The simulation results show that Al concentration has important effects on the precipitation sequence. When Al concentration in Ni75AlxV25-x alloy is low, 0(Ni3V) ordered phase will be firstly precipitated, followed by γ'(Ni3Al) ordered phase. With Al concentration increasing, θ and γ' ordered phases are simultaneously precipitated. With A1 concentration further increasing, γ' ordered phase is firstly precipitated, followed by θ ordered phase. There is a competition relationship between θ and γ' ordered phases during growth and coarsening process. No matter which first precipitates, θ ordered phase always occupies advantage in the competition process of coarsening, thus, the microstructure with preferred orientation is formed.展开更多

Electrochemical measurement by cyclic potentiodynamic polarization, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive spectroscopy were employed to characterize corrosion morphology and to realize corrosion mechanism of weld regions as opposed to the parent alloy. The microstructure and shear strength of welded joint were fully investigated. The results indicate that, compared with the parent alloy, the weld regions are susceptible to intergranular and pitting attacks in the test solution during immersion time. The obtained results of lap shear testing disclose that tensile shear strength of the welds is 128 MPa which is more than 60% of the strength of parent alloy in lap shear testing. Electrochemical results show that the protection potentials of the WNZ and HAZ regions are more negative than the pitting potential. This means that the WNZ and HAZ regions do not show more tendencies to pitting corrosion. Corrosion resistance of parent alloy is higher than that for the weldments, and the lowest corrosion resistance is related to the heat affected zone. The pitting attacks originate from the edge of intermetallic particles as the cathode compared with the Al matrix due to their high self-corrosion potential. It is supposed that by increasing intermetallic particle distributed throughout the matrix of weld regions, the galvanic corrosion couples are increased, and hence decrease the corrosion resistance of weld regions.展开更多

Typical semisolid microstructure with globular solid particles distributed in the liquid matrix is obtained over 600 ℃. The solid content of (Gd+Y) in the primary a-Mg particles decreases with increasing the semisolid temperature. With the prolongation of isothermal holding time, the liquid fraction does not change significantly, while the grains grow up and spheroidize. Three methods used to determine the liquid fraction as a function of temperature, namely quantitative metallography on quenched microstructures, cooling curve thermal analysis, and thermodynamic calculations were further compared.展开更多

The fine a aggregates are uniformly formed within fl grains by nucleating at the to particles or β/ω interfaces. At higher temperature, the formation of to phase is avoided and the a lamellae are precipitated at the preferred site of grain boundary and then within the matrix. The highest hardness values are found when the alloys are aged at 450 ℃ for fl condition and 350 ℃ for (α+β) condition.展开更多

We prepared these electrodes by galvanostatic deposition and the surface morphologies and compositions of electrodes were determined by energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). Cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometric methods were employed to characterize the oxidation process and its kinetics. Voltammetric studies exhibit one pair of well-defined redox peaks, which is ascribed to the redox process of the nickel and followed by the greatly enhanced current response of the anodic peak in the presence of contraflam and a decrease in the corresponding cathodic current peak. This indicates that the immobilized redox mediator on the electrode surface was oxidized contraflam via an electrocatalytic mechanism. The catalytic currents increased linearly with the concentration of contraflam in the range of 0.25– 1.5 mmol/L. The anodic peak currents were linearly proportional to the square root of scan rate. This behaviour is the characteristic of a diffusion-controlled process. The determination of contraflam in capsules is applied satisfactorily by modified electrode.展开更多

The pre-oxidation was performed by heating the specimens, buried in silica powder and encapsulated in a silica tube under a vacuum of 1.3x10-5 Pa at 950℃ for 12 h. Experimental results showed that the preoxidized sample exhibited much higher liquid zinc corrosion resistance than that for the comparative samples. This excellent liquid zinc corrosion resistance was attributed to the formation of high-quality oxide scale during peroxidation. The corrosion of all the samples in liquid zinc was caused by a localized breakdown in the oxide scales. The continuous and dense oxide scale formed during preoxidation substantially may prevent the liquid zinc from diffusing to the substrate, and its good continuity may also reduce the possibility of localized breakdown in the oxide scale.展开更多

To obtain 2D TMDs with specific phases, it is important to develop phase engineering strategies including phase transition and phaseselective synthesis. Phase transition is a conventional method to transform one phase to another, while phase-selective synthesis means the direct fabrication of the target phases for2D TMDs. In this review, we introduce the structures and stability of 2D TMDs with different phases. Then, we summarize the detailed processes and mechanism of the traditional phase transition strategies. Moreover, in view of the increasing demand of high-phase purity TMDs, we present the advanced phase-selective synthesis strategies. Finally, we underline the challenges and outlooks of phase engineering of 2D TMDs in two aspects-high phase purity and excellent controllability. This review may promote the development of controllable phase engineering for 2D TMDs and even other2D materials toward both fundamental studies and practical applications.展开更多

文摘Oxidation of metallic glasses has been shown to be different from crystalline alloys due to the disordered atomic structures and far-from-equilibrium state, and quick characterization is required to reveal their early stage oxidation. In this study,we investigated the oxidation behavior of a Zr_(46)Cu_(46)Al_(7)Gd_(1)bulk metallic glass by measuring the changes of optical constants via spectroscopic ellipsometry.Characterizations with X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and thermogravimetric analyzer confirmed that the changes of pseudo-optical constants reflected not only the onset temperature at which the alloys underwent obvious oxidation, but also the subtle oxidation which was tedious to characterize. Our study suggests a more efficient and accurate approach to understand the oxidation of metallic glasses with temperature, time and compositions.

文摘Two-dimensional(2D) transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs) have gained much attention in virtue of their various atomic configurations and band structures.Apart from those thermodynamically stable phases, plenty of metastable phases exhibit interesting properties. This review may promote the development of controllable phase engineering for 2D TMDs and even other2D materials toward both fundamental studies and practical applications.
