Mobile sink is the challenging task for wireless sensor networks(WSNs).In this paper we propose to design an efficient routing protocol for single mobile sink and multiple mobile sink for data gathering in WSN.In this process,a biased random walk method is used to determine the next position of the sink.Then,a rendezvous point selection with splitting tree technique is used to find the optimal data transmission path.If the sink moves within the range of the rendezvous point,it receives the gathered data and if moved out,it selects a relay node from its neighbours to relay packets from rendezvous point to the sink.Proposed algorithm reduces the signal overhead and improves the triangular routing problem.Here the sink acts as a vehicle and collect the data from the sensor.The results show that the proposed model effectively supports sink mobility with low overhead and delay when compared with Intelligent Agent-based Routing protocol(IAR) and also increases the reliability and delivery ratio when the number of sources increases. 展开更多

The 5' fragment (1 647 bp) of the cotton glucuronosyltransferase gene (GhGlcAT1) was transcriptionally fused to the β-glucuronidase (GUS) gene, and functionally analyzed for important regulatory regions controlling gene expression in transgenic tobacco plants. GUS activity analysis revealed that the full-length promoter drives efficient expression of the GUS gene in the root cap, seed coat, pollen grains and trichomes. Exposure of the transgenic tobacco to various abiotic stresses showed that the promoter was mainly responsive to the sugars (glucose and sucrose) as well as gibberellic acid. Progressive upstream deletion analyses of the promoter showed that the region from -281 to +30 bp is sufficient to drive strong GUS expression in the trichomes of shoot, suggesting that the 311 bp region contains all cis-elements needed for trichome-specific expression. Furthermore, deletion analysis also revealed that the essential cis-element(s) for sucrose induction might be located between -635 and -281 bp. In addition, sequence analysis of the regulatory region indicated several conserved motifs among which some were shared with previously reported seed-specific elements and sugarresponsive elements, while others were related with trichome expression. These findings indicate that a 1 647-bp fragment of the cotton GhGIcAT1 promoter contains specific transcription regulatory elements, and provide clues about the roles of GhGIcAT 1 in cotton fiber development. Further analyses of these elements will help to elucidate the molecular mechanisms regulating the expression of the GhGlcAT1 gene during fiber elongation. 展开更多

This paper reports the results of tests on the performances of a six row pneumatic precision drill in which the depression into each sowing unit is created by means of flexible pipes that do not start directly from the fan, as in most pneumatic drills, but from an air duct having the function of uniformly distributing the air flow along the working width. Field tests have been conducted, using three graded seeds, to evaluate the accuracy of the single seed metering system, according to ISO 7256/1 standard, and the uniformity of negative pressure, through the measurement of the distance between seeds in the furrow, under two speed conditions (5 and 8 km bl). 展开更多

Firstly, the sites of warehouse robots and the order picking tasks are given and the task assignment problem for picking one order is formulated into a mathematical model to minimize the total operation cost. Then a heuristic algorithm is designed to solve the task assignment problem for picking multiple orders. Finally, simulations are done by using the orders data of online bookstore A. The results show that using the heuristic algorithm of this paper to assign robots, the cost was reduced by 2% and it can effectively avoid far route and unbalanced workload of robots. The feasibility and validity of the model and algorithm are verified. The model and algorithm in this paper provide a theoretical basis to solve the TARSWE. 展开更多

A calculation for total cross section of ^-pp and pp is performed in which the contributions from gluon-gluon, quark-quark, and gluon-quark interactions are included. Our results show that the QCD inspired model gives a perfect fit to experimental data of total cross section both for ^-pp and pp elastic scatterings at the whole energy region where experimental data existed at FNAL and CERN. 展开更多

A 5' flank sequence of the Nanog gene has been reported to be regulated differentially, and two regulatory elements within the Nanog promoter, namely Oct-4 and Sox-2 binding sites, have been identified to regulate the transcriptional activity ofNanog gene. In this report, we identified the role of two putative Spl binding sites located in the Nanog gene 5'-flanking region in regulation ofmurine Nanog gene transcription. Mutation studies showed that the two sites were essential for the Nanog promoter activity. Gel shift and supershift analysis showed that both sites specifically bind Spl and Sp3. Furthermore, overexpression of dominant-negative Spl or Sp3 mutants significantly inhibits Nanog promoter activity. These results suggest that the transcription factor Spl and Sp3 are important for Murine Nanog gene expression. 展开更多

