It is also a very effective way to resolve the problem of low identification rate and low stability of single biology characteristic identification. Based on the theory of fuzzy logic theory, we bring out the method of obfuscating weigh coefficient and reliability to fuse the information of fingerprints and palm prints to realize high identification rate. The experiment proves the feasibility and effectiveness of this method and the identification rate can be more than 90%, which contributes useful experience to the research of identification using biology characteristics.展开更多

Using both experimental and phenomeno- logical numerical techniques, here we show that the onset of a periodic two-state acoustic synchronous behavior in cicada chorus depends on a critical size of population Nc=21, above which a typical chorus state appears periodically with a 30 second-silence state in between, and further clarify its possibility concerning a new class of phase transition, which is unusually driven by population. This work has relevance to acoustic synchronization and to general physics of phase transition.展开更多

The nuclear area represents a segment of energy production used by many countries in America, Europe and Asia. It is known that in the future nuclear energy can be a major exit to the global energy crisis. The aim of this research was to use the BSC (Balanced Scorecard) as a strategic tool for decision making in a teaching and research institution of the nuclear area--IPEN (Nuclear and Energy Research Institute), located in the city of Sao Paulo, which belongs to the CNEN (National Nuclear Energy Commission) in Brazil. The methodology used in this academic doctoral study was a case study, which considered the period of research from December 2012 to December 2015. The main results expected from this case study are: the improvement of information flow, the view, the increased visibility of an organization providing education and especially research in relation to published works, increased interaction among IPEN and the main global research institutes and centers, increasing academic production of technical articles, indicator improvement, improving the monitoring of management actions, among others. Given the expected results one can conclude that this study will be of great value to the IPEN and also for the Brazilian energy sector, as it will allow and contribute to the dissemination and demystification of nuclear power as an energy source of mankind, its peaceful applications and for the management activity of knowledge and innovation production in the nuclear area of IPEN.展开更多

The distributed finite-time consensus protocol is based on full order sliding surface and super twisting algorithm. The nominal consensus control for the MASs is designed based on the geometric homogeneous finite time control technique. The chattering is avoided by designing a full order sliding surface. The switching control is constructed by integrating super twisting algorithm, hence a chattering alleviation protocol is obtained to maintain a smooth control input. The finite time convergence analysis for the leader follower network is presented by using strict Lyapunov function. Finally, the numerical simulations validate the proposed homogeneous full-order sliding mode control for higher-order MASs.展开更多

In order to prevent man-in-middle attacks, non-malleability is taken into account. Many forming works focus on designing non-malleable commitments schemes based on number theory assumptions. In this paper we give a general framework to construct non- interactive and non-malleable commitment scheme with respect to opening based on more general assumptions called q-one way group homomorphisms (q-OWGH). Our scheme is more general since many existing commitment schemes can be deduced from our scheme.展开更多
