In order to formally reason and verify web services composition described by web services choreography specification WS-CDL,a typed formal model named typed Abstract WS-CDL(web services choreography description langu...In order to formally reason and verify web services composition described by web services choreography specification WS-CDL,a typed formal model named typed Abstract WS-CDL(web services choreography description language)for WS-CDL specifications is proposed.In typed Abstract WS-CDL,the syntax of type and session,typing rules and operational semantics are formalized;the collaborations of web services are formally described by sessions;the operational semantics of a session can help to formally reason the execution of the choreography;the typing rules can help to formally check the data type consistency of exchanged information between web services and capture run-time errors due to type mismatches.Particularly,the concepts of type assumption set extension and type assumption set compatibility are proposed,and the merging algorithm of type assumption sets is defined so as to eliminate type assumption conflict.Based on the formal model,typed mapping rules for mapping web services choreography to orchestration is also defined.With the typed mapping rules,orchestration stubs and their type assumption sets can be generated from a given choreography; thus, web services composition can be verified at choreography and orchestration levels,respectively.The model is proved to have properties of type safety,and how the model can help to reason and verify web services composition is illustrated through a case study.展开更多

The oilfield has reached the final high water...We present the first successful application of three-component seismic data to thin interbedded reservoir characterization in the Daqing placanticline of the LMD oilfield. The oilfield has reached the final high water cut stage and the principal problem is how to recognize the boundaries of sand layers that are thicker than 2 m. Conventional interpretation of single PP-wave seismic data results in multiple solutions, whereas the introduction of PS-wave enhances the reliability of interpretation. We analyze the gas reservoir characteristics by joint PP- and PS-waves, and use the amplitude and frequency decomposition attributes to delineate the gas reservoir boundaries because of the minimal effect of fl uids on S-wave. We perform joint inversion of PP- and PS-waves to obtain V P/V S, λρ, and μρ and map the lithology changes by using density, λρ, and μρ. The 3D–3C attribute λρ slices describe the sand layers distribution, while considering the well log data, and point to favorable region for tapping the remaining oil.展开更多
Thermal treatment technologies hold an important niche in the remediation of hydrocarbon- contaminated soils and sediments due to their ability to quickly and reliably meet cleanup standards. However, sustained high t...Thermal treatment technologies hold an important niche in the remediation of hydrocarbon- contaminated soils and sediments due to their ability to quickly and reliably meet cleanup standards. However, sustained high temperature can be energy intensive and can damage soil properties. Despite the broad applicability and prevalence of thermal remediation, little work has been done to improve the environmental compatibility and sustainahility of these technologies. We review several common thermal treatment technologies for hydrocarbon-contaminated soils, assess their potential environmental impacts, and propose frameworks for sustainable and low-impact deployment based on a holistic consideration of energy and water requirements, ecosystem ecology, and soil science. There is no universally appropriate thermal treatment technology. Rather, the appropriate choice depends on the contamination scenario (including the type of hydrocarbons present) and on site-specific considerations such as soil properties, water availability, and the heat sensitivity of contaminated soils. Overall, the convergence of treatment process engineering with soil science, ecosystem ecology, and plant biology research is essential to fill critical knowledge gaps and improve both the removal efficiency and sustainability of thermal technologies.展开更多

