[Method] Paraffin section technique combined with field investigation method were adopted to conduct com- parative analysis of shoot histomorphology and phenological phases between two Io- quat varieties, 'Chuanzao Loquat' and 'Zaozhong 6'. [Result] 'Chuanzao Loquat' branched out and unfolded leaves about half to a month earlier than 'Zaozhong 6'; both the flowering and fruiting phases of 'Chuanzao Loquat' were three months earlier than a precocious variety, 'Zaozhong 6'; the proportions of epidermis, cortex parenchyma, vascular tissue and medulla were 3.7%, 14.5%, 15.9% and 65.9%, re- spectively, in spdng shoots of 'Chuanzao Loquat', and 3.1%, 42.5%, 6.9% and 47.5%, respectively, in 'Zaozhong 6'. [Conclusion] In terms of phenological phases, 'Chuanzao Loqua' is earlier than 'Zaozhong 6', a currently widely planted precocious variety, and thus is an important germplasm resource of Ioquats.展开更多

The transformer needs no special manufacture method to limit the leakage inductance. The ZVS achievement and the design considerations for the output filter inductances and the blocking capacitor are discussed for the improved CDR ZVS PWM FB converter. According t...In order to de-noise and filter the acoustic emission(AE) signal, the adaptive filtering technology is applied to AE signal processing in view of the special attenuation characteristics of burst AE signal. According to the contradiction between the convergence speed and steady-state error of the traditional least mean square(LMS) adaptive filter, an improved LMS adaptive filtering algorithm with variable iteration step is proposed on the basis of the existing algorithms. Based on the Sigmoid function, an expression with three parameters is constructed by function translation and symmetric transformation.As for the error mutation, e(k) and e(k-1) are combined to control the change of the iteration step. The selection and adjustment process of each parameter is described in detail, and the MSE is used to evaluate the performance. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly increases the convergence speed, reduces the steady-state error, and improves the performance of the adaptive filter. The improved algorithm is applied to the AE signal processing, and the experimental signal is demodulated by an empirical mode decomposition(EMD) envelope to obtain the upper and lower envelopes. Then, the expected function related to the AE signal is established. Finally, the improved algorithm is substituted into the adaptive filter to filter the AE signal. A good result is achieved, which proves the feasibility of adaptive filtering technology in AE signal processing.展开更多

Sequential treatment of anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) is commonly used for lamivudine resistance. We report 4 cases of patients with rapid redetection of HBV mutants during the lamivudine retreatment. The four patients received lamivudine as an initial treatment of HBV and adefovir and lamivudine as a rescue therapy consecutively. HBV-DNA level, YMDD mutations and adefovir -resistant mutations (RFMP) were tested every 3 mo during the sequential treatment. All the patients showed YMDD mutations during the initial lamivudine therapy. After adefovir therapy for lamivudine resistance, they showed viral breakthrough. Adefovir was switched to lamivudine, however, it did not induce viral suppression at all, rather increased HBV-DNA with rapid reemergence of the YMDD mutations. All the patients had ALT flares, and hepatic decompensation occurred in two patients. After switching to adefovir combined with entecavir or lamivudine for a rescue therapy, the patients had reduction in HBV-DNA and ALT improvement. These cases demonstrated that lamivudine retreatment of patients with preexposed lamivudine resistance leads to rapid reemergence of YMDD mutation with significant viral rebounds and subsequent hepatic decompensation. Sequential administration of lamivudine in patients with a prior history of YMDD mutation should be abandoned.展开更多

