In order to improve the low ductility of the Mo-Ni alloy,Fe is added and the effects of Ni/Fe mass ratio on the densification behavior,microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of alloy were investigated.The ...In order to improve the low ductility of the Mo-Ni alloy,Fe is added and the effects of Ni/Fe mass ratio on the densification behavior,microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of alloy were investigated.The experimental results show that when iron is added to 95Mo-5Ni alloy,the formation of brittle intermetallic phaseδ-MoNi at the grain boundary is avoided.Meanwhile,the grain growth of Mo is also effectively inhibited in the sintering process.However,the addition of iron reduces the degree of densification of alloy since the activation effect of Ni is superior to that of Fe.From the experimental results,it could be concluded that the maximum hardness and bending strength are achieved by 95Mo-1.5Ni-3.5Fe alloy,which are HV 614 and 741 MPa,respectively.Combined with the analyses of bending fracture mechanism,the improvement relative to Mo-Ni alloy is likely attributed to the inhibition of the brittle phase.展开更多

Being constructed on various kinds of hybrid grids, that is, tim...It has been evident that the theory and methods of dynamic derivatives are playing an increasingly important role in hybrid modeling and computations. Being constructed on various kinds of hybrid grids, that is, time scales, dynamic derivatives offer superior accuracy and flexibility in approximating mathematically important natural processes with hard-to-predict singularities, such as the epidemic growth with unpredictable jump sizes and option market changes with high uncertainties, as compared with conventional derivatives. In this article, we shall review the novel new concepts, explore delicate relations between the most frequently used second-order dynamic derivatives and conventional derivatives. We shall investigate necessary conditions for guaranteeing the consistency between the two derivatives. We will show that such a consistency may never exist in general. This implies that the dynamic derivatives provide entirely different new tools for sensitive modeling and approximations on hybrid grids. Rigorous error analysis will be given via asymptotic expansions for further modeling and computational applications. Numerical experiments will also be given.展开更多

We find it easier to obtain a required coupling length by controlling photo bleaching time than by controlling the dimension of the coupler. The transmittance of each arm is measured when the pulse input light energy changes in our experiment. The experimental results show that the coupling length will change with the intensity of input light due to optical nonlinearities of the polymer PMMA/DR1 at 1 064 nm.展开更多

The thermal stability, UV absorption and photoluminescent properties of this iridium complex were investigated. Compared with iridium (Ⅲ) bis[(4,6-difluorophenyl)pyridinato-N, C^2](picolinate) reported as a highly-efficient blue electroluminescent material, this iridium complex bearing an oxadiazole-based picolinic acid derivative presents higher thermal stability, more intense UV absorption at 291 nm and similar photoluminescent spectrum peaked at 469 nm. This indicates that tuning ancillary ligand of picolinic acid with an oxadiazole unit can improve the optophysical properties of its iridium complex.展开更多

These antigens PALPF are expressed o...Background: Plasmodium falciparum malaria remains a major life-threatening disease. Recently, the Plasmodium apoptosis-linked pathogenicity factors (PALPF) have been identified. These antigens PALPF are expressed only by P falciparum-infected erythrocytes triggering endothelial cell apoptosis (apoptogenic). Methods: We designed ten synthetic peptides (PI to P10) from PALPF: PF07 0032, PF10_0226, PFI0130c, PFD0875c and MAL13P1.206, and analyzed their antigenicity with an ELISA method using plasma samples from subjects living in Dienga, Gabon. Results: Four peptides showed good reactivity with human antibodies. The prevalence rate of specific IgG was 61%, 51%, 44% and 34% for P5, P6, P4 and P2, respectively. The median optical density of total IgG anti-P2 was higher than that directed against P4 and P6 (P = 0.009; P = 0.012 respectively). The prevalence rate oflgG subclasses determined with plasma samples recognizing peptide 5 for IgGl, 2, 3 and 4 isotypes was 69%, 45%, 76% and 62%, respectively. All the subjects had at least one immunoglobulin subclass, while 13 (44%) had both IgG1 and IgG3 antibodies. There was no significant difference in the prevalence rate of anti-P5 IgG1, IgG3 and IgG4. Conclusion: These results warrant further immunogenicity studies of peptides 2, 4, 5 and 6 with a view of a tentative to antimalarial vaccine development.展开更多

