The MIP was developed on the silica-coated UCNPs using N-(1-hydroxy-2-naphthoyl amido)-(L)-phenylalanine (HNA-Phe) as the alternative template. The final composite combined the advantages of the high selectivity of MIP with the high fluorescence intensity of UCNPs which was selective and sensitive to OTA. Under the optimal condition, the fluorescence intensity of UCNPs@SiO2@MIP decreases linearly when the concentration of OTA increases from 0.05 to 1.0 mg/L. The detection limit of OTA with the method was 0.031 mg/L. At three spiked concentration levels (50, 100 and 200 μg/kg), the recovery ranges of OTA in corn, rice and feed are 88.0%–91.6%, 80.2%–91.6% and 89.2%–90.4%, respectively.展开更多

METHODS: Sixty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a normal control (NC) group, a model control (MC) group, an herbs-partitioned moxibustion (HPM) group, a mild-warm moxibustion (MWM) group and a salicylazosulphapyridine (SASP) group, with 12 rats in each group. The CD model rats were treated with trinitrobenzene sulphonic acid to induce intestinal inflammation. The rats in the HPM and MWM groups were treated at the Tianshu (ST25) and Qihai (CV6) acupoints once daily for 14 d, and the SASP group was fed SASP twice daily for 14 d. No additional treatment was given to the MC and NC groups. Themicrostructure of the colonic epithelium was observed under a transmission electron microscope, the transepithelial resistance was measured using a shortcircuit current, colonic epithelial cell apoptosis was determined by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferasemediated dUTP-biotin nick end labelling assay, and the expression of occludin, claudin-1 and zonula occludens-l (ZO-1) in the colonic epithelial junction was determined by Western blotting and immunofluorescence staining. RESULTS: Compared with the MC group, the microstructure of the colonic epithelial barrier was signifi-cantly improved in rats treated with HPM, MWM or SASP, meanwhile, the current flow was reduced signifi-cantly, with values of 168.20 ± 6.14 vs 99.70 ± 3.13, 99.10 ± 4.28 and 120.30 ± 3.65 mA, respectively (P = 0.001). However, the HPM and MWM groups had higher current flow rates than the SASP group (99.70 ± 3.13, 99.10 ± 4.28 vs 120.30 ± 3.65 mA, P = 0.001). The number of the apoptotic colonic epithelial cells in HPM, MWM and SASP groups was largely reduced (61.5 ± 16.91 vs 15.5 ± 8.89, 14.8 ± 6.27 and 24.7 ± 9.68, respectively (P = 0.001); and the expression of occlu- din, claudin-1 and ZO-1 in the MWM and HPM groups was signifi cantly enhanced (0.48 ± 0.10, 0.64 ± 0.09 vs 0.18 ± 0.05 for occludin, 0.12 ± 0.02, 0.17 ± 0.03 vs 0.05 ± 0.01 for claudin-1, and 0.08 ± 0.01, 0.11 ± 0.01 vs 0.02 ± 0.01 for ZO-1). And in SASP group, the expression of occludin and ZO-1 was also signifi cantly increased (0.27 ± 0.04 vs 0.18 ± 0.05 for occludin and 0.05 ± 0.01 vs 0.02 ± 0.01 for ZO-1), but there was no significant difference for claudin-1. The HPM and MWM groups had higher expression of occludin, claudin-1 and ZO-1 than the SASP group. CONCLUSION: HPM and MWM treatment can down-regulate apoptosis of colonic epithelial cells, repair tight junctions and enhance colonic epithelial barrier function in rats with CD.展开更多

