The results show that the diffusion path in solid-liquid reaction is Ni3Si/(T+γ)/γ/…T/γ/Ni4Zn12Si3/γ/…Ni4Zn12Si3/γ/Ni4Zn12Si3/δ…/Ni4Zn12Si3/δ/liquid-Zn, and the diffusion path in solid-vapor reaction is Ni3Si/θ/(T+γ)/γ/…/T/γ/…T/γ/vapor-Zn. With increasing Zn diffusion flux, the diffusion reaction path moves toward the Zn-rich direction, and the distance from the Ni3Si substrate to the periodic layer pair nearest to the interface decreases. In the initial stage of both reactions,γphase nucleates and grows within T matrix phase at first, and then conjuncts together to form a band to reduce the surface energy. Based on the experimental results and diffusion kinetics analysis, the microstructure differences were compared and the formation mechanism of the periodic layered structure in Ni3Si/Zn system was discussed.展开更多

It is found by numerical simulation that the correlation function for interface roughness can be well modeled by a sinusoidal function with an exponential decay in the direction of corrugation. Such a feature makes the correlation function far from a Gaussian function which is extensively used as a theoretical approximation of the correlation function for interface roughness. With such a correlation function, the influence of interface roughness scattering on electronic transport in the lateral superlattice is investigated.Consequently, it gives rise to a high anisotropy of electronic transport both in the absence and presence of a magnetic field, by which the relevant experiments can be well explained.展开更多

This is very useful for the study of the interdisciplinary research of neu- roscience and information engineering techniques. The circuits and architecture of the devices can be adapted for neurobiology and research with other small animals.展开更多

As shown by Ding et al. (2013), when the parameter λ→∞ oo, the solutions to the compressible liquid crystal system approximate that of the incompressible one. Furthermore, Ding et al. (2013) proved that the regular incompressible limit solution is global in time with small enough initial data. In this paper, we show that the solution to the compressible liquid crystal flow also exists for all time, provided that is sufficiently large and the initial data are almost incompressible.展开更多