An analytic formula is presented for the electron flux of H2 in the presence of an electric field. The results show that the interference between the two orbits passing through the given spatial point leads to the oscillation in the electron flux distribution. Besides, the interference between the two centers of the H2^- is also very important. The comparison between the electron flux of H2^- in electric field with the result of H^- shows that at the equilibrium distance of two centers in the H2^-, the interference of the two nuclei on the detached electron's flux distribution is very strong, while at larger distance of the two centers, the interference effect of the two centers is decreased.展开更多

Firstly, instead of standard mutual information ( MI ) based on joint intensity histogram, regional mutual information ( RMI ) is employed, which allows neighborhood information to be taken into account. Secondly, a new feature images obtained by means of phase congruency are invariants to brightness or contrast changes. By incorporating these features and intensity into RMI, we can combine the aspects of both structural and neighborhood information together, which offers a more robust and a high level of registration accuracy.展开更多
The effects of solarisation using clear, UV stabilized, 25μm low density polyethylene mulching combined with soil amendment of chicken manures 12 th^-1, mixed fungicides of Metalaxyl 2 g-Benlate 1.5 g L^-l, Biocontro...The effects of solarisation using clear, UV stabilized, 25μm low density polyethylene mulching combined with soil amendment of chicken manures 12 th^-1, mixed fungicides of Metalaxyl 2 g-Benlate 1.5 g L^-l, Biocontrol agent of Trichoderma harzianum (T.h.) and NPK fertilizer 180 Kg h^-1, on the survived micro and macrocondia of Fusarium proliferatum (Matsushita) Nirenberg were ascertained during summer 2008. Mulched treatments within 45 and 60 days significantly reduced viable propagules to 6 and 3.4 × l03 cfu1 g soil, respectively at 5 cm depth followed by 15 and 30 cm soil depth. Natural heating of dry soil reduced an initial population of 76 × 10^3 to 46.73, 49 and 49.13 × 103 cfu'lg soil at 5, 15 and 30 cm depth, respectively. Therefore, Fusarium proliferatum reduced by 85.29 and 89.22% within 45 and 60 days compared to 38% in control aired soil. Application of mulching with T. harzianum caused a worthwhile reduction 84.37% in viable propagules, solar with low doses of Metalaxyl-Benlate further reduced Fusarium propagules at all depths 95.5%. Combining chicken manures proved its reduction of fungi cfu at 5 cm depth only, whereas NPK amendments failed in their reduction effects at various depths. However, almost 95% reduction in Fusarium propagules was achieved at various soil depths when combining Met.-Ben., with soil mulching. Combining T.h. was also proved to be significant in reducing fungus inoculum by 88.58, 96.06% at 5 and 15 cm depth. Generally, manures and NPK fertilizers amended soil found equally effective in reducing cfu of Fusarium at 5 and 15 cm depth similar to polyethylene mulching for both solar duration.展开更多

The ozone depletion potential (ODP) of the new re...In this paper, a new ternary non-azeotropic mixture of HFC-161/125/143a (0.15/0.45/0.40 in mass fraction), as a promising mixed refrigerant to R404A, is presented. The ozone depletion potential (ODP) of the new refrigerant is zero and its basic thermodynamic properties are similar to those of R404A, but its global warming potential (GWP) is much smaller than those of R507A and R404A. Meanwhile, theoretical calculations show that, under the working condition 1 (the average evaporation temperature: -23℃, the average condensing temperature: 43℃, the superheat temperature: 28℃, the subcooling temperature: 5 ℃), the volumetric refrigerating effect and specific refrigerating effect of the new mixture are 2.33% and 15.48% higher, re- spectively, than those of R404A. The coefficient of performance (COP) of the new mixture is 5.19% higher than that of R404A and the pressure ratio of the new mixture is 0.82% lower than that of R404A. Equally, under the working condition II (the average evaporation temperature: -40℃, the average condensing temperature: 35℃, the superheating temperature: 30 ~C, the subcooling temperature: 5℃), the volumetric refrigerating effect and specific refrigerating effect of the new mixture are 2.24% and 20.58% higher, respectively, than those of R404A. The COP of the new mixture is 4.60% higher than that of R404A and the pressure ratio of the new mixture is similar to that of R404A. The performances of the new mixture and R404A are compared in a vapor compressor refrigeration apparatus originally designed for R404A under several working conditions (condensing temperatures: 35-45℃, evaporation temperatures: -40--20℃). Experimental results show that the new mixture can obtain a higher COP, by 6.3% to 12.1%, and a lower pressure ratio, by 1.8% to 6.6%, compared to R404A; although the discharge temperature of the new mixture is slightly higher than that of R404A. The advantages of the new mixture will be further verified in the actual system.展开更多

