Absorption and Recurrence Spectra of Sodium Rydberg Atom in a Strong External Magnetic Field

Using core-scattered closed-orbit theory, we calculate the photoabsorption and the scaled recurrence spectra of sodium Rydberg atom in strong magnetic field below ionization threshold. The non-Coulombic nature of the ionic core have been modified by a model potential, which includes an attractive Coulomb potential and a short-ranged core potential. A family of core-scattered nonhydrogenic closed orbits have also been discovered. The Fourier transformed spectra of sodium atom have allowed direct comparison between peaks in such plot and the scaled action values of closed orbits. The new peaks in the recurrence spectra of sodium atom have been considered as effects caused by the core scattering of returning waves at the ionic core. The results are compared with those of hydrogen case, which show that the core-scattered effects play an important role in alkali-metal atoms. 展开更多

Based on the cascade two-photon laser dynamic equation derived with the technique of quantum Langevin operators with the considerations of coherently prepared three-level atoms and the classical field injected into the cavity, we numerically study the effects of atomic coherence and classical field on the chaotic dynamics of a two-photon laser. Lyapunov exponent and bifurcation diagram calculations show that the Lorenz chaos and hyperchaos can be induced or inhibited by the atomic coherence and the classical field via crisis or Hopf bifurcations. 展开更多

Interface is the key issue to understand the performance of composite materials.In this work,we study the interface between octahydro-1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocine(HMX) and graphite,try to find out its contribution to mixture explosives.The work starts from the force-field derivation.We get ab initio based pair potentials across the interface,and then use them to study the interface structural and mechanical properties.A series of large scale molecular dynamics simulations are performed.The structure evolution,energy variation and elastic/plastic transformation of interface and polycrystal systems are calculated.The desensitizing mechanism of graphite to HMX is discussed. 展开更多