As the risin...Gas fluidization has an ability to turn static particles to fluid-like dense flow, which allows greatly improved heat transfer among porous powders and highly efficient solid processing to become reality. As the rising star of current scientific research, some nanoparticles can also be fluidized in the form of agglomerates, with sizes ranging from tens to hundreds of microns. Herein, we have reviewed the recent progress on nanomaterial agglomeration and their fluidization behavior, the assisted techniques to enhance the fluidization of nanomaterials,including some mechanical measures, external fields and improved gas injections, as well as their effects on solid fluidization and mixing behaviors. Most of these techniques are effective in breaking large agglomerates and promoting particulate fluidization, meanwhile, the solid mixing is intensified under assisted fluidization. The applications of nanofluidization in nanostructured material production and sustainable chemical industry are further presented. In summary, the fluidization science of multidimensional, multicomponent and multifunctional particles, their multi-phase characterization, and the guideline of fluidized bed coupled process are prerequisites for the sustainable development of fluidized bed based materials, energy and chemical industry.展开更多
Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)consist of a great deal of sensor nodes with limited power,computation,storage,sensing and communication capabilities.Data aggregation is a very important technique,which is designed to s...Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)consist of a great deal of sensor nodes with limited power,computation,storage,sensing and communication capabilities.Data aggregation is a very important technique,which is designed to substantially reduce the communication overhead and energy expenditure of sensor node during the process of data collection in a WSNs.However,privacy-preservation is more challenging especially in data aggregation,where the aggregators need to perform some aggregation operations on sensing data it received.We present a state-of-the art survey of privacy-preserving data aggregation in WSNs.At first,we classify the existing privacy-preserving data aggregation schemes into different categories by the core privacy-preserving techniques used in each scheme.And then compare and contrast different algorithms on the basis of performance measures such as the privacy protection ability,communication consumption,power consumption and data accuracy etc.Furthermore,based on the existing work,we also discuss a number of open issues which may intrigue the interest of researchers for future work.展开更多
Objective To investigate the clinical and genetic features of a Chinese family with yon Hippel- Lindau (VHL) disease revealed by bilateral pheochromocytoma. Methods The proband and other members in a Chinese family...Objective To investigate the clinical and genetic features of a Chinese family with yon Hippel- Lindau (VHL) disease revealed by bilateral pheochromocytoma. Methods The proband and other members in a Chinese family with familial pheochromocytoma were clinically evaluated and followed up. Genomic DNA extracted from the peripheral blood of 8 family members (including 3 patients) was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the PCR products were directly sequenced. Results The first presentation in the proband, his mother, and his sister was bilateral pheochromocytoma, and the missense mutation of 695G-A (Arg161Gln) in exon 3 of VHL gene was detected in the three patients. In the follow-up study, the proband and his mother were found to have other VHL tumors, induding retinal and cerebellar hemangioblastomas and pancreatic tumor. Neither clinical presentation of VHL disease nor gene mutation was found in other family members. Conclusion VHL disease should be suspected in some patients with familial pheochromocytoma, and VHL gene screening helps to achieve early diagnosis of the disease.展开更多

The interpretation of the above mentioned matters, as well as the understanding of charterparty terms, is considered of critical importance in chartering practice. Therefore, this paper constitutes a review of the most important aspects arising from charterparties in the main types of charter. The present study is based on shipping practices followed in accordance with the English Common Law throughout the chartering process (pre-fixture, fixture, execution of the charter, post fixture). This is a synopsis about the distribution of the liabilities and expenses between the shipowner and the charterer in the most representative types of charter. The analysis is seen from a commercial stand point. Therefore, it is mostly addressed to the shipping practitioners, maritime economists, academics, students and researchers who seek to form a comprehensive view on the subject. Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles with diameters varying from 10 to 426 nm were synthesized and characterized.Heating effects of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles under radiofrequency capacitive field(RCF) with frequency of 27....Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles with diameters varying from 10 to 426 nm were synthesized and characterized.Heating effects of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles under radiofrequency capacitive field(RCF) with frequency of 27.12 MHz and power of 60-150 W were investigated.When the power of RCF is lower than 90 W,temperatures of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles(75-150 mg/mL) can be raised and maximal temperatures are all lower than 50 ℃.When the power of RCF is 90-150 W,temperatures of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles can be quickly raised and are all obviously higher than those of normal saline and distilled water under the same conditions.Temperature of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles can even reach 70.2 ℃ under 150 W RCF.Heating effects of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles are related to RCF power,particle size and particle concentration.展开更多

Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome(SRUS) is a benign and chronic disorder well known in young adults and less in children.It is often related to prolonged excessive straining or abnormal defecation and clinically presents...Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome(SRUS) is a benign and chronic disorder well known in young adults and less in children.It is often related to prolonged excessive straining or abnormal defecation and clinically presents as rectal bleeding,copious mucus discharge,feeling of incomplete defecation,and rarely rectal prolapse.SRUS is diagnosed based on clinical symptoms and endoscopic and histological findings.The current treatments are suboptimal,and despite correct diagnosis,outcomes can be unsatisfactory.Some treatment protocols for SRUS include conservative management such as family reassurance,regulation of toilet habits,avoidance of straining,encouragement of a high-fiber diet,topical treatments with salicylate,sulfasalazine,steroids and sucralfate,and surgery.In children,SRUS is relatively uncommon but troublesome and easily misdiagnosed with other common diseases,however,it is being reported more than in the past.This condition in children is benign;however,morbidity is an important problem as reflected by persistence of symptoms,especially rectal bleeding.In this review,we discuss current diagnosis and treatment for SRUS.展开更多
Hydropower is a clean,renewable,and environmentally friendly source of energy.It produces 3930(TW·h)·a–1,and yields 16% of the world's generated electricity and about 78% of renewable electricity genera...Hydropower is a clean,renewable,and environmentally friendly source of energy.It produces 3930(TW·h)·a–1,and yields 16% of the world's generated electricity and about 78% of renewable electricity generation(in 2015).Hydropower and climate change show a double relationship.On the one hand,as an important renewable energy resource,hydropower contributes significantly to the avoidance of greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions and to the mitigation of global warming.On the other hand,climate change is likely to alter river discharge,impacting water availability and hydropower generation.Hydropower contributes significantly to the reduction of GHG emissions and to energy supply security.Compared with conventional coal power plants,hydropower prevents the emission of about 3 GT CO2 per year,which represents about 9% of global annual CO2 emissions.Hydropower projects may also have an enabling role beyond the electricity sector,as a financing instrument for multipurpose reservoirs and as an adaptive measure regarding the impacts of climate change on water resources,because regulated basins with large reservoir capacities are more resilient to water resource changes,less vulnerable to climate change,and act as a storage buffer against climate change.At the global level,the overall impact of climate change on existing hydropower generation may be expected to be small,or even slightly positive.However,there is the possibility of substantial variations across regions and even within countries.In conclusion,the general verdict on hydropower is that it is a cheap and mature technology that contributes significantly to climate change mitigation,and could play an important role in the climate change adaptation of water resource availability.However,careful attention is necessary to mitigate the substantial environmental and social costs.Roughly more than a terawatt of capacity could be added in upcoming decades.展开更多

In recent years the issue of corporate governance and committees related to it and their impacts on corporate performance have continued to gain widespread prominence in the capital market economy. Corporate Governance Rating is meant to indicate the relative level to which an organisation accepts and follows the codes and guidelines of corporate governance practices. The purpose of the paper is to examine the rating reports of 27 companies which have obtained the corporate governance rating by rating agencies. The study highlights that the "stakeholders" sections of the reports are the most powerful part of the reports whereas the "board of directors" sections are the weakest. Potential areas for improvements are also identified.展开更多

文摘Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles with diameters varying from 10 to 426 nm were synthesized and characterized.Heating effects of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles under radiofrequency capacitive field(RCF) with frequency of 27.12 MHz and power of 60-150 W were investigated.When the power of RCF is lower than 90 W,temperatures of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles(75-150 mg/mL) can be raised and maximal temperatures are all lower than 50 ℃.When the power of RCF is 90-150 W,temperatures of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles can be quickly raised and are all obviously higher than those of normal saline and distilled water under the same conditions.Temperature of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles can even reach 70.2 ℃ under 150 W RCF.Heating effects of Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles are related to RCF power,particle size and particle concentration.

Some important aspects of further research are proposed for improving both theories and production.

