A CFD based numerical simulation of flow velocity of hydrocyclone was conducted with different structural and operational parameters to investigate its distribution characteristics and influencing mechanism. The results show there exist several unsymmetrical envelopes of equal vertical velocities in both upward inner flows and downward outer flows in the hydrocyclone, and the cone angle and apex diameter have remarkable influence on the vertical location of the cone bottom of the envelope of zero vertical velocity. It is also found that the tangential velocity isolines exist in the horizontal planes located in the effective separation region of hydrocyclone. The increase of feed pressure has almost no effect on the distribution characteristics of both vertical velocity and tangential velocity in hydrocyclone, but the magnitude and gradient of tangential velocity are increased obviously to make the motion velocity of high density particles to the wall increased and to make the cyclonic separation effect improved. 展开更多

In this article,based on the acoustic measurements of core samples obtained from the low to medium porosity and permeability reservoirs in the WXS Depression,the densities and P and S wave velocities of these core samples were obtained.Then based on these data,a series of elastic parameters were computed.From the basic theory and previous pore fluid research results,we derived a new fluid identification factor(F).Using the relative variations,Ag/w and Ao/w,of the elastic parameters between gas and water saturated samples and between oil and water saturated samples,λρ,σHSFIF,Kρ,λρ-2μρ,and F as quantitative indicators,we evaluate the sensitivity of the different fluid identification factors to identify reservoir fluids and validate the effects by crossplots.These confirm that the new fluid identification factor(F) is more sensitive for distinguishing oil and water than the traditional method and is more favorable for fliud identification in low to medium porosity and permeability reservoirs. 展开更多

A method for integer ambiguity resolution in the global positioning system (GPS) multi-reference station network real time kinematic (RTK) is proposed. First, the barycenter of the triangle of reference stations for ambiguity resolution is taken as a reference point. The satellite which has the largest elevation angle with the reference point is selected as a reference satellite. The parameters for constructing the weight matrix of carrier phase observation and the criteria for checking the correctness of integer ambiguity resolution of a network are obtained. Then, the wide ambiguity is calculated by a linear combination method of dualband observation. And the LI ambiguity is obtained by a nonionosphere combination method. The Kalman filter is introduced to refine the floating-point solution of ambiguity and estimate the real-time tropospheric delay. Finally, the cofactor matrix of ambiguity is de-correlated by Z-transformation to reduce the searching space of the integer ambiguity solution and improve the efficiency of the least-squares ambiguity decorrelation adjustment (LAMBDA) algorithm. The experimental results show that this method can reliably obtain the integer ambiguity solution among multi-reference stations with 40 epochs. 展开更多

The hot working behaviors of Mg-9Y-1MM-0.6Zr (WE91) magnesium alloy were researched in a temperature range of 653 773 K and strain rate range of 0.001 1 s 1 on Gleeble 1500D hot simulator under the maximum deformation degree of 60%. A mathematical model was established to predict the stress—strain curves of this alloy during deformation. The experimental results show that the relationship between stress and strain is obviously affected by the strain rates and deformation temperatures. The flow stress of WE91 magnesium alloy during high temperature deformation can be represented by Zener-Hollomon parameter in the hyperbolic Arrhenius-type equation, and the stress—strain curves obtained by the established model are in good agreement with the experimental results,which prove that the model reflects the real deformation characteristics of the WE91 alloy. The average deformation activation energy is 220 kJ/mol at strain of 0.1. The microstructures of WE91 during deformation processing are influenced by temperature and strain rates. 展开更多

In order to more accurately predict the contact fatigue life of rolling bearing, a prediction method of fatigue life of rolling bearing is proposed based on elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL), the 3-paameter Weibull distribution ad fatigue strength. First,the contact stress considering elliptical EHL is obtained by mapping film pressure onto the Hertz zone. Then,the basic strength model of rolling bearing based on the 3-parameter Weibull distribution is deduced by the series connection reliability theory. Considering the effect of the type of stress, variation of shape and fuctuation of load, the mathematical models of the 尸 -tS-TV curve of the minimum life and the characteristic life for rolling bearing are established, respectively, and thus the prediction model of fatigue life of rolling bearing based on the 3-paameter Weibull distribution and fatigue strength is further deduced. Finally, the contact fatigue life obtained by the proposed method ad the latest international standard (IS0281: 2007) about the fatigue life prediction of rolling bearing are compared with those obtained by the statistical method. Methods The micropore parameters were measured by WXT-88 mage analysis apparatus and the convective combustion characteristic of MPP was measured by a large volume closed bomb, respectively. Rasults Statistical physical model of burning in the micropore and granular burning were developed. The burning rate equation of steady-state convective combustion of MPP was obtained. Conclusions This model correlates the convective burning rate with micropores para- meters for the first time,and the calculating values of convective burning rate are in agreement with test results.The model also can be used to estimate the effects of microporous parame- ters, basic mass burning rate, MPP density and pressure in combustion chamber on the convective combustion characteristics of MPP. 展开更多

