Objective To observe the efficacy of deep learning(DL)model based on PET/CT and its combination with Cox proportional hazard model for predicting progressive disease(PD)of lung invasive adenocarcinoma within 5 years a...Objective To observe the efficacy of deep learning(DL)model based on PET/CT and its combination with Cox proportional hazard model for predicting progressive disease(PD)of lung invasive adenocarcinoma within 5 years after surgery.Methods The clinical,PET/CT and 5-year follow-up data of 250 patients with lung invasive adenocarcinoma were retrospectively analyzed.According to PD or not,the patients were divided into the PD group(n=71)and non-PD group(n=179).The basic data and PET/CT findings were compared between groups,among which the quantitative variables being significant different between groups were transformed to categorical variables using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and corresponding cut-off value.Multivariant Cox proportional hazard model was used to select independent predicting factors of PD of lung invasive adenocarcinoma within 5 years after surgery.The patients were divided into training,validation and test sets at the ratio of 6∶2∶2,and PET/CT data in training set and validation set were used to train model and tuning parameters to build the PET/CT DL model,and the combination model was built in serial connection of DL model and the predictive factors.In test set,the efficacy of each model for predicting PD of lung invasive adenocarcinoma within 5 years after surgery was assessed and compared using the area under the curve(AUC).Results Patients'gender and smoking status,as well as the long diameter,SUV max and SUV mean of lesions measured on PET images,the long diameter,short diameter and type of lesions showed on CT were statistically different between groups(all P<0.05).Smoking(HR=1.787[1.053,3.031],P=0.031)and lesion SUV max>4.15(HR=5.249[1.062,25.945],P=0.042)were both predictors of PD of lung invasive adenocarcinoma within 5 years after surgery.In test set,the AUC of PET/CT DL model for predicting PD was 0.847,of the combination model was 0.890,of the latter was higher than of the former(P=0.036).Conclusion DL model based on PET/CT had high efficacy for predicting PD of lung invasive adenocarcinoma within 5 years after surgery.Combining with Cox proportional hazard model could further improve its predicting efficacy.展开更多

A circuit model is proposed to estimate the total power consumption in an FED ...The power consumption and electric field distribution in a field emission display (FED) panel is optimized with a novel pixel structure. A circuit model is proposed to estimate the total power consumption in an FED panel which is composed of anode energy consumption, energy loss due to the leakage current and the energy dissipated in the parasitic capacitances. Moreover, the parasitic capacitances play a vital part in the power consumption and driving performance. In order to lower the parasitic capacitances, multiple dielectric layers are used as the gate electrode. Due to different etching speeds, a novel pixel structure is formed. As a result, the power consumption of an FED panel is reduced by 28% in a full white picture, and the electron beam performance is also better than that of the conventional structure.展开更多

From...The emission microscopy (EMMI) test is proposed as an effective method to control the polysilicon over-etching time of advanced CMOS processing combined with a novel test structure, named a poly-edge structure. From the values of the breakdown voltage (Vbd) of MOS capacitors (poly-edge structure) ,it was observed that,with for the initial polysilicon etching-time, almost all capacitors in one wafer failed under the initial failure model. With the increase of polysilicon over-etching time, the number of the initial failure capacitors decreased. Finally, no initial failure capacitors were observed after the polysilicon over-etching time was increased by 30s. The breakdown samples with the initial failure model and intrinsic failure model underwent EMMI tests. The EMMI test results show that the initial failure of capacitors with poly-edge structures was due to the bridging effect between the silicon substrate and the polysilicon gate caused by the residual polysilicon in the ditch between the shallow-trench isolation region and the active area, which will short the polysilicon gate with silicon substrate after the silicide process.展开更多

In the new approach, the projection data is partitioned into disjoint blocks; eachiteration step involves only one of these blocks. SAGE updates the parameters sequentially in eachblock. In experiments, the RBI-SAGE algorithm and classical SAGE algorithm are compared in theapplication on positron emission tomography (PET) image reconstruction. The histological structure of the ovary and follicular development process were observed by using optical microscope. And 30 primordial follicles, 30 primary follicles, 15 growing follicles, 15 vesicular follicle, 15 mature follicles and the oocytes in the follicles of different developing stages were measured and photographed by eyepiece micrometer and photomicrographic technique respectively. [Result] The ovary of blue fox consisted of germinal epithelium, tunica albuginea, cortex and medulla. The cor- tex, which was located at the periphery of the ovary, contained many interstitial cells and follicles at different developing stages. Medulla was located below the cortex, with a lot of blood vessels. The diameters of follicles at different developmental stages and oocytes had greater differences during the developmental period of follicle. The diameter of follicles was 45.45-974.55 μm and the diameter of oocytes was 30.23-147.27 μm. The zona pellucida appeared at the primary follicle stage. The atresia of follicles occurred at all the developmental stages of follicle and the main manifestations were the shrunk oocyte and karyon, and loose and degraded granular cells. [Conclusion] The research provided histological basis for revealing the reproductive mechanism of female blue fox.展开更多