AIM:To explore the feasibility of dual camera capsule (DCC)small-bowel(SB)imaging and to examine if two cameras complement each other to detect more SB lesions.METHODS:Forty-one eligible,consecutive patients underwent...AIM:To explore the feasibility of dual camera capsule (DCC)small-bowel(SB)imaging and to examine if two cameras complement each other to detect more SB lesions.METHODS:Forty-one eligible,consecutive patients underwent DCC SB imaging.Two experienced investigators examined the videos and compared the total number of detected lesions to the number of lesions detected by each camera separately.Examination tolerability was assessed using a questionnaire.RESULTS:One patient was excluded.DCC cameras detected 68 positive findings(POS)in 20(50%)cases.Fifty of them were detected by the"yellow"camera,48 by the"green"and 28 by both cameras;44%(n=22)of the"yellow"camera’s POS were not detected by the"green"camera and 42%(n=20)of the"green" camera’s POS were not detected by the"yellow"camera.In two cases,only one camera detected significant findings.All participants had 216 findings of unknown significance(FUS).The"yellow","green"and both cameras detected 171,161,and 116 FUS,respectively;32%(n=55)of the"yellow"camera’s FUS were not detected by the"green"camera and 28%(n=45)of the"green"camera’s FUS were not detected by the "yellow"camera.There were no complications related to the examination,and 97.6%of the patients would repeat the examination,if necessary.CONCLUSION:DCC SB examination is feasible and well tolerated.The two cameras complement each other to detect more SB lesions.展开更多
Land change science (LCS) strives to understand and model land-use change, which will further advance the understanding of multiple issues in the socio-ecological systems. Based on GIS/RS techniques, autologistic mo...Land change science (LCS) strives to understand and model land-use change, which will further advance the understanding of multiple issues in the socio-ecological systems. Based on GIS/RS techniques, autologistic model, and household survey method, this study investigated major land use changes and their causes from 1978 to 2008 in Uxin Banner (county-level), Inner Mongolia in China and then developed an understanding of the relationships between household livelihood and land-use pattern. Results showed that cultivated land increased from 1988 to 2000, and leveled offafter 2000. Built-up land increased stably for the period 1978 2008. The change of grassland and bare land differed among the three periods. From 1978 to 1988, grassland increased by 23.3%, and bare land decreased by 20.48%. From 1988 to 2000, bare land expanded by 1.7%, but grassland declined by 1.3%. From 2000 to 2008, an increase in grassland area by 1.8% was observed, but a decrease in bare land area by 9.0% was witnessed. The autologistic models performed better than logistic models as indicated by lower Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) values. Factors associated with human activities significantly correlated with the change of cultivated land, forest land, grassland, and built-up land. The produce prices and extensive cultivated land use are major issues in the farming area. This study suggests that completing land circulation systems and maintaining the stability of price are effective solutions. By contrast, reclamation and overgrazing are major concerns in the pastoral areas. Implementing environmental policies effectively, transferring population out of rural pastoral areas, and developing modem animal husbandry are effective ways to address these issues.展开更多

Simple discourses containing three sentences were constructed and the boundary between the first sentence and the second sentence of each discourse varied along the following parameters: (1) topic internal, clause; (2) topic shift, clause; (3) topic internal, sentence; and (4) topic shift, sentence. Seven native speakers of Standard Chinese read the short discourses aloud. The offset f0, f0 Max, and f0 Min of the first sentence and the onset f0, f0 Max, and f0 Min of the second sentence were measured. It was found that relative to topic internal condition, topic shift condition induced higher onset f0 following the boundary. Moreover, this higher onset f0 was caused by the raising of both f0 max and f0 min, suggesting pitch register raising rather than pitch range expansion following the boundary. Syntactic structure as index by clause or sentence was found to have no effect on boundary pitch parameters. These results provide strong evidence for a role of topic strucutre in speech production展开更多

Telkom Tbk., and PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk.. Intelligence development is a main focus for an individual to be an effective leader in every situation. The purpose of this research is to find out more about leader intelligence in telecommunication industry. This research uses survey and descriptive method. Operational variables consist of intellectual intelligence (X0, emotional intelligence (X2), spiritual intelligence (X3), and adversity intelligence (X4). We use the Likert type as a scale of quetionaire. We use convenience sampling as a sampling technique. Results from data processing show that intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and adversity intelligence of leader in telecommunication industry are included in high category with an average percentage of 77.95%. There is no dominant intelligence that is needed to be a successful leader. The main focus is how leaders can synergize all the intelligence that they have to solve a problem, and they must also realize that changes in the telecommunication industry are very fast, so they must familiarize themselves to uncertain situations.展开更多

A multiv...Variable-air-volume (VAV) air-conditioning system is a multi-variable system and has multi coupling control loops. While all of the control loops are working together, they interfere and influence each other. A multivariable decoupling PID controller is designed for VAV air-conditioning system. Diagonal matrix decoupling method is employed to eliminate the coupling between the loop of supply air temperature and that of thermal-space air temperature. The PID controller parameters are optimized by means of an improved genetic algorithm in floating point representations to obtain better performance. The population in the improved genetic algorithm mutates before crossover, which is helpful for the convergence. Additionally the micro mutation algorithm is proposed and applied to improve the convergence during the later evolution. To search the best parameters, the optimized parameters ranges should be amplified 10 times the initial ideal parameters. The simulation and experiment results show that the decoupling control system is effective and feasible. The method can overcome the strong coupling feature of the system and has shorter governing time and less over-shoot than non-optimization PID control.展开更多

