The wideband CMOS voltage-controlled oscillator(VCO)with low phase noise and low power consumption is presented for a DRM/DAB(digital radio mondiale and digital audio broadcasting)frequency synthesizer.In order to...The wideband CMOS voltage-controlled oscillator(VCO)with low phase noise and low power consumption is presented for a DRM/DAB(digital radio mondiale and digital audio broadcasting)frequency synthesizer.In order to obtain a wide band and a large tuning range,a parallel switched capacitor bank is added in the LC tank.The proposed VCO is implemented in SMIC 0.18-μm RF CMOS technology and the chip area is 750 μm×560 μm,including the test buffer circuit and the pads.Measured results show that the tuning range is 44.6%;i.e.,the frequency turning range is from 2.27 to 3.57 GHz.The measured phase noise is-122.22 dBc/Hz at a 1 MHz offset from the carrier.The maximum power consumption of the core part is 6.16 mW at a 1.8 V power supply.展开更多

METHODS: The applicability for LSM was defined a...AIM: To investigate the liver stiffness measurement (LSM) applicability and variability with reference to three probe positions according to the region of liver biopsy. METHODS: The applicability for LSM was defined as at least 10 valid measurements with a success rate greater than 60% and an interquartile range/median LSM < 30%. The LSM variability compared the inter-position concordance and the concordance with FibroTest. RESULTS: Four hundred and forty two consecutive patients were included. The applicability of the anterior position (81%) was significantly higher than that of the reference (69%) and lower positions (68%), (both P = 0.0001). There was a signif icant difference (0.5 kPa, 95% CI 0.13-0.89; P < 0.0001) between mean LSM estimated at the reference position (9.3 kPa) vs the anterior position (8.8 kPa). Discordance between positions was associated with thoracic fold (P = 0.008). The discordance rate between the reference position result and FibroTest was higher when the 7.1 kPa cutoff was used to define advanced fibrosis instead of 8.8 kPa (33.6% vs 23.5%, P = 0.03).CONCLUSION: The anterior position of the probe should be the fi rst choice for LSM using Fibroscan, as it has a higher applicability without higher variability compared to the usual liver biopsy position.展开更多

The almost imperceptible displacements of monitoring points are zoomed by two kind of exaggerating methods. The deformation process is replayed using 3D animation technique.展开更多

The body was divided into six parts: "eyes", "hair", "upper body", "lower body", "facial features", and "skin", and male and female cognition about the changeability of each body part was compared. The participants were 205 undergraduate students (145 female students and 60 male studentsl) enrolled in a university in Japan. The female and male students showed a similarity in their cognition of"hair" as easily changeable and "facial features" as difficult to change. In addition, there was a difference between the male and female students in the cognition of the changeability of the "eyes", with the females perceiving a high level of changeability and men, a low changeability. This result suggests that female students believe in the effectiveness of makeup for covering cosmetic flaws of the eye.展开更多
