China's low-carbon transition must include industry structure adjustment, energy saving and efficiency increases, energy structure improvement, carbon sink development, adaptation capability, and low-carbon pilot schemes.Low-carbon urbanization is a key measure in China's low-carbon transition. China's urbanization faces high-carbon risks. Thus, this study presents a roadmap for transforming urbanization into a low-carbon one. The transition to low-carbon urbanization is a common trend in the developing world. There is a lot of room for international cooperation.展开更多

Sustainability of economic development and the provision capability of resources and environment are two aspects of sustainable development. The former ones are the foundation of the latter ones. Industrial structure has a close relationship with sustainable development. The optimization of industrial structure is the important base for the sustainable development of modern economy and also the important ways of the sustainable utilization of resources and environment. The intensive growth effect of industrial structure change has the meaning of sustainable development. This paper reviews and explains the theory on the contribution of industrial structure change to sustainable development, builds the calculation model through introducing the coeff icient of industrial structure change, makes an empirical study on the contribution of industrial structure change to sustainable development in Fujian, and puts forward ways and policies of optimizing industrial structure both among industries and inside the industry in the process of industrial structure change.展开更多

This study conducts a qualitative review on the changes through adopting business ecosystem approaches. An analytical framework is estab- lished for reviewing the structure of mobile Internet business ecosystem. Then the core value, key actors, and inter-firm relationships of the mobile Internet ecosystem in the past and in the present are compared. It is found that the ecosystem structure has shifted from an MNO-centric model to a polycentric one with highly expanded value sources and di- versified keystone players. Accordingly some suggestions for regulatory policy makers are provided in terms of the roles of mobile Inter- net in social welfare improvement, the call for a convergent regulatory system, and chal- lenges for information security regulation.展开更多

The industrial structure upgrading and wage rise should have kept down the trend of comparative advantage and surplus growth, but unfortunately in vain. This paper presents a theoretical framework, which is explaining the reason from SBTC induced along by FDI. In the short run, taking some outsourcing linkage home will increase the skill demand, while in the long term, skill supply will increase since the wage rise will incentive the edge skill labour, and therefore, the skill premium increase will be suppressed, comparative advantage and trade surplus sustained.展开更多

Simultaneously water and air temperatures increase more than elsewhere in Europe and globally, which cannot be explained with "global warming". The climatic change issue would be better understood if this extraordinary regional warming is sufficiently explained. The regional features are unique for in-depth studies due to different summer-winter conditions, shallowness of the seas, geographical structure, and main pathway for maritime weather patterns moving eastwards. The impact of sea activities on the seasonal sea water profile structure is contributing to stronger regional warming, change in growing season, and less severe sea ice conditions. The impact of the man, whether small or large, should be understood very soon and very thoroughly.展开更多

We apply annual unemployment rates covering 1985-2008 periods. We test whether unemployment rates are stationary by using second generation tests which allow cross section dependency among series and panel unit root test based on structural break advanced by Carrion-i-Silvestre, Barrio-Castro and Lopez-Bazo (2005). We find series as a stationary process with structural breaks according to Carrion-i Silvestre et al. (2005) test, while we find series as unit root process with second generation panel unit root test. According to the Carrion-i Silvestre et al. (2005) test, we find the evidence of absence of hysteresis in analyzed countries. As a result, temporary shocks have temporary effects on unemployment instead of permanent effect. Structural factors can affect the natural rate of unemployment and, therefore, unemployment would be stationary around a process that is subject to structural breaks. So, there still exists a unique natural rate of unemployment to which the economy eventually will converge.展开更多

Its central goal was to obtain a better understanding of the structural changes in the organization and identify its working practices through both case and bibliographic studies, taking into consideration the technological advances and the new management being implemented in the company, due to its acquisition by a multinational company. The proposal of a new organizational structure which has brought inevitable changes to the organizations but the structure needs to be well defined to lead to the company under study and its employees the best way, through continuous improvement and competitive entrepreneurship. The results obtained enable a better understanding of the history and nature of changes in the organization, considering it as a living and changing system.展开更多