In recent years,using message ferries as mechanical carriers of data has been shown to be an effective way to collect information in sparse wireless sensor networks.As the sensors are far away from each other in such highly partitioned scenario,a message ferry needs to travel a long route to access all the sensors and carry the data collected from the sensors to the sink.Typically,practical constraints(e.g.,the energy)preclude a ferry from visiting all sensors in a single tour.In such case,the ferry can only access part of the sensors in each tour and move back to the sink to get the energy refilled.So,the energy-constrained ferry route design(ECFRD)problem is discussed,which leads to the optimization problem of minimizing the total route length of the ferry,while keeping the route length of each tour below a given constraint.The ECFRD problem is proved to be NP-hard problem,and the integer linear programming(ILP)formulation is given.After that,efficient heuristic algorithms are proposed to solve this problem.The experimental results show that the performances of the proposed algorithms are effective in practice compared to the optimal solution. 展开更多

Most of the developed immune based classifiers generate antibodies randomly, which has negative effect on the classification performance. In order to guide the antibody generation effectively, a decision hyper plane heuristic based artificial immune network classification algorithm (DHPA1NC) is proposed. DHPAINC taboos the inner regions of the class domain, thus, the antibody generation is limited near the class domain boundary. Then, the antibodies are evaluated by their recognition abilities, and the antibodies of low recognition abilities are removed to avoid over-fitting. Finally, the high quality antibodies tend to be stable in the immune network. The algorithm was applied to two simulated datasets classification, and the results show that the decision hyper planes determined by the antibodies fit the class domain boundaries well. Moreover, the algorithm was applied to UCI datasets classification and emotional speech recognition, and the results show that the algorithm has good performance, which means that DHPAINC is a promising classifier. 展开更多

Switch policy is essential for small cells to properly serve variable number of users in an energy efficient way.However,frequently switching small cell base stations(SBSs) may increase the network operating cost,especially when there is an nonnegligible start-up energy cost.To this end,by observing the variety of user number,we focus on the design of a switch policy which minimize the cumulative energy consumption.A given user transmission rate is guaranteed and the capability of SBSs are limited as well.According to the knowledge on user number variety,we classify the energy consumption problem into two cases.In complete information case,to minimize the cumulative energy consumption,an offline solution is proposed according to critical segments.A heuristic algorithm for incomplete information case(HAIIC) is proposed by tracking the difference of cumulative energy consumption.The upper bound of the Energy Consumption Ratio(ECR) for HAIIC is derived as well.In addition,a practical Q-learning based probabilistic policy is proposed.Simulation results show that the proposed HAIIC algorithm is able to save energy efficiently. 展开更多

This paper presented a novel bus encoding method to reduce the switching activity on address buses and hence reduce power dissipation. Dynamic-sorting encoding(DSE) method reduces the power dissipation of address bus based on the dynamic reordering of the modified offset address bus lines. This method reorders the ten least significant bits of offset address according to the range of offset address, and the optimal sorting pattern is transmitted through the high bits of address bus without the need for redundant bus lines. The experimental results by using an instruction set simulator and SPEC2000 benchmarks show that DSE method can reduce signal transitions on the address bus by 88.2%, and the actual overhead of the encoder circuit is estimated after encoder is designed and synthesized in 0.18-μm CMOS technology. The results show that DSE method outperforms the low-power encoding schemes presented in the past. 展开更多

Design and choice of TFO binding and cleaving HBV core promoter

Objective: To screen a triple helix-forming oligodeoxyribonucleotide (TFO) that can bind HBV core promoter at target site with high affinity and specificity, and to observe the ability of manganese porphyrin modified TFO to combine and cleave HBV DNA. Methods: Similar homopurine domain (1 734 - 1 754) in HBV core promoter was selected as target sequence. Several corresponding TFOs were synthesized. The affinities and specificities of TFOs binding target sequence were tested with electrophoretic mobility shift and DNase I footprinting assays. The selected best TFO was modified with manganese porphyrin and acridine. The ability of the TFO derivative to cleave HBV DNA was observed with cleavage experiment. Results: Under the condition of 371 and pH 7. 4, the TFO consisting of cytidylate and thymidylate (CT-TFO) and the parallel TFO consisting of guanylate and thymidylate (GT-TFOp) bound the target sequence weakly with Kd values much more than 10 -6 mol/L. The affinities of anti-parallel GT-TFO ( GT-TFOap) and short TFO consisting of adenine nucleotide and guanylate (AG-TFOsh) binding the target sequence were higher than those of the formers, with Kd values of 5 μ 10-7 mol/L and 2. 5 μ 10-8 mol/L respectively. Long AG-TFO (AG-TF01) had the highest binding affinity with a Kd value of 3 μ 10 -9 mol/L among all the TFOs studied for sequence specificity. In the presence of potassium monopersulfate, KHSO5, TFO modified with manganese porphyrin and acridine cleaved the target sequence where the triplex DNA formed. Conclusion: TFO containing AG or GT binds homopurine in HBV core promoter in adverse parallel direction to form triple helix. AG-TFO1 has the highest binding affinity among all the TFOs studied. After modified with manganese porphyrin, AG-TFO1 completely binds and cleaves the target HBV DNA sequence where triplex DNA is formed. 展开更多