The results showed that dyna...Flow behavior and microstructure of a homogenized ZK60 magnesium alloy were investigated during compression in the temperature range of 250-400 ℃ and the strain rate range of 0.1-50 s^-1. The results showed that dynamic recrystallization (DRX) developed mainly at grain boundaries at lower strain rate (0.1-1 s^-1), while in the case of higher strain rate (10-50 s^-1), DRX occurred extensively both at twins and grain boundaries at all temperature range, especially at temperature lower than 350 ℃, which resulted in a more homogeneous microstructure than that under other deformation conditions. The DRX extent determines the hot workability of the workpiece, therefore, hot deformation at the strain rate of 10-50 s^-1 and in the temperature range of 250-350 ℃ was desirable for ZK60 alloy. Twin induced DRX during high strain rate compression included three steps. Firstly, twins with high dislocation subdivided the initial grain, then dislocation arrays subdivided the twins into subgrains, and after that DRX took place with a further increase of strain.展开更多

The chip has a 64-step gray scale control using the PWM method and two-step voltage pre-charge technology to pre-charge the OLED pixels. It consists of a digital controller,SRAM for display data memory,a DC-DC voltage converter,reference current generators,a pre-charge voltage generator,64 common drivers, and 132 segment drivers. The single chip is a typical current-drive circuit. It has been implemented in a Chartered 0.35/μm 18V HV (DDD) CMOS process with a die area of 10mm× 2mm. Test results show that the power consumption of the whole chip and all pixels with a constant driving current of 100μA while displaying the highest gray scale is 294mW with a 12V high voltage supply and a 3V low voltage supply.展开更多

The early embryonic development in animals is primarily controlled by the maternal RNAs stored in egg. These mRNAs are being degraded as the development proceeds. In some animals, such as fish and amphibian, new transcripts do not appear until the midblastula stage (midblastula transition, MBT). In other animals, for example in mouse, the zygotic genes are expressed during very early stages of development. The mRNA programmed synthesis and degradation during embryonic development controls the cell differentiation, germlayer formation and pattern formation. Studies on the terrain characteristics of settlements can help to understand the effects of the environment on human activities. This paper provides a quantitative analysis of the relationship between settlements and topographical factors. A statistically significant sample of residential locations and ASTER GDEM V2 were used to investigate terrain traits and settlements distributions. We selected eight topographical factors and introduced a practical concept, distributive entropy, into assessing the aggregation extent of the settlements' spatial distribution. The study showed that topography varies within the study area, and distributive entropy indicates that settlements have distinctive distribution tendency in statistic approach. According to the results of this study, mountain inhabitants prefer to settle in valleys. Additionally, with distributive entropy, residential suitability was divided to three levels: suitable, normal, and unsuited. The results showed that suitable area is small in Sichuan Province, accounting for 8.2%~29.9%; however, unsuited area is large, accounting for 33%~63.3%.展开更多
AIM. To study the differential gene expression profiles of target cells in primary gastric cancer and its metastatic lymph nodes using laser microdissection (LMD) in combination with cDNA microarray. METHODS: Norma...AIM. To study the differential gene expression profiles of target cells in primary gastric cancer and its metastatic lymph nodes using laser microdissection (LMD) in combination with cDNA microarray. METHODS: Normal gastric tissue samples from 30 healthy individuals, 36 cancer tissue samples from primary gastric carcinoma and lymph node metastasis tissue samples from 58 patients during gastric cancer resection were obtained using LMD in combination with cDNA microarray independently. After P27-based amplification, aRNA from 36 of 58 patients (group 1) with lymph node metastasis and metastatic tissue specimens from the remaining 22 patients (group 2) were applied to cDNA microarray. Semiquantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and imrnunohistochemical assay verified the results of microarray in group 2 and further identified genes differentially expressed in the progression of gastric cancer. RESULTS: The expression of 10 genes was up-regulated while the expression of 15 genes was down-regulated in 22 gastric carcinoma samples compared with that of genes in the normal controls. The results were confirmed at the level of mRNA and protein, and suggested that four genes (OPCML, RNASE1, YES1 and ACK1) could play a key role in the tumorigenesis and metastasis of gastric cancer. The expression pattern of 3 genes (OPCML, RNASE1 and YES1) was similar to tumor suppressor genes. For example, the expression level of these genes was the highest in normal gastric epithelium, which was decreased in primary carcinoma, and further decreased in metastatic lymph nodes. On the contrary, the expression pattern of gene ACK1 was similar to that of oncogene. Four genes were further identified as differentially expressed genes in the majority of the cases in the progression of gastric cancer. CONCLUSION: LMD in combination with cDNA microaro ray provides a unique support foe the identification of early expression profiles of differential genes and the expression pattern of 3 genes (OPCML, RNASE1 and YES1) associated with the progression of gastric cancer. Further study is needed to reveal the molecular mechanism of lymph node metastasis in patients with gastric cancer.展开更多