Air and surface water temperatures (℃) varied from 25.1 to 30.1 and 24.5 to 28.5, respectively, in the former waters and from 25.5 to 31.2 and 25.0 to 29.3 in the latter waters. The respective salinities varied from 6.0 to 28.5 and 5.0 to 33.1 and the respective pH ranged between 7.0 and 8.3 and 7.2 and 8.3. Correspondingly, the dissolved oxygen content varied from 3.1 to 7.5 and 3.1 to 7.9 mgL1 while the light extinction coefficient (LEC) values ranged between 3.1 and 10.1 and 1.8 and 11.0. The content ranges of inorganic nutrients, i.e., nitrate, nitrite, phosphate and silicate (μmolL^-1), in the Parangipettai and Coleroon coastal waters were: 6.5- 27.0; 1.0- 8.9; 0.1-3.0 and 15.0 -140 and 10.1-23.4; 1.2-8.9; 0.2-3.1 and 55-125 respectively. The chlorophyll α contents in both waters ranged from 2.0-7.5 μgL^-1. Presently, 124 phytoplankton species representing different classes were recorded in the Coleroon coast, viz, Bacillariophyceae (77); Dinophyceae (19); Cyanophyceae (15); Chlorophyceae (10) and Chrysophyceae (3), whereas 117 phytoplankton species were recorded in the Parangipettai coast, viz, Bacillariophyceae (66); Dinophyceae (22); Cyanophyceae (19); Chlorophyceae (7) and Chrysophyceae (3). The phytoplankton cell abundance in the Parangipettai and Coleroon coastal waters varied from 290 to 111662 and 140 to 132 757 cells L^-1, respectively, with peak diversity (3.38 and 3.52 bits indl.) recorded in summer. The maximum abundance occurred in summer coinciding with the stable hydrographical conditions. The seasonal distribution and abundance of phytoplankton are discussed in relation to hydrographical parameters. Totally 31 and 24 species of phytoplankton were found to be bloom-forming in the Parangipettai and Coleroon coastal waters, respectively. Presently Trichodesmium bloom was also observed, which appeared at the 10 fathom level of the coastal water and quickly spread to the marine zone of the Vellar estuary and near the mouth region of the mangrove waters. The Parangipettai and Coleroon coastal waters are subject to long term fluctuations in physico-chemical conditions depending upon the seasonal tidal range and freshwater influx, resulting in a continuous exchange of organic, inorganic, plant and animal matters.展开更多

Ourstudies show that the cross section σ(e~+ e~- → tbΠ_t~-) Teaches the level of tens of fb andσ(e~+ e~- → W~+Π_t~-) reaches the level of a few fb. With the yearly integrated luminosity of £~ 500 fb~(-1) expected at the planned colliders, one could collect thousands of charged top-pion ofevents via the process e~+ e~- → tbΠ_t~- and hundreds of events via the process e~+ e~- →W~+Π_t~-. The flavor changing decay mode Π_t~- → bc is the best channel to detect chargedtop-pion due to the clean SM background. With a large number of events and the clean background, thecharged top-pion should be observable at the planned colliders. Therefore, our studies in thispaper can help us to search for charged top-pion, and furthermore, to test the TC2 model.展开更多

Marion hotspot induced LIP of Mahajanga Flood Basalt (ca. 92Ma) in Madagascar triggered high intensity earthquake along Narmada Lineament and permitted a short lived marine transgression during late Turonian with spectacular estuarine deposits of limited thickness, preserved as archive of “Greenhouse Climatic Record” ? Reunion hotspot induced LIP of Deccan Flood Basalt, stretching from western to eastern India around Rajahmundry area attracted worldwide attention for the unique fauna and flora preserved in the intertrappean beds straddling Cretaceous-Palaeogene boundary. This massive subaerial LIP (ca. 66Ma) permitted fairly deep penetration of sea along collision facing Subathu-Dogadda Line-ament during late Maastrichtian-Danian, but due to thick vegetation cover, tectonic disturbance and scarce out-crops the evidence is less straightforward than along Narmada rift.展开更多

Research methodology for women's studies from a feminist perspective is employed covering action-oriented research initiating from the grounded issues, a bottom-up approach, and a participatory method where the researchers act as facilitators. It is necessarily a longitudinal research work with a new paradigm to change the women's situation. This methodology is deemed effective to identify impacts of the crises as described in the paper. It can be found that the root cause of women workers' exploitation is the economic efficiency theory, while policy development should be specifically designed along with engendering policy makers. Exercising the rights to organize the unorganized women home-based workers is no way repeatable from standard practice of organizing formal workers. All these require action of committed and skilled feminists with adequate praxis resources.展开更多

