为了提高内燃机能量利用率,自主研发了1台可用于有机朗肯循环余热回收系统的单气缸自由活塞膨胀机-直线发电机(FPE-LG)。在压缩空气试验平台上实现了FPE-LG的连续稳定运行,验证了单气缸FPE-LG工作原理的可行性。在大量试验基础上,分析... 为了提高内燃机能量利用率,自主研发了1台可用于有机朗肯循环余热回收系统的单气缸自由活塞膨胀机-直线发电机(FPE-LG)。在压缩空气试验平台上实现了FPE-LG的连续稳定运行,验证了单气缸FPE-LG工作原理的可行性。在大量试验基础上,分析了驱动压力、外接负载电阻对单气缸FPE-LG输出特性的影响机制。研究结果表明:FPE-LG输出功率呈现较为规律的正弦波动,对于该试验样机而言,当驱动压力为0. 6 MPa、外接负载电阻为50Ω时,峰值输出功率可达到58. 7 W;提高驱动压力可以明显提高均方根电压和峰值电流,但驱动压力的提高对FPE-LG自由活塞膨胀机膨胀功-直线发电机输出电能转换(简称功-电转换)效率影响很小;当外接负载电阻小于60Ω时,随着外接负载电阻的增大,FPE-LG的功-电转换效率从13. 4%上升到24. 7%;对于该FPE-LG而言,当外接负载电阻为60Ω时,单气缸FPE-LG的实际膨胀功最大,功-电转换效率最佳。 展开更多

文章以上海某垃圾焚烧发电厂为例,针对其在额定工况与变工况下的热力特性及其参数变化规律进行研究。研究结果表明:在额定工况下,该垃圾焚烧发电厂日处理垃圾6 000 t,其额定功率和发电效率分别为50 MW和28.49%;在变工况条件下,垃圾中的... 文章以上海某垃圾焚烧发电厂为例,针对其在额定工况与变工况下的热力特性及其参数变化规律进行研究。研究结果表明:在额定工况下,该垃圾焚烧发电厂日处理垃圾6 000 t,其额定功率和发电效率分别为50 MW和28.49%;在变工况条件下,垃圾中的C含量是影响垃圾焚烧发电热力参数的主要因素;11月垃圾的C含量(30.23%)最高,相应的系统总输出功高达61.45 MW,热效率为28.93%;8月垃圾的C含量(24.91%)最低,相应的系统总输出功(47.35 MW)也最低,热效率为28.66%;蒸汽流量的增加会提高主蒸汽压力,当主蒸汽压力达到7.9 MPa时,系统总输出功达到最大值54.97 MW,热效率为30.82%,当主蒸汽压力超过7.9 MPa时,系统总输出功与热效率开始下降;垃圾流量减少会导致发电系统的总输出功和热效率降低,当垃圾流量减小至额定工况的60%时,系统总输出功计算值与设计值的相对偏差可达到8.7%。 展开更多

The once-through steam generator (OTSG) in concentric annuli tube is a new type of steam generator which applies double side to transfer heat. The heat flux between the water of centric tube, outside annuli tube and that of annulus channel is assumed to be equal, and then the steam generator’s model is built by lumped parameters with moving boundary. In the basis of the built model, static and dynamic characteristics are analyzed. The static characteristics are proved by experiment results in a 19-tube once-through steam generator of Babcock & Wilcox. The characteristics that the lengths of three regions (subcooled region, nucleate boiling region, superheat region) change with power can be explained by theory analysis. The dynamic characteristics accord with the heat and hydraulics and the results of analysis according to the mechanism. 展开更多

In this paper, the design, construction and ocean testing of a wave energy conversion system are studied. Based on the motion characteristics of double buoys in ocean waves, a wave energy conversion system with permanent magnet tubular linear generator (PMTLG) is proposed to convert ocean wave energy into electricity. The wave energy conversion system was installed in the Yellow Sea near Lianyungang, China. The ocean test re- suits indicate that it had dynamic and static performance, and obtained an expected amount of electricity. The calcu- lation result indicates the average output power was about 1 000 W, and the conversion efficiency from wave en- ergy into electricity was 1.4%. In addition, the wireless data communication, mechanics and oceanography were also discussed. 展开更多

