The dynamical evolution process of the coupled system is investigated with variations of the system parameter and coupling coefficients. Particularly, the influence of coupling strength on dynamics of the coupled system is analyzed in detail. The range of the coupling strength in which the coupled system can generate hyperchaos or realize synchronization is determined, including phase portraits, Lyapunov exponents, and Poincare section. And the critical value of the system parameter between hyperchaos and synchronization is also found with fixed coupled strength. In addition, abundant dynamical behaviors such as four-wing hyperchaotic, two-wing chaotic, single-wing coexisting attractors and periodic orbits are observed and chaos synchronization error curves are also drawn by varying system parameter c. Numerical simulations are implemented to verify the results of these investigations.展开更多

The number of buildings delivered after the scheduled deadline in two cities between December 2009 and January 2011 was found (n = 542), and a sample of 82 residential units was taken. In order to obtain the data, a semi-structured questionnaire was given to the homeowners. It was observed that only 35% (n = 29) of the contracts included a penalty clause for delay. However, in 19 of the 29 contracts the clause regarding delay came with other clauses that allowed the company to delay the delivery of the building for up to six months. This clause is considered null in Brazilian legislation. As for compensation, only one (1.82%) owner demanded that the company provide a rental property during the period of delay. It could be concluded that contractors are not observing Brazilian legislation regarding the delay in the delivery of residential units. In addition, conformism is perceived in the attitude of the homeowners.展开更多

The frequency synthesizer is designed for a frequency hopping (FH) transceiver operating up to 1.5 GHz as a local oscillator. The architecture of Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) is optimized to get better performance, and a phase noise of -111.85-dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz and a tuning range of 250 MHz are gained at a centre frequency of 1.35 GHz. A novel Dual-Modulus Prescaler(DMP) is designed to achieve a very low jitter and a lower power. The settling time of PLL is 80 μs while the reference frequency is 400 KHz.This monolithic frequency synthesizer is to integrate all main building blocks of PLL except for the low pass filter, with a maximum VCO output frequency of 1.5 GHz, and is fabricated with a 0.18 μm mixed signal CMOS process. Low power dissipation, low phase noise, large tuning range and fast settling time are gained in this design.展开更多

This system combines B/S and C/S together, and it also uses three-tire application of ASP.NET which sets up a business subsystem based on functional module management in vehicle. Additionally, MFC solves the problems in weighing management systems. This system goes with unit testing, integration testing, and system testing, and the whole process realizes an effective monitoring from coal trucks applying for delivery, checking in, and weighing to checking out. Besides, it also secures precise and accurate weighing data, and deals with the new coming coal contract in a faster way. The real project indicates this system wins a very good reputation and it is worthy of spreading in a broader context.展开更多

However, bidirec- tional coupling in real life such as complex dynamical networks is more universal. This paper provides a unified method for analyzing chaos synchronization of two bidirectionally coupled generalized Lorenz systems. Some sufficient synchronization conditions for some special coupling matrices (diagonal ma- trices, so-called dislocated coupling matrices, and so on) are derived through rigorously mathematical theory. In particular, for the classical Lorenz system, the authors obtain synchronization criteria which only depend upon its parameters using new estimation of the ultimate bounds of Lorenz system (Chaos, Solitons, and Fractals, 2005). The criteria are then applied to four typical generalized Lorenz systems in the numerical simulations for verification.展开更多

Many similarities have recently been identified for both step strain and startup continuous deformation, including elastic yielding, i.e., chain disentanglement after cessation of shear or extension, and emergence of a yield point during startup deformation that involves a deformation rate in excess of the dominant molecular relaxation rate. At a sufficiently high constant Hencky rate, uniaxial extension of an entangled melt is known to produce window-glass-like rupture. The present study provides evidence against the speculation that chain entanglements tie up into "dead knots" in constant-rate extension because of the exponentially growing chain stretching with time. In particular, it is shown that even Instron-style tensile stretching, i.e., extending a specimen by applying a constant velocity on both ends, results in rupture. Yet, in the same rate range, the same entangled melt only yields in simple shear, and the resulting shear banding is clearly not a characteristic of rupture. Thus, we conclude that chain entanglements respond to simple shear in the manner of yielding whereas uniaxial extension is rather effective in causing some entanglements to lock up, making it impossible for the entanglement network to yield at high rates.展开更多

Chemical synapses are considered for coupling. Each neuron is also considered to be exposed to a self-delayed feedback. The synchronization phenomenon is analyzed by the error dynamics of the response trajectories of the system. The effect of various model parameters e.g. coupling strength, feedback gain and time delay, on synchronization is also investigated and a measure of synchrony is computed in each cases. It is shown that the synchronization is not only achieved by increasing the coupling strength, the system also required to have a suitable feedback gain and time delay for synchrony. Robustness of the parameters for synchrony is verified for larger systems.展开更多
