In order to improve the data throughput of the advanced encryption standard (AES) IP core while reducing the hardware resource consumption and finally achieving a tradeoff between speed and area, a mixed pipeline architecture and reconfigurable technology for the design and implementation of the AES IP core is proposed. The encryption and decryption processes of the AES algorithm are achieved in the same process within the mixed pipeline structure. According to the finite field characterizations, the Sbox in the AES algorithm is optimized. ShiftRow and MixColumn, which are the main components in AES round transformation, are optimized with the reconfigurable technology. The design is implemented on the Xilinx Virtex2p xc2vp20-7 field programmable gate array (FPGA) device. It can achieve a data throughput above 2.58 Gbit/s, and it only requires 3 233 slices. Compared with other related designs of AES IP cores on the same device, the proposed design can achieve a tradeoff between speed and area, and obtain satisfactory results in both data throughput and hardware resource consumption. 展开更多

By analyzing the optical spectra and electron paramagnetic resonance parameter D, the local structure distortion of (NiF6)4- clusters in AMF3 (A=K, Rb; M=Zn, Cd, Ca) and K2ZnF4 series are studied using the complete energy matrix based on the double spin-orbit coupling parameter model for configuration ions in a tetragonal ligand field. The results indicate that the contribution of ligand to spin-orbit coupling interaction should be considered for our studied systems. Moreover, the relationships between D and the spin-obit coupling coefficients as well as the average parameter and the divergent parameter are discussed. 展开更多

Land, as a key factor of production, is an appropriate indicator of national and regional economic structure transformation. Land use in the Changjiang (Yangtze) River Basin (CRB) since the 1950s has experienced these changes. Industrialization has been the most powerful force of the change in the regional development of the CRB. Virtually all regional resources were put into this effort to modernize the industrial production and urban construction systems of the CRB whose industrialization and urbanization has been a success story, with impressive structural change in both production and land use. These changes are evident ih modem urban areas, but even more in traditionally rural areas. The regression analysis of regional development in the CRB over an extended period shows that the dominant factor in regional land use change is widespread industrialization in rural areas rather than the expansion of urban area. Thus, urbanization has had a limited influence on land use change in the CRB. A major task in realizing more sustainable land use in the future development of CRB is to relocate industrial activities from rural to urban areas. 展开更多

Dongsha Island and the adjacent sea area locate at the northern continental margin of the South China Sea (SCS), and is connected to the east by the Manila Trench. Analyses of seismic stratigraphy and gravity, magnetic and drilling wells data led to the discovery of three post fault sequences (V, VI, VII). Extensive tectonic uplift, magma activity and erosion occurred in Dongsha Island and the adjacent area, where most of the faults in the northeastern SCS were still active during Pliocene and Quaternary. Two groups of faults trending NEE and NW were developed during Late Cenozoic. We conclude that three important tectonic movements, especially Dongsha movement (4.4-5.2 Ma) and Liuhua movement (1.4-1.89 Ma), controlled the structural framework in the Dongsha rise; whose deformation in the east is stronger than that in the west and whose stress field variation suggests that the tectonic uplift in the study area contributed to magmato tectonic events correlated to the main collision phases between the East China and Taiwan 5-3 and 3-0 Ma ago. 展开更多

Structural characteristics of the Jurassic basins of Xining, Minhe, and Xiji in the east of middle Qilian were researched based on the data obtained by gravitational, magnetic, and seismic methods. The result shows that each of these three basins is an independent structural unit with a NW strike and being separated by upheavals. Two groups of faults with NW and NE directions are developed in the basin, which controls the formation and evolution of the (Jurassic basins). The NW faults are the main ones while the NE faults are the secondary for controlling the sedimentation. Of the three basins, the Minhe basin is the favorable prospecting area. 展开更多

Filtration seems to induce the formation of aqueous nanostructures. The aim of this work was to verify the influence of filtration processes on water structure detected by spectral variations in NIR region. Samples of ultrapure water (MilliQ-Millipore, Vimodrone, Milan, Italy) before and after iterated filtrations were analyzed. NIR spectra were collected in transmission mode in the whole NIR range, by using NIRFIex N500 spectrometer at constant temperature (40 ± 1 ℃). NIR data were processed using Unscrambler software v. 9.2 in evaluating qualitative differences between filtered and not filtered samples. The information related to possible solvent physical stresses were highlighted in the range 6500-7500 cm^-1. The shifts observed were ascribable to a different distribution of the number of water molecules involved in hydrogen bonds in filtered and not filtered water samples, at constant temperature. NIR spectroscopy, commonly used to study relationship between spectral changes and hydrogen bonds in water at increasing temperature values, was applied to evaluate effects of filtration processes on water structure. The obtained results are in agreement with literature data and allowed the improvement of the knowledge about pure water characteristics when some mechanical perturbations are applied. 展开更多

