Results s how that the shifts of R...A new experimental measurement of residual stresses around Vickers′ indentations on the surface of the SiC/Al 2O 3 nanocomposites is proposed with the aid of a Raman microprobe. Results s how that the shifts of R lines in the fluorescence spectra va ry with the distance from the centre of indentation. The magnitude of load appli ed on the surface of the materials through the indenter influences the shifts of R lines to great extent. The luminescence of R lines of the materials before indenting is used to determine the residual stresses around the indentation in the materials, assuming that the stress tensor is transversely isotropic. Final ly, the term of hydrostatic stress is adopted to explain and compare different residual stresses around indentations with the increase of the indenting load an d the distance from the centre of indentations. <展开更多

The plasma was formed by action of the high voltage pulse generator (...The emission of CuInSe2-based spark discharge plasma at atmospheric pressure in air has been investigated by optical emission spectroscopy method. The plasma was formed by action of the high voltage pulse generator (with nanosecond pulse) on the corresponding electrodes (CulnSe2 compound). The emission characteristics have been obtained for the spark discharge plasma at 3 mm interelectrode distance. It was established that the spark discharge plasma radiation was determined by decay products of the compound from which electrodes were made. The most suitable spectral lines for plasma diagnostics is atomic copper lines in the visible spectrum and atomic indium lines in UV (ultraviolet) and visible spectrum.展开更多

Water vapor of relatively low pressures (〈0.5 T...Carbon dioxide pressure-broadened ro-vibrational transitions belonging to thev^2+3v^3 band of H2160 have been measured with a sensitive cavity ring-down spectrometer. Water vapor of relatively low pressures (〈0.5 Torr) was used to limit the self-collisions among water molecules. After the calibration using the precise atomic transitions of Rb and a thermo- stabilized Fabry-Perot interferometer, 10^-5 cm^-1 frequency accuracy has been achieved. Line parameters are derived from least-squares fitting of the spectra using the "soft" collision model. The retrieved line parameters can be applied in the study of water absorption in the CO2-rich atmospheres of planets like Venus and Mars.展开更多

The fixed-grating spectrograph PGS-2 Carl Zeiss Jena is actually a variation on the very first spectrometer design, where photo-plate was replaced with a detector array of PIXIS-Roper Scientific camera.
