[Objective] The aim was to explore the dynamic change laws of chlorophyll fluorescence parameters in different parts of leaves of Ginkgo biloba.[Method] The G.biloba cultivated in North China was used as materials in this study to explore the law of daily change and ten-day change of the chlorophyll fluorescence parameters of leaves in different parts of leaves.[Result] The daily change of Fm(maximal fluorescence),Fv(variable fluorescence),Fv/Fm,Fm/Fo(electron transfer rate),Fv/Fo(potential activity of PSⅡ)in leaves of G.biloba obviously presented a descending-ascending trend,the lowest value was at 12:00 and the NPQ(non-photochemical quenching)of sunny leaves arrived at the maximum at noon.The values of Fm,Fv,Fv/Fm,Fm/Fo,Fv/Fo in shade leaves of G.biloba were obviously higher than those in sunny leaves,but the peak value of NPQ of shade leaves presented earlier and higher,suggesting that the shade leaves might have more sensitive hot dissipation mechanism.Comparing to sunny leaves,shade leaves had the higher PSⅡ potential activity and inner light energy translation efficiency.[Conclusion] This study had provided theoretical basis for the protection of G.biloba resources. 展开更多

Dynamic Variation and Simulation of Extinction Coefficient of Corn Population

[Objective] The aim was to study the dynamic variation of extinction coefficient of corn population, so as to improve the accuracy of assessment on net primary productivity (NPP) or yield. [Method] Based on the data of photosynthetic active radiation and leaf area index during corn growing season (from May to September) in 2006, observed in Jinzhou observation station of corn farmland ecosystem, China Meteorological Administration, the dynamic variation of extinction coefficient of corn population was analyzed. [Result] There was a great daily variation in the extinction coefficient of corn population during growing season, and the maximum value appeared from 7:00 to 9:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00, while the minimum could be found around 12:00, but the amplitude of variation decreased in tasseling stage. On a large time scale (5 d), there was a parabolic relationship between extinction coefficient (K) and leaf area index (LAI), with determination coefficient R2 of 0.960 7. The simulation equation of extinction coefficient, based on the sun elevation angle or leaf area index, had poor accuracy at various time during growing season, so a new dynamic model of extinction coefficient was established, namely K=λ(0.784 8-0.001 6θ)(0.154 8LAI2-0.558 6LAI+0.654). [Conclusion] The effect of sun elevation angle and leaf area index on extinction coefficient during corn growing season was considered in the new dynamic model of extinction coefficient, and its simulated result was superior to that of single-factor model. 展开更多

Here we report a new case of usage of caves as overnight sleeping shelters by Franqois' or black langurs (Trachypithecusfraru;oisi) at Mayanghe National Nature Reserve in Yanhe County, Guizhou Province, China. Achieving water purity in Poyang Lake has become a major concern in recent years, thus appropriate evaluation of spatial and temporal water quality variations has become essential. Variations in 11 water quality parameters from 15 sampling sites in Poyang Lake were investigated from 2009 to 2012. An integrative fuzzy variable evaluation(IFVE) model based on fuzzy theory and variable weights was developed to measure variations in water quality. Results showed that: 1) only chlorophyll-a concentration and Secchi depth differed significantly among the 15 sampling sites(P < 0.01), whereas the 11 water quality parameters under investigation differed significantly throughout the seasons(P < 0.01). The annual variations of all water quality variables except for temperature, electrical conductivity, suspended solids and total phosphorus were considerable(P < 0.05). 2) The IFVE model was reasonable and flexible in evaluating water quality status and any possible ′bucket effect′. The model fully considered the influences of extremely poor indices on overall water quality. 3) A spatial analysis indicated that anthropogenic activities(particularly industrial sewage and dredging) and lake bed topography might directly affect water quality in Poyang Lake. Meanwhile, hydrological status and sewage discharged into the lake might be responsible for seasonal water quality variations. 展开更多

Solid–liquid separation is a vital step in drilling sludge disposal, and the filterability and settleability of drilling sludge are the main evaluating indicators for the separation process. The influence of Na^+,K^+,Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),and Fe^(3+) on drilling sludge filterability and settleability was investigated in our research. The water content,filtration rate, supernatant volume and supernatant turbidity were measured to evaluate the filterability and settleability of drilling sludge. Meanwhile, the zeta potential, specific surface area of sludge flocs, particle size distribution and Fourier-transformed infrared spectra were employed to clarify the influencing mechanism.The experimental results showed that the filterability and settleability of drilling sludge were related to concentration and types of cations. Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),and Fe^(3+) performed better than Na^+, K^+, and the cations with smaller hydrated radius got superior solid–liquid separation behavior at same valence. Finally, the spectra indicated that no chemical adsorption occurred between inorganic cations and drilling sludge flocs. The variation of surface charge and flocs growth after adding different inorganic cations were the reasons for the changes of the filterability and settleability. 展开更多

