The river-crossing development of cities is imperative. The Riverside New Area has gradually become the key area of urban development and the new economy growth pole. Based on the development history of Nanchang, the evolution of the river-crossing development of Nanchang city was analyzed systematically, and river-crossing development of Nanchang was divided into 3 stages of initial river-crossing development stage, slow river-crossing develop- ment stage and rapid river-crossing development stage.