This paper describes the development of a timer based voltage to frequency converter(V FC).Timer LM555is used in astable multivibrator mode with two OPTO-LDRs(light dependent resistors)in the circuitry.The frequency of timer output waveform which is measured using a digital storage oscillator(DSO)is almost linearly proportional to the applied input voltage.Hence we obtain a linear relationship between the frequency of timer output waveform and the input voltage.Because of its quasi-digital output,the main advantages of this developed converter are linear input-output relationship,small size,easy portabilityand high cost performance.In addition,the timer output waveform can be directly interfaced with personal computer or microprocessor/microcontroller for further processing of the input voltage signal without intervening any analog-to-digital converter(ADC). 展开更多

The solar energy conversion system is very interesting alternative on supplement the electric system generation, due to the persistent cost reduction of the overall system and cleaner power generation. To obtain a stable voltage from an input supply (PV cells) that is higher and lower than the output, a high efficiency and minimum ripple DC-DC converter required in the system for residential power production. Buck-boost converters make it possible to efficiently convert a DC voltage to either a lower or higher voltages. Buck-boost converters are especially useful for PV maximum power tracking purposes, where the objective is to draw maximum possible power from solar panels at all times, regardless of the load. This paper analyzes and describes step by step the process of designing, and simulation of high efficiency low ripple voltage buck-boost DC-DC converter for the photovoltaic solar conversion system applicable to a (typical) single family home based on battery-based systems. The input voltage can typically change from (20 V) initially, down to (5 V), and provide a regulated voltage within the range of the battery (12 V). PLECS simulation results provide strong evidences about the high efficiency, minimum ripple voltage, high accuracy, and the usefulness of the system of the proposed converter when applied to either residential or solar home applications. 展开更多

Experimental Performance Assessment of Multi-Phase Alternators Supplying Multiple AC/DC Power Converters

DC distribution networks are often employed in isolated power systems like in marine and aeronautical applications. An interesting alternative to DC machines for the supply of DC grids is constituted by a three-phase alternator feeding an AC/DC rectifier. In this paper, alternative solutions are investigated where the AC alternator is equipped with more (iV) three-phase windings and feeds the DC load through more (N) cascade-connected rectifiers. The advantages of this solution with respect to the conventional three-phase topology are highlighted along with their dependence on the number (N) of the alternator windings. For this purpose, test results are reported and discussed on a prototype generator whose stator coils can be differently connected to obtained one, two, three or four windings. The major benefits (in terms of DC output current quality and field current ripple) are found when passing from the three-phase solution to the dual winding topology; conversely, relatively little advantage is gained by increasing the number of stator windings above two. 展开更多

PV (photovoltaic) solar panels generally produce electricity in the 6% to 12% efficiency range, the rest is being dissipated in thermal losses. To recover this amount, hybrid photovoltaic thermal systems (PV/T) have been devised. These are devices that simultaneously convert solar energy into electricity and heat. It is thus interesting to study the PV/T system as part of a closed loop single phase water CDU (coolant distribution unit) in laminar forced convection. In particular, the analysis was conducted on the optimal cooling performance of the thermal part, testing polynomial channel profiles of varying order (from zero to fourth) for channels of a real industrial module heat sink, under the following conditions: ideal flux of 1,000 W/m2 on one side, insulation on the opposite side, periodic conditions on the remaining sides, fully developed thermal and velocity profile in laminar flow of water. Through the use of a genetic algorithm, we have optimized the shape of the channel's sidewalls in terms of heat transfer maximization. In terms of Nusselt number, results show that fourth order profiles are the most efficient. When limits to allowable pressure loss and module weight are introduced, these bring generally to a lower efficiency of the system than the unconstrained case. 展开更多

This paper proposes a high performance double-interleaved dual boost (DIDB) technique to solve the problems of high ripple current, large inductor size and the requirement of step-up transformer in many case found in the conventional DC-DC boost converter. The 3-phase grid connected converter with decoupling control give an independent control between active and reactive power using the load current feed-forward. With this technique, the disturbance rejection and the output power quality can be improved. Experiments are conducted with three case studies: 1) a test of the DIDB converter to determine current ripple and voltage gain, 2) a test of the 3-phase grid connected converter to determine DC-link voltage regulation, power factor and total harmonic distortion (THD), and 3) a test of the overall system with a 7.5 kW wind turbine simulator by step and various input wind speeds to determine the output power at the grid side and verify the maximum peak power tracking (MPPT) performance. The results can confirm that the DIDB converter gives lower ripple current and higher voltage gain than the conventional converter. For the grid side, the 3-phase grid connected converter can regulate the DC-link with fast dynamic response to disturbance rejection and low overshoot while complying with the THD standard defined in IEEE 519-1992. In addition, the MPPT controller is able to achieve the maximum energy capture with the various input wind speeds. 展开更多