METHODS: We reviewed retrospectively 101 consecutive patients with bilateral intrahepatic stones who und...AIM: To evaluate the shortand long-term outcomes of bilateral liver resection for bilateral intrahepatic stones. METHODS: We reviewed retrospectively 101 consecutive patients with bilateral intrahepatic stones who underwent bilateral liver resection in the past 10 years. The shortand long-term outcomes of the patients were analyzed. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to identify the risk factors related to stone recurrence. RESULTS: There was no surgical mortality in this group of patients. The surgical morbidity was 28.7%. Stone clearance rate after hepatectomy was 84.2% and final clearance rate was 95.0% following postoperative choledochoscopic lithotripsy. The stone recurrence rate was 7.9% and the occurrence of postoperative cholangitis was 6.5% in a median follow-up period of 54 mo. The Cox proportional hazards model indicated that liver resection range, less than the range of stone distribution (P = 0.015, OR = 2.152) was an independent risk factor linked to stone recurrence. CONCLUSION: Bilateral liver resection is safe and its shortand long-term outcomes are satisfactory for bilateral intrahepatic stones.展开更多

A low-power start-up circuit is also proposed to reduce the power consumption of the band-gap reference voltage generator. And the ring oscillator used in the ELVSS power circuit is designed with logic devices by supplying the logic power supply to reduce the layout area. Test results show that the power consumption of the whole chip and all pixels with a constant driving current of 100μA while displaying the highest gray scale is 294mW with a 12V high voltage supply and a 3V low voltage supply.

文摘On May 12, 2008, a magnitude 8.0 earthquake hit Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province resulted in great loss of life and properties.Besides, abundant landslides and slope failures were triggered in the most seriously hit areas and caused disastrous damages to infrastructures and public facilities.Moreover, abundant unstable slopes caused by the quake have the potential to cause damages for a considerable long period of time.The variety of these slopes and the corresponding treatments are connected with the topographical and geological conditions of the sites.It is decided to document and identify some of these major slope instabilities caused by the earthquake and their treatments.The paper shows the condition of a road in Dujiangyan through in situ explorations.The case history showed significant implications to the reconstruction of the quake-hit regions and future disaster prevention and management works.
文摘mRNA differential display was established by Liang and Pardee in 1992 for the purpose of displaying the mRNA differences between two tissues. The early embryonic development in animals is primarily controlled by the maternal RNAs stored in egg. These mRNAs are being degraded as the development proceeds. In some animals, such as fish and amphibian, new transcripts do not appear until the midblastula stage (midblastula transition, MBT). In other animals, for example in mouse, the zygotic genes are expressed during very early stages of development. The mRNA programmed synthesis and degradation during embryonic development controls the cell differentiation, germlayer formation and pattern formation. All these mRNA changes could be displayed side by side as cDNA band differences by mRNA differential display and the genes corresponding to these differential mRNAs could thus be obtained.

文摘Terrain can influence the spatial distribution of settlements. Studies on the terrain characteristics of settlements can help to understand the effects of the environment on human activities. This paper provides a quantitative analysis of the relationship between settlements and topographical factors. A statistically significant sample of residential locations and ASTER GDEM V2 were used to investigate terrain traits and settlements distributions. We selected eight topographical factors and introduced a practical concept, distributive entropy, into assessing the aggregation extent of the settlements' spatial distribution. The study showed that topography varies within the study area, and distributive entropy indicates that settlements have distinctive distribution tendency in statistic approach. According to the results of this study, mountain inhabitants prefer to settle in valleys. Additionally, with distributive entropy, residential suitability was divided to three levels: suitable, normal, and unsuited. The results showed that suitable area is small in Sichuan Province, accounting for 8.2%~29.9%; however, unsuited area is large, accounting for 33%~63.3%.

