Graphitic carbon nitride(g-C3N4) with efficient photocatalytic activity was synthesized through thermal polymerization of thiourea with the addition of water(CN-W) or ethanol(CN-E) at 550 ℃for 2 h.The physicochemical properties of the g-C3N4 were investigated by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy,photoluminescence spectroscopy,diffuse-reflection spectroscopy,BET and BJH surface area characterization,and elemental analysis.The carbon content was found to have self-doped into the g-C3N4 matrix during the thermal polymerization of thiourea and ethanol.CN-W and CN-E showed considerably enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity,with NO removal percentages of 37.2%and 48.3%,respectively.Compared with pure g-C3N4,both the short and long lifetimes of the charge carriers in CN-W and CN-E were found to be prolonged.The mechanism of improved visible-light photocatalytic activity was deduced.The present work may provide a facile route to optimize the microstructure of g-C3N4photocatalysts for high-performance environmental and energy applications. 展开更多

Three compounds with nitrocarbazole frameworks were synthesized and their electrochemical reversibility as organic electrocatalysts was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The electrochemical reversibility and oxidation‐reduction potential of the compounds were greatly affected by their substituents. The oxidation‐reduction potential of the compound with an electron‐donating group was negative, while that of the compound with an electron‐withdrawing group on the carbazole framework was positive. The electrocatalytic oxidation activities of the nitrocarbazole compounds were investigated through cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential electrolysis at room tem‐perature. The electrocatalysts showed excellent selectivity for p‐methoxybenzyl alcohol, converting it to the corresponding aldehyde through electro‐oxidation with just 2.5 mol%of the electrocata‐lysts presented. The electrocatalysts maintained their excellent electroredox activity following re‐cycling. 展开更多

Ag2O-TiO 2/sepiolite heterostructure composites were synthesized by a simple two-step method at low temperatures(100–450 °C). Acid red G aqueous solution and gaseous formaldehyde were chosen as model organic pollutants to evaluate the photocatalytic performance of the as-prepared composites. The results showed that the Ag2O-TiO 2/sepiolite exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity over pure Ag2O-TiO 2,TiO 2/sepiolite,and Ag2O/sepiolite under visible-light irradiation(λ 420 nm). The excellent photocatalytic efficiency of these composites can be ascribed to the synergistic effect between the heterojunction and the porous structure of the clay layers,which induced high adsorption and efficient charge separation. In addition,the active species involved in the degradation reaction have been investigated by photoluminescence spectroscopy and quenching experiments. A possible photocatalytic degradation mechanism of acid red G dye by the Ag2O-TiO 2/sepiolite composite is also discussed. 展开更多

All computational models were built in a vacuum environment to eliminate the effects of oxygen and other factors. H2O molecule prefers to stay with pyrite and sphalerite surfaces rather than water, whereas for galena, chalcocite, stibnite, and molybdenite, H2O molecule prefers to stay with water rather than the mineral surfaces. On the other hand, pyrite surface favors N2 more than water, while sphalerite surface cannot adsorb N2. These results show that galena, stibnite, chalcocite, and molybdenite are hydrophobic, while sphalerite is hydrophilic. Although pyrite has certain hydrophilicity, it tends to be aerophilic because the reaction of pyrite with H2O is weaker than pyrite with N2. Thus, pyrite, galena, chalcocite, stibnite and molybdenite all have natural floatability. 展开更多

[Objective] This study aimed to investigate the effect of potyamine priming on physiological and biochemical variations of Lolium perenne embryos and seed germination. [Method] With annual Lolium perenne (Diamond T and Grazing-8000) as experimental materials, after priming with 0.5 mmol/L putrescine (Put), spermidine (Spd) and spermine (Spm) for 24 h and chilling imbibition at 5 ℃ for 12, 24, 36 and 48 h, the effect of Put, Spd and Spm priming on chilling tolerance and germination ability of annual Lolium perenne seeds during imbibition was investigated. [Result] Put, Spd and Spm priming improved the activities of peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) and content of soluble protein content under low temperature stress, significantly in-creased the germination rate, and shortened the average germination duration. After chilling imbibition for 48 h, compared with the control, the average germination rate of annual Lolium perenne seeds was improved by 15.5% and 12.0% after Put, Spd and Spm priming, and the average germination duration was shortened by 1.21 and 1.14 d. During seed imbibition, the chilling tolerance of Grazing-8000 was stronger than that of Diamond T. Overall, Put, Spd and Spm treatment could increase the chilling tolerance of annual Lolium perenne seeds during imbibition, and improve the germination ability of seeds under low temperature stress. [Conclusion] Results of this study provided theoretical basis for the application of seed priming technology in the production of annual ryegrass. 展开更多