[Objective] The paper is to analyze physical quantities and radar parameter of hail shooting and heavy convective rainfall weather. [Method] Using radar data of Jinan station during 2002 and 2008, combined with sounding data, the physical quantities and radar parameter of hail shooting and heavy convective rainfall weather are compared and analyzed. [Result] The smaller Sl is conducive to the generation of hail weather. When K〉 35 ~C, the probability for occurrence of heavy rainfall weather is significantly increased; when K〈20 ^(3, the probability for occurrence of heavy rainfall weather is significantly decreased. When CAPE value is greater than 1 500 J/KG, the probability for occurrence of hail weather is significantly decreased, while the probability for occurrence of heavy rainfall weather is significantly in- creased. The possibility for occurrence of hail monomer is small when the wind shear is less than 5 m/s; and it is large while wind shear is greater than 20 m/s. The radar forecasting indexes of hail monomer is as follows: VIL value reaches 35 kg/m2 (May), 43 kg/m2 (June and July), the monomer height is greater than 9 km, the maximum reflectivity factor is larger than 60 dBz, strong center height reaches 3.3 km (May), 4.3 km (June) and 5.5 km (July); VlL value of heavy rainfall monomer generally is below 25 kg/m2. The performance over China of RegCM4-CLM with different conv... in the latest version of the international Centre for Theoretical Physics' regional climate model, RegCM4, CLM was introduced as a new land surface scheme. The performance over China of RegCM4-CLM with different convection schemes is analyzed in this study, based on a series of short- term experiments.The model is driven by ERA-Interim data at a grid spacing of 25 km.The convection schemes employed are: Emanuel; Grell; Emanuel over land and Grell over ocean; Grell over land and Emanuel over ocean; and Tiedtke. The simulated mean surface air temperature and precipitation in December-February-January and June-July-August are compared against observation. In general, better performance of Emanuel is found both for temperature and precipitation, and in both seasons. Thus, the model physics of CLM and Emanuel for the land surface processes and convection, respectively, are recommended for further application of RegCM4 over the China region. Inlet configuration is important parameter of hydrocyclones,which has great impact on the classification performance.The effects of inlet configuration on the precise classification were studied by computational fluid dynamics under variouscombinations of inlet diameter and inlet velocity.The results showed that a high sharpness of classification was achieved withspecific inlet diameter and inlet velocity.The separation efficiency of the coarse particles by underflow significantly decreased wheninlet had an oversize diameter owing to a stronger short-circuit flow.It is resulted from the chaotic flow and the stronger pressuregradient around the vortex finder.Meanwhile,a low separation efficiency of the fine particles by overflow was achieved when inletvelocity was high,which indicated a low sharpness caused by the overlarge centrifugal force. 展开更多

This study was conducted to investigate the flow field characteristics of right-angled flow passage with various cavities in the typical hydraulic manifold block.A low-speed visualization test rig was developed and the flow field of the right-angled flow passage with different cavity structures was measured using 2D-PIV technique.Numerical model was established to simulate the three-dimensional flow field.Seven eddy viscosity turbulence models were investigated in predicting the flow field by comparing against the particle image relocimetry(PIV)measurement results.By defining the weight error function K,the S-A model was selected as the appropriate turbulence model.Then,a three-factor,three-level response surface numerical test was conducted to investigate the influence of flow passage connection type,cavity diameter and cavity length-diameter ratio on pressure loss.The results show that the Box-Benhnken Design(BBD)model can predict the total pressure loss accurately.The optimal factor level appeared in flow passage connection type II,14.64 mm diameter and 67.53%cavity length-diameter ratio.The total pressure loss decreased by 11.15%relative to the worst factor level,and total pressure loss can be reduced by 64.75%when using an arc transition right-angled flow passage,which indicates a new direction for the optimization design of flow passage in hydraulic manifold blocks. 展开更多

This paper describes an analogue-based method for producing strong convection forecasts with conventional outputs from numerical models.The method takes advantage of the good performance of numerical models in predicting synoptic-scale weather situations.It calculates the convective parameters as predictors to detect the favorable-occurrence environment of strong convections.Times in the past when the forecast parameters are most similar to those forecast at the current time are identified by searching a large historical numerical dataset.The observed strong convection situations corresponding to those most similar times are then used to form strong convection forecasts for the current time.The method is applied as a postprocess of the NCEP Global Forecast System(GFS)model.The historical dataset in which the analogous situations are sought comprises two years of summer(June–September)GFS 6-to 48-h forecasts.The strong convection forecast is then generated every 6 h over most regions of China,provided the availability of strong convection observations.The results show that the method performs well in predicting strong convections in different regions of China.Through comparison with another postprocessing strong convection forecast method,it is shown that the convective-parameter threshold problem can be solved by employing the analogy method,which considers the local historical conditions of strong convection occurrence. 展开更多