In this study, we wanted to assess whether changes in the expression of FAK, a tyrosine kinase, which is recruited to focal adhesions and plays a key role in cell migration, proliferation and survival, could reflect the invasive capacity of bladder carcinomas. The aim of this study was to evaluate the FAK expression in cancer ceils as an important prognostic factor of the evolution of bladder carcinomas. Tumor and paired peritumoral biopsies were obtained during transurethral endoscopic resection or cystectomy of bladder tumors in 280 patients at the Urology Unit of the Mustapha Hospital of Algiers and the Hospital of Tizi-Ouzou (Algeria). The authors studied FAK expression in samples from bladder carcinomas at different stages of malignant transformation by western blot analysis using a specific anti-FAK antibody. Western blot is one of the most common laboratory techniques; it is used to detect the presence of a specific protein in a complex mixture extracted from cells. A weak increase in FAK expression was observed in tumors of grade 1 and 2 (1.65; 2.99) as compared to healthy tissues; it became particularly important in grade 3 tumors; the authors show that FAK levels significantly increased gradually according to the tumor stage.展开更多

Thousands and even millions of the people have been using Blog, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and others as a communication medium. Many of them are mobile connected and have made it a daily practices. Interestingly, all these changes are not followed by Onmi International Hospital which it ultimately in 2009 led to the crisis. This crisis was beginning from the customer, Prita Mulyasari, who felt disappointed at the hospital service, and wrote an e-mail to her friend. Suddenly, in a short time the e-mail was disseminated widely on the Internet and produced a lot of support and public humiliation to the Omni International Hospital. This paper aims at explaining the cybcr crisis experienced by Omni International Hospital and how to overcome the problem at corporate level.展开更多

CONCLUSION: HPM and MWM treatment can down-regulate apoptosis of colonic epithelial cells, repair tight junctions and enhance colonic epithelial barrier function in rats with CD.

Therefore, our studies in thispaper can help us to search for charged top-pion, and furthermore, to test the TC2 model.
文摘Late Cretaceous sea inundation of major continents, surprisingly did not affect Indian block except by two major subaerial events of Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs). Marion hotspot induced LIP of Mahajanga Flood Basalt (ca. 92Ma) in Madagascar triggered high intensity earthquake along Narmada Lineament and permitted a short lived marine transgression during late Turonian with spectacular estuarine deposits of limited thickness, preserved as archive of “Greenhouse Climatic Record” ? Reunion hotspot induced LIP of Deccan Flood Basalt, stretching from western to eastern India around Rajahmundry area attracted worldwide attention for the unique fauna and flora preserved in the intertrappean beds straddling Cretaceous-Palaeogene boundary. This massive subaerial LIP (ca. 66Ma) permitted fairly deep penetration of sea along collision facing Subathu-Dogadda Line-ament during late Maastrichtian-Danian, but due to thick vegetation cover, tectonic disturbance and scarce out-crops the evidence is less straightforward than along Narmada rift.
文摘This paper aims to have a grounded picture regarding the impacts of the economic crises on women workers in the informal employment, identify the economic theory whose application is disadvantageous to the women home-based workers, support recognition of women homeworkers by the policy makers, and empower the workers through exercising their rights. All these require action of committed and skilled feminists with adequate praxis resources.
文摘Malignant transformation of normal cells involves important structural and functional changes, particularly in cell adhesion. A weak increase in FAK expression was observed in tumors of grade 1 and 2 (1.65; 2.99) as compared to healthy tissues; it became particularly important in grade 3 tumors; the authors show that FAK levels significantly increased gradually according to the tumor stage.
文摘Today, Social Networking Sites (SNS), online forum, and e-mail communication have become a daily phenomenon in Indonesia. This paper aims at explaining the cybcr crisis experienced by Omni International Hospital and how to overcome the problem at corporate level.

文摘This work aims at comparing alterations in the proteomes of human epithelial ovarian cancer xenografts between stressed and non-stressed immunodeficient mice as well as exploring the molecular mechanisms linking chronic psychological stress to ovarian cancer oncogenesis and progression.SK-OV-3 cells were injected subcutaneously into nude mice. The stress group was subjected to a chronic physical restraint protocol for 6 h on 35 consecutive days, while the control group was unrestrained. All mice were sacrificed on day 36 after SK-OV-3 cell injection, and tumors were excised.Tumor tissues were processed for 2D gel electrophoresis, mass spectrometry(nanoUPLC-ESI-MS/MS) and Western blotting. The expression of 20 proteins was found to be significantly altered between the stress and control groups,of which 14 were up-regulated,five were down-regulated,and one protein was found only in the stress group. All proteins were identified by UPLC-ESI-MS/MS,and Western blotting results were consistent with those of proteomic methods. The present results provide new evidence relating to the molecular mechanism underlying the relationship between psychological stress and tumor progression.