The photopolymerization kinetics of cycloaliphatic epoxide and oxetane with accelerators were investigated with Real-time Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(RT-FTIR).The consumption rates of epoxy group and oxetane group as a function of time were obtained by monitoring of the absorption peaks in the 789 cm-1 and 981 cm-1.The effect of accelerators type and the accelerating mechanism were discussed.In general,benzyl alcohol and its analogues with electron-donating substituents are useful accelerators for the cationic polymerization of cycloaliphatic epoxide and oxetane.Activated monomer mechanism and free-radical chain-induced decomposition of onium salt cationic photoinitiator account for the observed accelerating effect on the polymerization rate. 展开更多

Methods: The volatile constituents were extracted using headspace heating and analyze... Objective: To compare the volatile constituents in mugwort leaves produced in Qichun, Hubei Province and Nanyang, Henan Province. Methods: The volatile constituents were extracted using headspace heating and analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Then a qualitative analysis was made according to the standard database provided by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the relative contents of each constituent were calculated using the peak area normalization method. Results: A total of 59 compounds were identified from the mugwort leaves from Qichun and 51 compounds were identified from the mugwort leaves from Nanyang. These mainly include monoterpenoids, sesquiterpenoids, C^HvOz and other compounds involving the aldehyde, ketone, alkane and benzene. The mugwort leaves from Qichun and Nanyang share 32 common volatile constituents. The chromatographic peak area of identified compounds accounting for 96.38% of GC-MS total chromatographic peak areain Qichun mugwort leaves, versus 95.54% of that in Nanyang mugwort leaves. Conclusion: The headspace heating extraction combined with GC-MS technology can evidently display similarities and differences of volatile constituents in mugwort leaves produced in different areas and thus provide scientific basis for the quality and screening of mugwort leaves. 展开更多

According to the requirements of a solar dish-Brayton system,a centrifugal compressor stage with a minimum total pressure ratio of 5,an adiabatic efficiency above 75% and a surge margin more than 12% needs to be designed.A single stage,which consists of impeller,radial vaned diffuser,90° crossover and two rows of axial stators,was chosen to satisfy this system.To achieve the stage performance,an impeller with a 6:1 total pressure ratio and an adiabatic efficiency of 90% was designed and its preliminary geometry came from an in-house one-dimensional program.Radial vaned diffuser was applied downstream of the impeller.Two rows of axial stators after 90° crossover were added to guide the flow into axial direction.Since jet-wake flow,shockwave and boundary layer separation coexisted in the impeller-diffuser region,optimization on the radius ratio of radial diffuser vane inlet to impeller exit,diffuser vane inlet blade angle and number of diffuser vanes was carried out at design point.Finally,an optimized centrifugal compressor stage fulfilled the high expectations and presented proper performance.Numerical simulation showed that at design point the stage adiabatic efficiency was 79.93% and the total pressure ratio was 5.6.The surge margin was 15%.The performance map including 80%,90% and 100% design speed was also presented. 展开更多

Soil Acidification of Alfisols as Influenced by Tea Cultivation in Eastern China 被引量:49

Soil acidification is an important process in land degradation around the world as well as in China.Acidification of Alfisols was investigated in the tea gardens with various years of tea cultivation in the eastern China.Cultivation of tea plants caused soil acidification and soil acidity increased with the increase of tea cultivation period.Soil pH of composite samples from cultivated layers decreased by 1.37,1.62 and 1.85,respectively,after 13,34 and 54 years of tea plantation,as compared to the surface soil obtained from the unused land.Soil acidification rates at early stages of tea cultivation were found to be higher than those at the later stages.The acidification rate for the period of 0-13 years was as high as 4.40 kmol H + ha ?1 year ?1 for the cultivated layer samples.Soil acidification induced the decrease of soil exchangeable base cations and base cation saturation and thus increased the soil exchangeable acidity.Soil acidification also caused the decrease of soil cation exchange capacity,especially for the 54-year-old tea garden.Soil acidification induced by tea plantation also led to the increase of soil exchangeable Al and soluble Al,which was responsible for the Al toxicity to plants. 展开更多

In this study, we examined the ch... Interaction of ammonium (NH+4) and potassium (K+) is typical in field soils. However, the effects of organic matter on interaction of NH+4 and K+have not been thoroughly investigated. In this study, we examined the changes in major physicochemical properties of three clay minerals (kaolinite, illite, and montmorillonite) after humic acid (HA) coating and evaluated the influences of these changes on the interaction of NH+4 and K+on clay minerals using batch experiments. After HA coating, the cation exchange capacity (CEC) and specific surface area (SSA) of montmorillonite decreased significantly, while little decrease in CEC and SSA occurred in illite and only a slight increase in CEC was found in kaolinite. Humic acid coating significantly increased cation adsorption and preference for NH+4, and this effect was more obvious on clay minerals with a lower CEC. Results of Fourier transform infrared spectrometry analysis showed that HA coating promoted the formation of H-bonds between the adsorbed NH+4 and the organo-mineral complexes. HA coating increased cation fixation capacity on montmorillonite and kaolinite, but the opposite occurred on illite. In addition, HA coating increased the competitiveness of NH+4 on fixation sites. These results showed that HA coating affected both the nature of clay mineral surfaces and the reactions of NH+4 and K+with clay minerals, which might influence the availability of nutrient cations to plants in field soils amended with organic matter. 展开更多
