Regarding discharging from a container as a thermodynamic process with invariable index the dependence of the container’s volume on the pressure in the container and the index, during discharging at the velocity of sound, is deduced. Then through a lot of experiments, the value of index n of the process is found with a given precision and a specified volume range. Furthermore, the feasibility and practicability of this method are verified by experiments.展开更多
To improve the harmonic suppression ability of multi-pulse rectifier,a 12-pulse rectifier based on zigzag autotransformer by DC side active compensation strategy is proposed.By controlling the small capacity current i...To improve the harmonic suppression ability of multi-pulse rectifier,a 12-pulse rectifier based on zigzag autotransformer by DC side active compensation strategy is proposed.By controlling the small capacity current inverter to generate compensating currents and injecting the currents directly into the DC side of the system,the grid-side currents of the rectifier can be approximated to sine wave.Using zigzag autotransformer as phase-shifting transformer can block the zero sequence current components and reduce the equivalent capacity of the rectifying system.The study on harmonic distortion rate of grid-side currents with the variation of the load shows that the harmonic content of the compensated rectifier decreases significantly under various load conditions.The harmonic content of the grid-side currents of the proposed active injection rectifier is only 1.17%,and the equivalent capacity of the rectifier is calculated.The results show that the rectifier can not only suppress the harmonic currents,but also have a lower equivalent capacity.展开更多

A novel configuration of a MOS varactor is designed for good linearity of K as well as a new digital capacitor controlled array topology with lower parasitic capacitance and lower Ron. Measurement results show a phase noise of - 90.4dBc/Hz at 100kHz offset and - 116.7dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset from a carrier close to 4. 224GHz. The power dissipation is 10. 55mW from a 1.8V supply.展开更多

These three curves are termed as envelope curve, common point curv...Laboratory tests revealed that the behavior of brick masonry under compressive cyclic loading is characterized by three distinct stress-strain curves. These three curves are termed as envelope curve, common point curve and stability point curve. The envelope curve is obtained by superimposing the cyclic peaks on the monotonic stress-strain curve. The common point curve is the locus of intersection points of loading and unloading curves of the cycles. If for the same cycle, the loading and unloading are repeated several times, the intersection points of loading and unloading paths will stabilize at a lower bound. The locus of these stabilized points (lower bound points) of all cycles form the stability point curve. Therefore, the stability point curve can be used as a measure for the allowable stress for masonry under cyclic loadings. The proposed cyclic allowable stress level is associated with the accumulation of residual (plastic) strain levels as a result of cyclic loading history. The permissible stress level was found to be about two thirds of the cyclic peak stress of the specimen.展开更多
Due to the decrease in the number of switches for the four-switch three-phase alternating current-direct current(FSTP AC-DC)converter,it can easily lead to DC-link capacitor voltage imbalance and the system stability ...Due to the decrease in the number of switches for the four-switch three-phase alternating current-direct current(FSTP AC-DC)converter,it can easily lead to DC-link capacitor voltage imbalance and the system stability reduction.In order to solve these problems,a finite control set model predictive control(FCS-MPC)for FSTP AC-DC converters with DC-link capacitor voltage balancing is proposed.In this strategy,in order to facilitate calculation,theαβcoordinate system model is established and all voltage vectors are evaluated by establishing a cost function.During the whole process,phase locked loop(PLL)and complex modulation strategy are not required.In the new established cost function,the additional objective term of suppressing capacitor voltage fluctuation is to eliminate effectively the capacitor voltages oscillations and deviations and improve the system reliability.The simulation results show that the proposed strategy can keep the capacitor voltage balancing and has good dynamic and static performance.展开更多
