Qingshankou shale(Gulong area,China)exhibits strong acoustic anisotropy characteristics,posing significant challenges to its exploration and development.In this study,the five full elastic constants and multipole response law of the Qingshankou shale were studied using experimental measurements.Analyses show that the anisotropy parametersϵandγin the study region are greater than 0.4,whereas the anisotropy parameterδis smaller,generally 0.1.Numerical simulations show that the longitudinal and transverse wave velocities of these strong anisotropic rocks vary significantly with inclination angle,and significant differences in group velocity and phase velocity are also present.Acoustic logging measures the group velocity in dipped boreholes;this differs from the phase velocity to some extent.As the dip angle increases,the longitudinal and SH wave velocities increase accordingly,while the qSV-wave velocity initially increases and then decreases,reaching its maximum value at a dip of approximately 40°.These results provide an effective guide for the correction and modeling of acoustic logging time differences in the region. 展开更多

The design of an FPGA( field programmable gate array) based programmable SONET (synchronous optical network) OC-192 10 Gbit/s PRBS (pseudo-random binary sequence) generator and a bit interleaved polarity 8 (BIP-8) error detector is presented. Implemented in a parallel feedback configuration, this tester features PRBS generation of sequences with bit lengths of 2^7 - 1,2^10- 1,2^15 - 1,2^23 - land 2^31 - 1 for up to 10 Gbit/s applications with a 10 Gbit/s optical transceiver, via the SFI-4 (OC-192 serdes-framer interface). In the OC-192 frame alignment circuit, a dichotomy search algorithm logic which performs the functions of word alignment and STM-64/OC192 de-frame speeds up the frame sync logic and reduces circuit complexity greatly. The system can be used as a low cost tester to evaluate the performance of OC-192 devices and components, taking the replacement of precious commercial PRBS testers. 展开更多

Morphology of the male reproductive system, chromosome behaviors during meiosis and spem tail structures in Homoptera and Heteroptera are compared in this paper. The sheathed testis is found in Fulgoroidea and Heteroptera, and unsheathed testis occurs in Cicadoidea, Cicadelloidea, Cercopoidea, Membracoidea, Psyloidea, Aphidoidea, Aleyrodoidea and Coccoidea. The testis also can be divide into three types by the shape of testicular follicles. The sphere-shaped type is found in Cicadoidea, Cicadelloidea, Cercopoidea, Membracoidea, Aphidoidea and Aleyrodoidea, the tube-shaped type observed in Fulgoroidea, Psyloidea and Coccoidea, and the lamella-shaped type represented by Heteroptera. It is suggested the unsheathed testis may be the primitive type in Homoptera. Meiosis can be divided into 6 type at least, i.e. 1) Cicadoid type; 2) Fulgoroid type; 3) Psyloid type; 4) Aphidoid type; 5) Aleyrodoid type; and 6) Coccoid type. At least four groups exhibit a diffuse stage during meiosis prophase l, they are Psyloidea, Fulgoroidea, Coccoidea and Heteroptera. Sperm tail structures are similar to those reported from other insects with a typical 9+9+2 axoneme except that in Aleyrodoidea and Coccoidea whose sperm tail is degenerated. 展开更多

Redundancy-synergy coefficient, a novel redundancy and synergy measure of features to express the class feature, is defined by mutual information. The information maximization rule was applied to derive the heuristic feature subset selection method based on mutual information and redundancy-synergy coefficient. Lidar has been used extensively in the area of atmospheric aerosol measurement.Two unknowns at the reference altitude,the lidar ratio and the backscatter coefficient,need to be resolved from the lidar equation.In the actual application,these two values are difficult to obtain,particularly the backscatter coefficient.To better characterize the optical properties of aerosols,optical thickness,and attenuated backscatter obtained by other instruments are usually used as the input for joint inversion.However,this method is limited by location and time.In this study,the authors propose a new method for aerosol retrieval by using Mie scattering lidar data to solve this problem.The authors take the horizontal aerosol extinction coefficient as the constraint to begin the iteration until a self-consistent aerosol vertical profile was obtained.By comparing their results with Aerosol Robotic Network(AERONET) data,the authours determine that the aerosol extinction coefficient obtained by combining horizontal and vertical lidar observations is more precise than that obtained by using the traditional Fernald method.This new method has been adopted for retrieving the extinction coefficient of aerosols during the observation days. 展开更多

In this paper, a bidirectional partial generalized (lag, complete, and anticipated) synchronization of a class of continuous-time systems is defined. Then based on the active control idea, a new systematic and concrete scheme is developed to achieve bidirectional partial generalized (lag, complete, and anticipated) synchronization between two chaotic systems or between chaotic and hyperchaotic systems. With the help of symbolic-numerical computation, we choose the modified Chua system, Lorenz system, and the hyperchaotic Tamasevicius Namajunas-Cenys system to illustrate the proposed scheme. Numerical simulations are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. It is interesting that partial chaos synchronization not only can take place between two chaotic systems, but also can take place between chaotic and hyperchaotic systems. The proposed scheme can also be extended to research bidirectional partial generalized (lag, complete, and anticipated) synchronization between other dynamical systems. 展开更多

