold nanoparticulate monolayer. The coverage of gold particles shows periodical evolution on the immersing time of mica in MnCl\-2 solution. The higher is the concentration of MnCl\-2, the shorter is the time to attain maximum coverage. An ion\|exchanged and layer\|dissociated mechanism is put forth to explain the experimental results above.展开更多

The influen ce of bovine serum albumin (BSA) was studined on the polymorph, morphology and g rowth orientation of hydroxyapatite in the process of the biomineralization. XRD and SEM were respectively used to analysis the polymorph and morphology of the crystal induced by BSA monolayers. The results of XRD show that the HAP grows on ly along the (112) face, indicating a well oriented face in HAP. In addition, SE M shows that the morphologies of the HAP is of a network structure. In conclusio n, when the BSA form monolayers, it can be used as a template to induce the HAP to crystallize. Accordingly, the monolayers of the protein can be used to induce the inorganic materials to grow with a complex morphology and a well oriented f ace by biomimetic approach.展开更多

The precisely tailored structure of dendron thiols with local controlled hydrophobic and hydrophilic peripheries allow the formation of designed surface structures on gold surface, e.g. nano stripes, honeycomb and homogeneous structure.展开更多