We provide a novel treatment which removes the inconsistency by an effective bag constant. The chemical potential dependence of the renormalization subtraction point is constrained by the Cauchy condition in the chemical potential space. The stability and microscopic properties of strange quark matter are then studied within the completely self-consistent quasiparticle model, and the obtained equation of state of quark matter is applied to the investigation of strange stars. It is found that our improved model can describe well compact stars with mass about two times the solar mass, which indicates that such massive compact stars could be strange stars.展开更多

Conclusion: These results warrant further immunogenicity studies of peptides 2, 4, 5 and 6 with a view of a tentative to antimalarial vaccine development.

文摘The electron flux distributions in the photdetachment of a negative hydrogen molecular ion in an electric field have been studied by using the two-center model and the dosed orbit theory. An analytic formula is presented for the electron flux of H2 in the presence of an electric field. The results show that the interference between the two orbits passing through the given spatial point leads to the oscillation in the electron flux distribution. Besides, the interference between the two centers of the H2^- is also very important. The comparison between the electron flux of H2^- in electric field with the result of H^- shows that at the equilibrium distance of two centers in the H2^-, the interference of the two nuclei on the detached electron's flux distribution is very strong, while at larger distance of the two centers, the interference effect of the two centers is decreased.
文摘In this paper, a new approach of muhi-modality image registration is represented with not only image intensity, but also features describing image structure. There are two novelties in the proposed method. Firstly, instead of standard mutual information ( MI ) based on joint intensity histogram, regional mutual information ( RMI ) is employed, which allows neighborhood information to be taken into account. Secondly, a new feature images obtained by means of phase congruency are invariants to brightness or contrast changes. By incorporating these features and intensity into RMI, we can combine the aspects of both structural and neighborhood information together, which offers a more robust and a high level of registration accuracy.
文摘The effects of solarisation using clear, UV stabilized, 25μm low density polyethylene mulching combined with soil amendment of chicken manures 12 th^-1, mixed fungicides of Metalaxyl 2 g-Benlate 1.5 g L^-l, Biocontrol agent of Trichoderma harzianum (T.h.) and NPK fertilizer 180 Kg h^-1, on the survived micro and macrocondia of Fusarium proliferatum (Matsushita) Nirenberg were ascertained during summer 2008. Mulched treatments within 45 and 60 days significantly reduced viable propagules to 6 and 3.4 × l03 cfu1 g soil, respectively at 5 cm depth followed by 15 and 30 cm soil depth. Natural heating of dry soil reduced an initial population of 76 × 10^3 to 46.73, 49 and 49.13 × 103 cfu'lg soil at 5, 15 and 30 cm depth, respectively. Therefore, Fusarium proliferatum reduced by 85.29 and 89.22% within 45 and 60 days compared to 38% in control aired soil. Application of mulching with T. harzianum caused a worthwhile reduction 84.37% in viable propagules, solar with low doses of Metalaxyl-Benlate further reduced Fusarium propagules at all depths 95.5%. Combining chicken manures proved its reduction of fungi cfu at 5 cm depth only, whereas NPK amendments failed in their reduction effects at various depths. However, almost 95% reduction in Fusarium propagules was achieved at various soil depths when combining Met.-Ben., with soil mulching. Combining T.h. was also proved to be significant in reducing fungus inoculum by 88.58, 96.06% at 5 and 15 cm depth. Generally, manures and NPK fertilizers amended soil found equally effective in reducing cfu of Fusarium at 5 and 15 cm depth similar to polyethylene mulching for both solar duration.