The results show that the first-order crustal deformation is unchanged in different periods in the Chinese mainland,which reflects the background of regional tectonic activity. The strain rate is much higher in Western China,especially in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and Sichuan-Yunnan area. The variations in different periods are related with seismicity of strong earthquakes during the same time. The GPS data after 2004 shows the post-seismic deformation of the 2001 Kunlun Mountains M S8. 1 earthquake. 展开更多

This kinase provides two pock- ets for developing Plkl inhibitors: the N-terminal catalytic domain (NCD) and the polo-box domain (PBD). For both of the two pockets, some natural products were identified as Plkl inhibitors and some synthetic Plkl inhibitors were developed by mimicking ATP and phosphopeptides, natural products binding to NCD and PBD respectively. This article not only reviews the progression of Plkl inhibitors binding to these two pockets, but also discusses diversity evolution and jump in the process of drug development using Plkl inhibitors as examples and how they impact on drug design and pharmacopbore modeling. 展开更多

The collision orogenesis of the studied region has been divided into three developing periods of initial, chief and late orogeny. Based on the data from Wugong Mts., Jiuling Mts. and Xuefeng Mts.,for each stage, its variation of stress and strain axes, the conversion of joint fractures and their relative tectonic evolution are described, models are plotted and corresponding explanations are made for the rock chronology dating value in the same tectonic period. 展开更多

Soybean was domesticated in China and has become one of the most important oilseed crops. Due to bottlenecks in their introduction and dissemination, soybeans from different geographic areas exhibit extensive genetic diversity. Asia is the largest soybean market; therefore, a high-quality soybean reference genome from this area is critical for soybean research and breeding.Here, we report the de novo assembly and sequence analysis of a Chinese soybean genome for "Zhonghuang 13" by a combination of SMRT, Hi-C and optical mapping data. The assembled genome size is 1.025 Gb with a contig N50 of 3.46 Mb and a scaffold N50 of 51.87 Mb. Comparisons between this genome and the previously reported reference genome(cv. Williams82) uncovered more than 250,000 structure variations. A total of 52,051 protein coding genes and 36,429 transposable elements were annotated for this genome, and a gene co-expression network including 39,967 genes was also established. This high quality Chinese soybean genome and its sequence analysis will provide valuable information for soybean improvement in the future. 展开更多

Tumor suppressor p53 is the most frequently mutated gene in human tumors. Meanwhile, under stress conditions, p53 also acts as a transcription factor, regulating the expression of a series of target genes to maintain the integrity of genome. The target genes of p53 can be classified into genes regulating cell cycle arrest, genes involved in apoptosis, and genes inhibiting angiogenesis, p53 protein contains a transactivation domain, a sequence-specific DNA binding domain, a tetramerization domain, a non-specific DNA binding domain that recognizes damaged DNA, and a later identified proline-rich domain. Under stress, p53 proteins accumulate and are activated through two mechanisms. One, involving ataxia telangiectasia-mutated protein (ATM), is that the interaction between p53 and its down-regulation factor murine double minute 2 (MDM2) decreases, leading to p53 phosphorylation on Serl 5, as determined by the post-translational mechanism; the other holds that p53 increases and is activated through the binding of ribosomal protein L26 (RPL26) or nucleolin to p53 mRNA 5' untranslated region (UTR), regulating p53 translation. Under hypoxia, p53 decreases transactivation and increases transrepression. The mutations outside the DNA binding domain of p53 also contribute to tumor progress, so further studies on p53 should also be focused on this direction. The subter- ranean blind mole rat Spalax in Israel is a good model for hypoxia-adaptation. The p53 of Spalax mutated in residue 172 and residue 207 from arginine to lysine, conferring it the ability to survive hypoxic conditions. This model indicates that p53 acts as a master gene of diversity formation during evolution. 展开更多

Kynurenine aminotransferases (KATs) catalyze the transamination of kynurenine (KYN) pathway and endogenous KYNs have been suggested to highly correlate to abnormal brain diseases. HKAT3 is a key member of KAT family, while the binding mechanism of KYN and cofactor with HKAT3 has not been determined yet. In this study, we focus on the structure-function relationship among KYN, cofactor and HKAT3. The binding models of KYN complex and KYN&cofactor complex were ob- tained and were studied by molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. We identified several critical residues and influence of conformational changes in human kynurenine aminotransferase 3 (HKAT3) complexes. The cofactor may contribute largely not only to the catalysis, but also to the binding. In addition, a hypothesis is proposed that a strong hydrophobic interaction between Tyr159 and Lys280 may influence the binding mode and the binding region of the substrate and the cofactor. Our re- suits will be a good starting point for further determination of the biological role. 展开更多