Effects of working parameters on performance characteristics of hydrostatic turntable are researched by applying the fluid-structure-thermal coupled model.Fluid-structure interaction(FSI)technique and computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method are both employed by this new model,and thermal effects are also considered.Hydrostatic turntable systems with a series of oil supply pressures,various oil recess depth and several surface roughness parameters are studied.Performance parameters,such as turntable displacement,system flow rate,temperature rise of lubrication,stiffness and damping coefficients,are derived from different working parameters(rotational speed of turntable and exerted external load)of the hydrostatic turntable.Numerical results obtained from this FSI-thermal model are presented and discussed,and theoretical predictions are in good agreement with the experimental data.Therefore,this developed model is a very useful tool for studying hydrostatic turntables.The calculation results show that in order to obtain better performance,a rational selection of the design parameters is essential. 展开更多

Version 3.9 of WRF-ARW is run with a tropical belt configuration for a period from 2012 to 2016 in this study. The domain covers the entire tropics between 45°S and 45°N with a spatial resolution of about 45 km. In order to verify two radiation schemes and four cumulus convection schemes, eight experiments are performed with different combinations of physics parameterization schemes. The results show that eight experiments present reasonable spatial patterns of surface air temperature and precipitation in boreal summer, with the spatial correlation coefficient (COR) between simulated and observed temperature exceeding 0.95, and that between simulated and observed precipitation ranges from 0.65 to 0.82. The four experiments with the RRTMG radiation scheme show a better performance than the other four experiments with the CAM radiation scheme. In the four experiments with the RRTMG radiation scheme, the COR between simulated and observed surface air temperature is about 0.98, and that between simulated and observed precipitation ranges from 0.76 to 0.82. Comparatively, the two experiments using the new Tiedtke cumulus parameterization scheme can simulate better diurnal variation of precipitation in boreal summer than the other six experiments. In particular, for the diurnal cycle of precipitation over land and ocean, the experiment using the RRTMG radiation scheme and the new Tiedtke cumulus convection scheme shows that the peaks of precipitation rate appear at 0400 LST and 1600 LST, in agreement with observation. 展开更多

Multi-year experiments are conducted using the most recent version of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics regional climate model RegCM4(version 4.7) to customize its performance over Southeast Asia - a region with few RCMs applied to date. The model is driven by ERA-Interim reanalysis data at a grid spacing of 25 km using the CORDEX(Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment) Southeast Asia domain. The authors focus on comparing the convection schemes of Emanuel and Tiedtke(Tiedtke-1) and Tiedtke with effects of sea surface evaporation introduced(Tiedtke-2). The authors find that, for temperature over land, the model shows reasonable performance in reproducing the present-day climatology in both December–January–February(DJF) and June–July–August(JJA) in all the experiments. Meanwhile, cold biases prevail in both seasons, although portions of warm bias exist in DJF. For precipitation, the spatial pattern and amount, as well as seasonal evolution, are in general reproduced well in the experiments.Better performances of Tiedtke-1 and Tiedtke-2 are evident compared to Emanuel, particularly over ocean. Thereby, the optimal configuration of Reg CM4.7 for future climate change simulations over the region is identified as using the Tiedtke scheme with spray effects considered, along with the default settings for other physical parameterizations. 展开更多

When constructing block ramps,one can use the dissipative behaviour of large macroroughness elements randomly placed on the river bed to enhance fish migration in an upstream direction thus, in this sense, meeting the requirements of the EU Water Framework Directive. Block ramps are often designed and constructed to replace damaged drop hydraulic structures in the channels of mountain streams. This paper investigates the resilience of a particular block ramp placed in the Krzczonówka stream(Polish Carpathians) in terms of the engineering design function and its durability against damaging. A hydrodynamic analysis of a block ramp is presented before and after a flood event that changed the configuration of the blocks. The seminatural unstructured hydraulic structure was built on the Krzczonowka stream to protect gas pipes which are located beneath it. As a result of several floods, the boulder block chute described in this paper was damaged, and some boulders were dislodged and transported downstream. Our post-flood investigations of bathymetry and velocity revealed that even damaged boulder blocks, removed from the chute and displaced downstream of the structure, still provide significant energy dissipation of the flowing water. The novel of our paper is for the first time showing very detailed analysis of unstructured block ramp hydrodynamics parameters done in the field.Also the novel finding of our investigations shows that before and after the flood event the unstructured block ramp structure, is still fish friendly in terms of hydrodynamics. 展开更多
