In this paper, with the non-salient pole permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM)being cited, by using Fourier transform method and "slot-by-slot", "pole -by-pole" current approach, a 3D electromagnetic field model of PMLSM is established. Special attention is paid to its structure and the influence of longitudinal and transverse end effect. The distribution of electromagnetic field of PMLSM can be obtained directly and promptly by using FFT algorithm. It can also be used for the analysis of other LSM. 展开更多

One function for approximating pulse quantities in high voltage technique is presented in this paper. The function derivative, its integral, as well as its Laplace and Fourier transform are obtained analytically. Integral transformations of the pulse function are needed in frequency domain calculations of lightning induced effects in the case of a lossy ground. The pulse function having adequately chosen parameters is applied in lightning discharge modeling for lightning electromagnetic field calculation, and the results are in agreement with the results from literature. The choice of function parameters is based on their influence on the pulse waveshape which is presented in the paper. Numerical results for the Fourier transform are presented for different usually used pulse functions. The advantages of this function are simple choice of its parameters according to the desired waveshape characteristics and analytical solutions useful in lightning discharge modeling, electromagnetic field computation and induced effects calculations. 展开更多

We present a novel method for designing transformation optical devices based on electrostatics.An arbi-trary transformation of electrostatic field can lead to a new refractive index distribution,where wave-fronts and energy flux lines correspond to equipotential surfaces and electrostatic flux lines,respectively.Owing to scalar wave propagating exactly following an eikonal equation,wave optics and geometric optics share the same solutions in the devices.The method is utilized to design multipole lenses derived from multipoles in electrostatics.The source and drain in optics are considered as corre-sponding to positive charge and negative charge in the static field.By defining winding numbers in vir-tual and physical spaces,we explain the reason for some multipole lenses with illusion effects.Besides,we introduce an equipotential absorber to replace the drain to correspond to a negative charge with a grounded conductor.Therefore,it is a very general platform to design intriguing devices based on the combination of electrostatics and transformation optics. 展开更多