A new pseudolites (PLs) structure optimization model of global navigation satellite system (GNSS)/PLs integration positioning system used in deep open-pit mine was presented. Position dilution of precision (Pdop) and reliability were selected as the optimization indicators to build a multi-objective optimization model to decide the optimum PLs location. A scheme was designed by establishing a four-dimensional model taking azimuth (a), elevation angle (e) and epoch (t) of satellites as the input independent variables and Pdop as the dependent variable to calculate the optimum PLs location zone considering the real circumstances. And then the ultimate PLs location can be fixed by testing the curves of Pdop along time. A field collected Trimble R8 GPS data set in China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) campus was used for the model test to show the effectiveness, and the proposed PLs optimum design scheme was used at the west open-pit mine of Fushun mining group Co., Ltd., in China, better Pdop and reliability have been achieved for the integration system. Both experiments show that the proposed scheme is excellent in designing GNSS/PLs system which is helpful for improving the performance of the positioning system and reducing the cost. 展开更多

Low-temperature soluble carbohydrate accumulations are commonly associated with anthocyanin coloration, attenuated growth and cold adaptation of cool-season grasses. The vrn-1 gene has potent effects on vernalization requirement, growth, and soluble carbohydrate accumulations of the winter-annual Triticeae species. Two hundred and four unmapped AFLP markers and genome-specific DNA markers genetically linked to the vrn-1 gene were used to detect QTL controlling soluble carbohydrate accumulations, anthocyanin coloration and growth characteristics in a segregating population derived from open pollinated Leymus cinereus x L. triticoides hybrids. These perennial Triticeae grasses are distinguished by adaptation and growth habit. As expected, positive trait correlations and pleiotropic gene effects were detected for soluble carbohydrate accumulations and anthocyanin coloration. Likewise, positive trait correlations and pleiotropic gene effects were detected for tillering, leaf development, leaf growth, regrowth and rhizome spread. However, soluble carbohydrate accumulations were not associated with attenuated growth. In fact, several DNA marker alleles, including one near vrn-Ns1, had positive effects on soluble leaf carbohydrate concentrations and low temperature growth. The corresponding DNA marker near vrn-Ns1 had more specific effects on tillering. We speculate that vrn-1 exerts quantitative effects on low-temperature soluble leaf carbohydrate accumulations and growth habit of the perennial Leymus. However, a number of other DNA markers displayed highly significant effects on soluble carbohydrate accumulations and various growth characteristics. Findings indicate that anthocyanin coloration may be a useful phenotypic marker for soluble carbohydrate accumulation. Although variation for soluble carbohydrates was not associated with attenuated growth in this population, this trait was under genetic control. 展开更多

With this method, controllable, clean,tensionless nano-contacts for spin polarization probing can be obtained. Measurements of the fabricated samples show complicated spectral structures with a zero bias anomaly and dip structures from quasipartical interactions. A control sample of Co40Fe40B20 is measured with Nb tip method. None of the measured spectra can be explained satisfactorily by present theory. Further analysis of the contact interface and a more complete theory are needed to extract a reliable spin polarization message with the point contact Andreev reflection method. 展开更多

There are some limitations when we apply conventional methods to analyze the massive amounts of seismic data acquired with high-density spatial sampling since processors usually obtain the properties of raw data from common shot gathers or other datasets located at certain points or along lines. We propose a novel method in this paper to observe seismic data on time slices from spatial subsets. The composition of a spatial subset and the unique character of orthogonal or oblique subsets are described and pre-stack subsets are shown by 3D visualization. In seismic data processing, spatial subsets can be used for the following aspects: (1) to check the trace distribution uniformity and regularity; (2) to observe the main features of ground-roll and linear noise; (3) to find abnormal traces from slices of datasets; and (4) to QC the results of pre-stack noise attenuation. The field data application shows that seismic data analysis in spatial subsets is an effective method that may lead to a better discrimination among various wavefields and help us obtain more information. 展开更多