To study the differential gene expression profiles of target cells in primary gastric cancer and its metastatic lymph nodes using laser microdissection (LMD) in combination with cDNA microarray. METHODS: Normal gastric tissue samples from 30 healthy individuals, 36 cancer tissue samples from primary gastric carcinoma and lymph node metastasis tissue samples from 58 patients during gastric cancer resection were obtained using LMD in combination with cDNA microarray independently. After P27-based amplification, aRNA from 36 of 58 patients (group 1) with lymph node metastasis and metastatic tissue specimens from the remaining 22 patients (group 2) were applied to cDNA microarray. Semiquantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and imrnunohistochemical assay verified the results of microarray in group 2 and further identified genes differentially expressed in the progression of gastric cancer. RESULTS: The expression of 10 genes was up-regulated while the expression of 15 genes was down-regulated in 22 gastric carcinoma samples compared with that of genes in the normal controls. The results were confirmed at the level of mRNA and protein, and suggested that four genes (OPCML, RNASE1, YES1 and ACK1) could play a key role in the tumorigenesis and metastasis of gastric cancer. The expression pattern of 3 genes (OPCML, RNASE1 and YES1) was similar to tumor suppressor genes. For example, the expression level of these genes was the highest in normal gastric epithelium, which was decreased in primary carcinoma, and further decreased in metastatic lymph nodes. On the contrary, the expression pattern of gene ACK1 was similar to that of oncogene. Four genes were further identified as differentially expressed genes in the majority of the cases in the progression of gastric cancer. CONCLUSION: LMD in combination with cDNA microaro ray provides a unique support foe the identification of early expression profiles of differential genes and the expression pattern of 3 genes (OPCML, RNASE1 and YES1) associated with the progression of gastric cancer. Further study is needed to reveal the molecular mechanism of lymph node metastasis in patients with gastric cancer.
文摘AIM: To evaluate the shortand long-term outcomes of bilateral liver resection for bilateral intrahepatic stones. METHODS: We reviewed retrospectively 101 consecutive patients with bilateral intrahepatic stones who underwent bilateral liver resection in the past 10 years. The shortand long-term outcomes of the patients were analyzed. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to identify the risk factors related to stone recurrence. RESULTS: There was no surgical mortality in this group of patients. The surgical morbidity was 28.7%. Stone clearance rate after hepatectomy was 84.2% and final clearance rate was 95.0% following postoperative choledochoscopic lithotripsy. The stone recurrence rate was 7.9% and the occurrence of postoperative cholangitis was 6.5% in a median follow-up period of 54 mo. The Cox proportional hazards model indicated that liver resection range, less than the range of stone distribution (P = 0.015, OR = 2.152) was an independent risk factor linked to stone recurrence. CONCLUSION: Bilateral liver resection is safe and its shortand long-term outcomes are satisfactory for bilateral intrahepatic stones.
文摘A novel full color SOP(system on panel) AMOLED display based on the MIUC polycrystalline silicon TFT technique, and a new control circuit for the panel, which can deal with both VGA and DVI input signals have been developed. To realize gray-scale a sub-frame technique has been designed and im- plemented by FPGA device, in which an 120 module has been inserted. Through actual circuit, the whole design has been proven and the advantages of the SOP AMOLED display panel have been confirmed.

The comparison between their potential candidates for 3G cellular phone is given, and a detailed discussion is made on passive matrix organic electroluminescent display technology. A novel method to improve display contrast ratio is presented. Finally several 3G phone set prototypes with OLED display panels are given as well as the market forecast.
文摘A power management unit (PMU) chip supplying dual panel supply voltage, which has a low electro-magnetic interference (EMI) characteristic and is favorable for miniaturization, is designed. A two-phase charge pump circuit using external pumping capacitor increases its pumping current and works out the charge-loss problem by using bulk-potential biasing circuit. A low-power start-up circuit is also proposed to reduce the power consumption of the band-gap reference voltage generator. And the ring oscillator used in the ELVSS power circuit is designed with logic devices by supplying the logic power supply to reduce the layout area. The PMU chip is designed with MagnaChip's 0.25 μ high-voltage process. The driving currents of ELVDD and ELVSS are more than 50 mA when a SPICE simulation is done.