The performance of a joint data assimilation system(Tan-Tracker),which is based on the PODEn4 Dvar assimilation method,in assimilating Greenhouse gases Observing SATellite(GOSAT) carbon dioxide(CO2) data,was evaluated.Atmospheric 3D CO2 concentrations and CO2 surface fluxes(CFs) from2010 were simulated using a global chemistry transport model(GEOS-Chem).TheTan-Tracker system used the simulated CO2 concentrations and fluxes as a background field and assimilated the GOSAT column average dry-air mole fraction of CO2(X(CO2)) data to optimize CO2 concentrations and CFs in the same assimilation window.Monthly simulated X(CO2)(X(CO2)Sim)) and assimilated X(CO2)(X(CO2),TT) data retrieved at different satellite scan positions were compared with GOSAT-observed X(CO2)(X(CO2),obs)data.The average RMSE between the monthly X(CO2),TT and X(CO2),Obs data was significantly(30%) lower than the average RMSE between X(CO2),Sim and X(CO2),Obs).Specifically,reductions in error were found for the positions of northern Africa(the Sahara),the Indian peninsula,southern Africa,southern North America,and western Australia.The difference between the correlation coefficients of the X(CO2),Sim)and X(CO2),Obs and those of the X(CO2)Π),TT and X(CO2),Obs was only small.In general,the Tan-Tracker system performed very well after assimilating the GOSAT data. 展开更多

Numerical simulations show that both methods can effectively enhance the synchronizability of this kind of networks. In this paper numerical analysis of underground structures, taking account the transverse isotropy system of rocks, was done using CAST 3M code by varying the shape of excavation and the coefficient of earth pressure k. Numerical results reveal that the anisotropy behavior, the shape of hole and the coefficient of earth pressure k have significant influence to the mining induced stress field and rock deformations which directly control the stability of underground excavation design. The magnitude of horizontal stress obtained for the horse shoe shape excavation(25.2 MPa for k = 1; 52.7 MPa for k = 2)is lower than the magnitude obtained for circular hole(26.4 MPa for k = 1; 59.5 MPa for k = 2).Therefore, we have concluded that the horse shoe shape offers the best stability and the best design for engineer. The anisotropy system presented by rock mass can also influence the redistribution of stresses around hole opened. Numerical results have revealed that the magnitude of redistribution of horizontal stresses obtained for transverse isotropic rock(12.1 MPa for k = 0.5; 25.2 MPa for k = 1 and52.7 MPa for k = 2) is less than those obtained in the case of isotropic rock(27.6 MPa for k = 1;48.6 MPa for k = 2 and 90.81 MPa for k = 2). The more the rock has the anisotropic behavior, the more the mass of rock around the tunnel is stable. 展开更多

To improve the accuracy of real-time public transport information release system, a collaborative prediction model was proposed based on cyber-physical systems architecture. In the model, the total bus travel time was divided into three parts: running time, dwell time and intersection delay time, and the data were divided into three categories of historical data, static data and real-time data. The bus arrival time was obtained by fusion computing the real-time data in perception layer together with historical data and static data in collaborative layer. The validity of the collaborative model was verified by the data of a typical urban bus line in Shanghai, and 1538 sets of data were collected and analyzed from three different perspectives. By comparing the experimental results with the actual results, it is shown that the experimental results are with higher prediction accuracy, and the collaborative prediction model adopted is able to meet the demand for bus arrival prediction. 展开更多

The present work is concerned with extracting information about intermolecular potential energies of binary mixtures of CO2 with C2H6, C3H8, n-C4Hlo and iso-C4Hlo, by the usage of the inversion method, and then predicting the dilute gas transport properties of the mixtures. Using the inverted pair potential energies, the Chap- man-Enskog version of the kinetic theory was applied to calculate transport properties, except thermal conductivity of mixtures. The calculation of thermal conductivity through the methods of Schreiber et al. and Uribe et al. was discussed. Calculations were performed over a wide temperature range and equimolar composition. Rather accurate correlations for the viscosity coefficients of the mixtures in the temperature range were reproduced from the pre- sent unlike intermolecular potential energies. Our estimated accuracies for the viscosity are within ±2%. Acceptable agreement between the predicted values of the viscosity and thermal conductivity with the literature values demon- strates the predictive power of the inversion scheme. In the case of thermal conductivity our results are in favor of the preference of Uribe et al.'s method over Schreiber et al.'s scheme. 展开更多