In this study,we showed that BiO Br nanoplates prepared at different pH values have substratedependent photocatalytic activities under visible-light irradiation. The BiO Br nanoplates synthesized at pH 1(BOB-1) degraded salicylic acid more effectively than did those obtained at pH 3(BOB-3),but the order of their photocatalytic activities in rhodamine B(RhB) degradation were reversed. Electrochemical Mott–Schottky and zeta-potential measurements showed that BOB-1 had a more positive valence band and lower surface charge,leading to superior photocatalytic activity in salicylic acid degradation under visible light. However,BOB-3 was more powerful in RhB degradation because larger numbers of superoxide radicals were generated via electron injection from the excited RhB to its more negative conduction band under visible-light irradiation; this was confirmed using active oxygen species measurements and electron spin resonance analysis. This study deepens our understanding of the origins of organic-pollutant-dependent photoreactivities of semiconductors,and will help in designing highly active photocatalysts for environmental remediation. 展开更多

The reliability and availability of the reactor protection system (RPS) can be improved by using M out of N judg- ment system. By analyzing two quantitative indicators, the rate of refusal to operate and mal-operation rate, a strict math- ematical formula and an approximate calculation are stated. The differences of a series of judgment systems are discussed on condition that the unsafe failure probability and the security failure probability are both 0.1. Based on given parameters (A, B,P, Q): A is upper limit of the refusal rate for the RPS, B is upper limit of the real-operation rate, P and Q are basic protection unit rates corresponding to refusal rate and mal-operation rate, respectively. Since the specifications of most of the existing context-sensitive graph grammars tend to be either too intricate or not intuitive, a novel context-sensitive graph grammar formalism, called context-attributed graph grammar(CAGG), is proposed. In order to resolve the embedding problem, context information of a graph production in the CAGG is represented in the form of context attributes of the nodes involved. Moreover, several properties of a set of confluent CAGG productions are characterized, and then an algorithm based on them is developed to decide whether or not a set of productions is confluent, which provides the foundation for the design of efficient parsing algorithms. It can also be shown through the comparison of CAGG with several typical context-sensitive graph grammars that CAGG is more succinct and, at the same time, more intuitive than the others, making it more suitably and effortlessly applicable to the specification of visual languages. 展开更多

Zhongmian 42 and Xinluzao 36 were used as raw materials to determine the contents of soluble sugar and protein, as well as dynamic changes of enzyme activities after flowering during cotton fiber growth. The results showed that contents of soluble protein in the two species sharply declined 7 to 21 days after flowering, as the soluble sugar in Zhongmian 42 leveling off after 21 days of flowering while the soluble sugar in Xinluzao 36 dropped notably after 21 days of flowering before remaining stable after seven days later. The soluble sugar decreased 7 to 14 days after flowering before sharply rising to the maximum seven days later, and then began to decline quickly. The soluble sugar was the minimum after 35 days of flowering and then remaining stable. Peroxidase activity generally increased. Indole-3- acetic acid oxidase activities were low at 7 days after flowering. IAAO activity reached to the peaks on the 14th and 28th day after flowering. IAAO activity of two varieties decreased with the same trend 35 days after flowering. 展开更多

The influence of various water soluble cations(K^+,Na^+,Ca^2+,Mg^2+)on the hydration of calcined flue gas desulphurization gypsum was investigated.The results show that all cations but Ca^2+can accelerate the hydration of bassanite.The final crystal size is not largely influenced by different salts,except for Na^+,where the giant crystal with length of>130μm is observed.Current study clarifies the influence of different ions on the hydration of bassanite,which could provide sufficient guide for the pre-treatment of original flue gas desulphurization gypsum before actual application. 展开更多

The effects of ration level and feeding frequency on digestibility in juvenile soft-shelled turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis, were investigated. Four ration levels 1.5%, 2.5%, 4.0% and satiation (6.0% BW/d) were used. Apparent digestibility (AD) of dry matter (DMAD), protein (PAD) and protein real digestibility (PRD) were significantly affected by ration level, but not by feeding frequency when the ration level was similar. However, the feeding frequency affected the AD, DMAD, PAD and PRD significantly when the turtles were fed to satiation. The relationship between fecal protein content (Y) and protein intake (At) can be expressed as a quadric equation: Y=-0.1742+0.1476X-0.0003X^2 (r^2=0.876, n=27, F=93.92, P〈0.01). 展开更多