Studies about system design and operati...Geothermal is a fast-growing alternative heat source for HVAC systems, however, the initial cost of using a ground source HVAC system is higher compared to an air source system. Studies about system design and operation are necessary to reduce the initial cost and ensure that the ground source heat pump system has high efficiency, resulting in a lower total life-time cost. In this study, a multi-variable evolutionary computation algorithm is proposed for generating optimal parameters for a geothermal source HVAC system. The system was modeled and simulated using MATLAB. The design parameters were calculated by minimizing the energy consumption, Based on an experimental building, a case study was presented. Using this model, the optimal set points were calculated and used as a designed system. Energy consumption of this system was reduced by about 10% compared to the system operated with a fixed supply cold water temperature (7 ℃).展开更多

Simple discourses containing three sentences were constructed and the boundary between the first sentence and the second sentence of each discourse varied along the following parameters: (1) topic internal, clause; (2) topic shift, clause; (3) topic internal, sentence; and (4) topic shift, sentence. Seven native speakers of Standard Chinese read the short discourses aloud. The offset f0, f0 Max, and f0 Min of the first sentence and the onset f0, f0 Max, and f0 Min of the second sentence were measured. It was found that relative to topic internal condition, topic shift condition induced higher onset f0 following the boundary. Moreover, this higher onset f0 was caused by the raising of both f0 max and f0 min, suggesting pitch register raising rather than pitch range expansion following the boundary. Syntactic structure as index by clause or sentence was found to have no effect on boundary pitch parameters. These results provide strong evidence for a role of topic strucutre in speech production

文摘Intelligence is individual capacity to act appropriate with purpose, think rationally, and adjust with environmental conditions. A successful company is related with the intelligence and ability of its leader to create excellent strategies to be a winner in a competition. High competition occurs among cellular operators in Indonesia. The big-five companies in telecommunication industry are PT. Telkomsel Tbk., PT. XL Axiata Tbk., PT. Indosat Tbk., PT. Telkom Tbk., and PT. Bakrie Telecom Tbk.. Intelligence development is a main focus for an individual to be an effective leader in every situation. The purpose of this research is to find out more about leader intelligence in telecommunication industry. This research uses survey and descriptive method. Operational variables consist of intellectual intelligence (X0, emotional intelligence (X2), spiritual intelligence (X3), and adversity intelligence (X4). We use the Likert type as a scale of quetionaire. We use convenience sampling as a sampling technique. Results from data processing show that intellectual intelligence, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and adversity intelligence of leader in telecommunication industry are included in high category with an average percentage of 77.95%. There is no dominant intelligence that is needed to be a successful leader. The main focus is how leaders can synergize all the intelligence that they have to solve a problem, and they must also realize that changes in the telecommunication industry are very fast, so they must familiarize themselves to uncertain situations.
文摘To determine the climate changes that are due to natural variability and those due to human activities is quite challenging,just like delineating the impacts.Moreover,it is equally difficult to ascertain the adaptive strategies for coping with the climate changes and in particular for developing countries like Kenya.While climate change is a global phenomenon,the impacts are more or less specific to local areas such as observed in Kenyan case.Therefore climate change impacts adaptation strategies are appropriately applicable to a given local perspective.The study investigated the main indicators of climate change and effective adaptive strategies that can be employed in Kenya.Based on online questionnaire survey,the study established unpredictable rainfall patterns as the major indicator of climate change in the country,while water harvesting and change of cropping methods are the best adaptive strategies.

文摘Variable-air-volume (VAV) air-conditioning system is a multi-variable system and has multi coupling control loops. While all of the control loops are working together, they interfere and influence each other. A multivariable decoupling PID controller is designed for VAV air-conditioning system. Diagonal matrix decoupling method is employed to eliminate the coupling between the loop of supply air temperature and that of thermal-space air temperature. The PID controller parameters are optimized by means of an improved genetic algorithm in floating point representations to obtain better performance. The population in the improved genetic algorithm mutates before crossover, which is helpful for the convergence. Additionally the micro mutation algorithm is proposed and applied to improve the convergence during the later evolution. To search the best parameters, the optimized parameters ranges should be amplified 10 times the initial ideal parameters. The simulation and experiment results show that the decoupling control system is effective and feasible. The method can overcome the strong coupling feature of the system and has shorter governing time and less over-shoot than non-optimization PID control.
文摘Geothermal is a fast-growing alternative heat source for HVAC systems, however, the initial cost of using a ground source HVAC system is higher compared to an air source system. Studies about system design and operation are necessary to reduce the initial cost and ensure that the ground source heat pump system has high efficiency, resulting in a lower total life-time cost. In this study, a multi-variable evolutionary computation algorithm is proposed for generating optimal parameters for a geothermal source HVAC system. The system was modeled and simulated using MATLAB. The design parameters were calculated by minimizing the energy consumption, Based on an experimental building, a case study was presented. Using this model, the optimal set points were calculated and used as a designed system. Energy consumption of this system was reduced by about 10% compared to the system operated with a fixed supply cold water temperature (7 ℃).
