In order to better safeguard complex ecological system and ecological civilization construction in tiie city, and solve the appropriate ratio of water and wetland area to total land area, for water ecological civilization construction in low impact development, the pursuit of water resources sustainability, the pursuit of safety concept, the pursuit of ecological engineeting technology and the pursuit of art are proposed. Based on these pursuits, the principles and design methods of campus landscape creation in colleges and univefsities under the concept of elow impact^ is analyzed. Taking the landscape design, of the shated training base from Jiangsu Vocational Institute of Architectural Technology as an example, how to use the concept of clow impacf? development in actual cases is analyze4 to achieve rainwater collection, water purification, water storage and rainwater ecological utilization, and create a holistic, ecological and diverse sustainable landscape in colleges and universities.展开更多
Multi-storey housing for low income society is a concept of redevelopment from many alternatives of housing development for slum in Jakarta. However, redevelopment directly or indirectly leads to displacement of low-i...Multi-storey housing for low income society is a concept of redevelopment from many alternatives of housing development for slum in Jakarta. However, redevelopment directly or indirectly leads to displacement of low-income residents. The new residents would be of a higher socio-economic status than the previous occupants. For controlling this phenomenon, a study about the influence of displacement to the successful of sustainable multi-storey housing development for low-income society has been done with descriptive method, observation and literature study. The result of this study give knowledge that displacement always happened when the quality of building and environment is increase, the location of multi-storey housing is near city center and commercial area. Low income society voluntary displaced their units to middle or high income society, because they are not affordable for paying operational and maintenance costs. The government has to make regulations for controlling displacement on multi-storey housing for low-income society and for the successful of sustainable multi-storey housing development in urban area.展开更多

This paper analyzes the current situation of personal accounts in our country, and puts forward that the account rate of bank deposit can not resist inflation, and can not reflect the real return rate of China's pension funds, which is not conducive to the preservation and appreciation of personal account funds. On the basis of the above, the paper puts forward that the account rate should not only consider the level of economic development and inflation, but also to adapt to the financial payment ability, and establish the personal account risk reserve fund system and other improvement measures, and strive to achieve the sustainable development of the personal account system.展开更多

Direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs) allow highly efficient low temperature conversion of chemical energy into electricity and are expected to play a vital role in our future sustainable society. However, the mass...Direct formic acid fuel cells (DFAFCs) allow highly efficient low temperature conversion of chemical energy into electricity and are expected to play a vital role in our future sustainable society. However, the massive precious metal usage in current membrane electrode assembly (MEA) technology greatly inhibits their actual applications. Here we demonstrate a new type of anode constructed by confining highly active nanoengineered catalysts into an ultra-thin catalyst layer with thickness around 100 nm. Specifically, an atomic layer of platinum is first deposited onto nanoporous gold (NPG) leaf to achieve high utilization of Pt and easy accessibility of both reactants and electrons to active sites. These NPG-Pt core/shell nanostructures are further decorated by a sub-monolayer of Bi to create highly active reaction sites for formic acid electro-oxidation. Thus obtained layer-structured NPG-Pt-Bi thin films allow a dramatic decrease in Pt usage down to 3 ~tg.cm-2, while maintaining very high electrode activity and power performance at sufficiently low overall precious metal loading. Moreover, these electrode materials show superior durability during half-year test in actual DFAFCs, with remarkable resistance to common impurities in formic acid, which together imply their great potential in applications in actual devices.展开更多
