The optimization method of excited capacitors to minimize the reactive power of the control winding at a variable speed is given. The calculation capacity of the machine with a diode bridge rectifier load is proposed. To achieve global searching, the integrated method with the improved real-coded genetic algorithm and the twodimensional finite element method (FEM) is introduced. Design results of the sample show that reactive power can be reduced by the method, and the converter capacity can be decreased to 1/3 of output rated power at the speed ratio of 1 : 3, thus reducing the volume and the mass of the inverter.展开更多

Compared with common three-phase bridge inverters, the proposed inverter works under more complicated conditions with different principles for special winding back EMFs, position signals of hall sensors, and the given mode of switches. The ideal steady driving principles of the inverter for the motor are given. The working state with asymmetric winding back EMFs, inaccurate position signals of hall sensors, and the changing input voltage is analyzed. Based on the importance of magnetorheological damper modeling, non- parametric modeling with neural network, which is a promising development in semi-active online control of vehicles with MR suspension, has been carried out in this study. A two layer neural network with 7 neurons in a hidden layer and 3 inputs and 1 output was established to simulate the behavior of MR damper at different excitation currents. In the neural network modeling, the damping force is a function of displacement, velocity and the applied current. A MR damper for vehicles is fabricated and tested by MTS; the data acquired are utilized for neural network training and vali- dation. The application and validation show that the predicted forces of the neural network match well with the forces tested with a small variance, which demonstrates the effectiveness and precision of neural network modeling.展开更多

MC is applied instead of conventional AC DC AC converter to increase the power factor (PF) of the system input side. MPTC is used to select optimal voltage space vector to enable the system to have satisfactory torque and flux control effect. The resultant MPTC strategy not only makes the MC fed PMSM system operate reliably and have perfect control performance, but also makes the PF of the system input side be 1. Compared with direct torque control (DTC), the proposed MPTC strategy guarantees that MC fed PMSM has better command following characteristics in the presence of variation of load torque and tracking reference speed. In our experiment, we used a coincident-loop and central loop type of configuration, where the coil plane l) vertical to and 2) parallel to the working face. A SIROTEM instrument at different locations was used to observe the transient electromagnetic responses of the excavator and to analyze the response amplitudes. The result shows that the tunneling machine affects the advanced detection data and is related to the way the coil is coupled. In the proposed sliding mode controller, a semi-active suspension based on the skyhook damper system is chosen as the reference model to be followed, and the control law is so determined that the asymptotically stable error dynamics occurs between the controlled state and the reference model state. Numerical simulations are carried out to study the performance of the new sliding mode controller. The results show that the proposed controller yields almost perfect tracking to the reference model and has a high robustness against model parameter uncertainties and disturbances.展开更多

To this end, a current vector decoupling control algorithm for six-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is designed. Using the proposed synchronous rotating coordinate transformation matrix, the fundamental and harmonic components in d-q subspace are changed into direct current (DC) component, only using the traditional proportional integral (PI) controller can meet the non-static difference adjustment, and the controller parameter design method is given by employing intemal model principle. In addition, in order to remove the 5th and 7th harmonic components of stator current, the current PI controller parallel with resonant controller is employed in x-y subspace to realize the specific harmonic component compensation. According to performance analysis of a three-phase grid-connected inverter mathematical model of a directly-driven wind turbine with a permanent magnet synchronous generator (D-PMSG) under unbalanced network voltage c...According to performance analysis of a three-phase grid-connected inverter mathematical model of a directly-driven wind turbine with a permanent magnet synchronous generator (D-PMSG) under unbalanced network voltage conditions, a dual current-loop control strategy (DCC) oriented on positive voltage and negative current is proposed to inhibit the DC voltage fluctuation. Meanwhile, a notch filter is introduced into the conventional control strategy of a phase-locked loop to complete the low voltage ride through (LVRT) ability of the wind generator. A 1.5-MW D-PMSG with a back-to-back IGBT frequency converter was simulated in the PSCAD/EMTDC environment, and simulation results showed that: the maximum wind power tracking was achieved in this system and the proposed DCC strategy could successfully inhibit the rising aging of DC voltage and enhance the ride-through capability of D-PMSG wind generation system under unbalanced network voltage conditions.展开更多