文摘Dense captioning aims to simultaneously localize and describe regions-of-interest(RoIs)in images in natural language.Specifically,we identify three key problems:1)dense and highly overlapping RoIs,making accurate localization of each target region challenging;2)some visually ambiguous target regions which are hard to recognize each of them just by appearance;3)an extremely deep image representation which is of central importance for visual recognition.To tackle these three challenges,we propose a novel end-to-end dense captioning framework consisting of a joint localization module,a contextual reasoning module and a deep convolutional neural network(CNN).We also evaluate five deep CNN structures to explore the benefits of each.Extensive experiments on visual genome(VG)dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach,which compares favorably with the state-of-the-art methods.
文摘Many graphics and computer-aided design applications require that the polygonal meshes used in geometric computing have the properties of not only 2-manifold but also are orientable. In this paper, by collecting previous work scattered in the topology and geometry literature, we rigorously present a theoretical basis for orientable polygonal surface representation from a modem point of view. Based on the presented basis, we propose a new combinatorial data structure that can guarantee the property of orientable 2-manifolds and is primal/dual efficient. Comparisons with other widely used data structures are also presented in terms of time and space efficiency.
文摘Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome(SRUS) is a benign and chronic disorder well known in young adults and less in children.It is often related to prolonged excessive straining or abnormal defecation and clinically presents as rectal bleeding,copious mucus discharge,feeling of incomplete defecation,and rarely rectal prolapse.SRUS is diagnosed based on clinical symptoms and endoscopic and histological findings.The current treatments are suboptimal,and despite correct diagnosis,outcomes can be unsatisfactory.Some treatment protocols for SRUS include conservative management such as family reassurance,regulation of toilet habits,avoidance of straining,encouragement of a high-fiber diet,topical treatments with salicylate,sulfasalazine,steroids and sucralfate,and surgery.In children,SRUS is relatively uncommon but troublesome and easily misdiagnosed with other common diseases,however,it is being reported more than in the past.This condition in children is benign;however,morbidity is an important problem as reflected by persistence of symptoms,especially rectal bleeding.In this review,we discuss current diagnosis and treatment for SRUS.
文摘Hydropower is a clean,renewable,and environmentally friendly source of energy.It produces 3930(TW·h)·a–1,and yields 16% of the world's generated electricity and about 78% of renewable electricity generation(in 2015).Hydropower and climate change show a double relationship.On the one hand,as an important renewable energy resource,hydropower contributes significantly to the avoidance of greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions and to the mitigation of global warming.On the other hand,climate change is likely to alter river discharge,impacting water availability and hydropower generation.Hydropower contributes significantly to the reduction of GHG emissions and to energy supply security.Compared with conventional coal power plants,hydropower prevents the emission of about 3 GT CO2 per year,which represents about 9% of global annual CO2 emissions.Hydropower projects may also have an enabling role beyond the electricity sector,as a financing instrument for multipurpose reservoirs and as an adaptive measure regarding the impacts of climate change on water resources,because regulated basins with large reservoir capacities are more resilient to water resource changes,less vulnerable to climate change,and act as a storage buffer against climate change.At the global level,the overall impact of climate change on existing hydropower generation may be expected to be small,or even slightly positive.However,there is the possibility of substantial variations across regions and even within countries.In conclusion,the general verdict on hydropower is that it is a cheap and mature technology that contributes significantly to climate change mitigation,and could play an important role in the climate change adaptation of water resource availability.However,careful attention is necessary to mitigate the substantial environmental and social costs.Roughly more than a terawatt of capacity could be added in upcoming decades.
文摘The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) defines corporate governance as, "the way in which boards oversee the running of a company by its managers, and how board members are in turn accountable to shareholders and the company." In recent years the issue of corporate governance and committees related to it and their impacts on corporate performance have continued to gain widespread prominence in the capital market economy. Corporate Governance Rating is meant to indicate the relative level to which an organisation accepts and follows the codes and guidelines of corporate governance practices. The purpose of the paper is to examine the rating reports of 27 companies which have obtained the corporate governance rating by rating agencies. The study highlights that the "stakeholders" sections of the reports are the most powerful part of the reports whereas the "board of directors" sections are the weakest. Potential areas for improvements are also identified.
