The study selected several mainstream machine translation software in the market and evaluated the translation results in depth through the case study method. The analysis focuses on the mistranslation of proper nouns, the appropriateness of vocabulary selection, the handling of complex sentences, and the degree of dependence of the translated text on the structure of the original text. The findings show that although machine translation has significant advantages in improving translation efficiency, its translations still have deficiencies in terms of accuracy and fluency. In response to the problems identified, this paper proposes a series of post-editing suggestions aimed at optimizing translation quality.展开更多

Accord-ing to the latest World Migration Report 2022, China is ranked as the fourth largest country of emi-gration, which poses a huge challenge to translators responsible for translating emigration applica-tion documents, both in volume and speed. Nowadays, with the assistance of advanced technologies like artificial intelligence and big data;however, post-editing of machine translation (MTPE) can ef-fectively accelerate the translation of emigration application documents and improve translation quality, thus improving the work efficiency of translators. The paper tries to discuss the application of MTPE in the translation of emigration materials, and summarize some common post-editing methods and strategies learned from the author’s translating experience in the well-known domes-tic emigration platform “Immiknow” (www.immiknow.com), expecting to provide efficient post-editing techniques, and then improve the efficiency of the emigration application work as well as the acceptance for applicants.展开更多