It is an important guarantee to enhance the production of coalbed methane (CBM) and reduce the project invest- ment by finding out the drainage feature about CBM wells in different hydrogeological conditions. Based on the CBM explora- tion and development data on the Fanzhuang block in southeast Qinshui Basin and combined with the seepage principle and lithology on the roof and the bottom coalbed, the mathematical model of integrated permeability was established. By perme- ability experiments of the different lithologies on the roof and the floor within the 20 m range combined with the log curves, the integrated permeability of different lithological combinations were obtained. The starting pressure gradient and permeabi- lity of the roof and the floor for different lithologies was tested by "differential pressure-flow method". The relationships be- tween the starting pressure gradient and the integrated permeability were obtained. The critical distance of limestone water penetrating into coal reservoirs was calculated. According to the drainage feature of CBM wells combined with the drainage data of some CBM wells, the results show that, when limestone water can penetrate into coal reservoirs, the daily water production is high and the daily gas production is low although there is no gas at the beginning of the drainage process, the CBM wells stop discharging water within 6 months after the gas began to come out, and the gas production is steadily improved. When limestone water can not penetrate into coal reservoirs, the daily water production is low and the daily gas production is high at the beginning of the drainage process, and it almost stops discharging water after some time when the gas come out, the daily gas production increases, and the cumulative water production is much lower. 展开更多

At present,in all the deliverability equation,the additional pressure drop caused by the threshold pressure gradient is viewed as constant,but this method has big error in the practical application. Based on the non-Darcy steady flow equation,the limited integral of the additional pressure drop is solved in this paper and it is realized that the additional pressure drop is not a constant but has something to do with production data,and a new deliverability equation is derived,with the relevant processing method for modified isochronal test data. The aim of this study is to investigate the important regulative elements region which plays an important role on the activation of transcription exerted by the 5' noncoding region of hfgl2 gene in response to HBc and HBx. A series of promoter luciferase report plasmids, in which the hfgl2 gene has been deleted of the 5' and retained the common 3', were constructed. All the plasmids constructed were subjected to electrophoretic analysis and DNA sequencing. A eukaryotic construct expressing HBc or HBx, a luciferase reporter construct containing hfgl2 promoter and aβ-galactosidase (β-gal) plasmid were co-transfected into Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells and hepG2 cells, respectively. Luciferase report plasmids containing hfgl2 promoter were successfully constructed, and a serial assays of deletion of hfgl2 gene promoter showed that a strong regulatory region from -817 to -467 (relative to the transcription start site) was responsible for transcription and expression regulation of hfgl2 gene. The important regulative elements region in the promoter of hfgl2 gene was in response to HBc and HBx. which contributes to further pursuit of cis-acting elements and transcriptional factors involved in the transcription of hfgl2 gene. 展开更多

In low permeability porous media which permeability anisotropy is ubiquitous,the percolation of fluid no longer follows linear Darcy’s Law.Oil-water two phase flow equation of low permeability reservoir with permeability anisotropy is established based on generalized Darcy’s law and starting pressure gradient,corresponding finite element program is developed and simulated based on the Finite Element Program Generator system (FEPG).The results show that energy-gathering exists in the flow event of flowing area front in low permeability reservoir.In the process of energy-gathering,the flow velocity changed little but increased rapidly as soon as the pressure gradient exceeded the starting pressure gradient of the reservoir,then gradually stabilized.The greater the starting pressure gradient is,the greater the near wellbore pressure drop is,the smaller the area influenced by the reservoir pressure changes caused by water injection and oil recovery.The greater the starting pressure gradient is,the lower the water saturation in same point of the reservoir is,the smaller the water flood swept area is.There will be more difficulties in water injection to the same extent. 展开更多