文摘In this paper, a new ternary non-azeotropic mixture of HFC-161/125/143a (0.15/0.45/0.40 in mass fraction), as a promising mixed refrigerant to R404A, is presented. The ozone depletion potential (ODP) of the new refrigerant is zero and its basic thermodynamic properties are similar to those of R404A, but its global warming potential (GWP) is much smaller than those of R507A and R404A. Meanwhile, theoretical calculations show that, under the working condition 1 (the average evaporation temperature: -23℃, the average condensing temperature: 43℃, the superheat temperature: 28℃, the subcooling temperature: 5 ℃), the volumetric refrigerating effect and specific refrigerating effect of the new mixture are 2.33% and 15.48% higher, re- spectively, than those of R404A. The coefficient of performance (COP) of the new mixture is 5.19% higher than that of R404A and the pressure ratio of the new mixture is 0.82% lower than that of R404A. Equally, under the working condition II (the average evaporation temperature: -40℃, the average condensing temperature: 35℃, the superheating temperature: 30 ~C, the subcooling temperature: 5℃), the volumetric refrigerating effect and specific refrigerating effect of the new mixture are 2.24% and 20.58% higher, respectively, than those of R404A. The COP of the new mixture is 4.60% higher than that of R404A and the pressure ratio of the new mixture is similar to that of R404A. The performances of the new mixture and R404A are compared in a vapor compressor refrigeration apparatus originally designed for R404A under several working conditions (condensing temperatures: 35-45℃, evaporation temperatures: -40--20℃). Experimental results show that the new mixture can obtain a higher COP, by 6.3% to 12.1%, and a lower pressure ratio, by 1.8% to 6.6%, compared to R404A; although the discharge temperature of the new mixture is slightly higher than that of R404A. The advantages of the new mixture will be further verified in the actual system.

The topic of super congruences is related to many fields including Gauss and Jacobi sums and hypergeometric series. Our new approach is of combinatorial nature. We also formulate many conjectures concerning super congruences and relate most of them to Euler numbers or Bernoulli numbers. Motivated by our investigation of super congruences, we also raise a conjecture on 7 new series for π2, π-2 and the constant K := ∑k=1^∞(k/3)/k^2 (with (-) the Jacobi symbol), two of which are ∑k=1^∞(10k-3)8k/k2(k^2k)^2(k^3k)=π^2/2and ∑k=1^∞(15k-4)(-27)^k-1/k^3(k^2k)^2(k^3k)=K.

文摘Pure Ca-SiAlON:Eu2+ was synthesized by microwave sintering method at a relatively low temperature of 1550℃.Photoluminescence intensity of the resultant phosphor was higher than those of the samples synthesized by conventional gas-pressure sintering technique at 1750℃.When it was excited at 450 nm,the as-prepared yellow Ca-SiAlON:Eu2+ sample had an external quantum efficiency of 42%,comparable to the sample synthesized at 1750℃ under 0.5 MPaN2 gas pressure by the GPS method reported in reference.The experimental results demonstrated that the microwave sintering method was also an interesting approach for synthesizing nitride phosphors,which promises lower firing temperature than those by carbothermal reduction and nitridation (CRN) methods,higher heating rate and shorter duration time compared with those by gas-pressure sintering.

文摘π-Conjugated polymers(CPs)represent one of the quite important and rapidly growing branches of flexible electrochromic materials.Electrosynthesized hybrid CPs employing dibenzo pentacycles(fluorenes,carbazoles,dibenzothiophenes,and dibenzofuran)as the backbones have received considerable attention owing to their special structures and interesting electrochromic performances.Recent studies show that polymers from these structures exhibit decent contrast ratios,favorable coloration efficiencies,low switching voltages,fast response time,excellent stability,and color persistence.Intrinsically,their electrochromic properties significantly depend on fine-tailoring of precursor monomer structures,and polymerization techniques and conditions.This review devotes to showing a clear picture of the research progress of dibenzo pentacycle-centered CPs via electrochemical polymerization,including fluorenes,carbazoles,dibenzothiophenes,and dibenzofuran-based hybrid electrochromic polymers.Critical influences of the tailored precursor structures on their electropolymerization and resultant polymer performances are highlighted,aiming at providing an insight for the development of novel fused ring-based polymer electrochromic materials.

文摘The running of the QCD coupling in the effective mass causes thermodynamic inconsistency problem in the conventional quasiparticle model. We provide a novel treatment which removes the inconsistency by an effective bag constant. The chemical potential dependence of the renormalization subtraction point is constrained by the Cauchy condition in the chemical potential space. The stability and microscopic properties of strange quark matter are then studied within the completely self-consistent quasiparticle model, and the obtained equation of state of quark matter is applied to the investigation of strange stars. It is found that our improved model can describe well compact stars with mass about two times the solar mass, which indicates that such massive compact stars could be strange stars.
