Based on non-Darcian flow law described by exponent and threshold gradient within a double-layered soil, the classic theory of one-dimensional consolidation of double-layered soil was modified to consider the change o...Based on non-Darcian flow law described by exponent and threshold gradient within a double-layered soil, the classic theory of one-dimensional consolidation of double-layered soil was modified to consider the change of vertical total stress with depth and time together. Because of the complexity of governing equations, the numerical solutions were obtained in detail by finite difference method. Then, the numerical solutions were compared with the analytical solutions in condition that non-Darcian flow law was degenerated to Dary's law, and the comparison results show that numerical solutions are reliable. Finally, consolidation behavior of double-layered soil with different parameters was analyzed, and the results show that the consolidation rate of double-layered soil decreases with increasing the value of exponent and threshold of non-Darcian flow, and the exponent and threshold gradient of the first soil layer greatly influence the consolidation rate of double-layered soil. The larger the ratio of the equivalent water head of external load to the total thickness of double-layered soil, the larger the rate of the consolidation, and the similitude relationship in classical consolidation theory of double-layered soil is not satisfied. The other consolidation behavior of double-layered soil with non-Darcian flow is the same as that with Darcy's law.展开更多

This method uses the ratio of the assist-force impulse to the operator-force impulse as an indicator for evaluating proposed method. Proposed method predicts the needs of the operator and delivers the desired load-reduction ratio by predicting operation. The results show that the target load-reduction ratio can be obtained with proposed control method and indicate that the target load-reduction ratio can be obtained with 80% force. By applying our proposed method, short available time of power-assisted carts will be improved.展开更多

In this work, many key nonlinear factors, such as the dynamic feature of the temperature load, the centrifugal force and the boundary conditions, are taken into consideration for the model. The changing patterns with time of bladed disk assemblies about stress distribution and total deformation are obtained during the deterministic analysis, and at the same time, the largest deformation and stress nodes of bladed disk assemblies are found and taken as input target of probabilistic analysis in a scientific and reasonable way. Not only their reliability, historical sample, extreme response surface(ERS) and the cumulative probability distribution function but also their sensitivity and effect probability are obtained. Main factors affecting stress distribution and total deformation of bladed disk assemblies are investigated through the sensitivity analysis of the model. Finally, compared with the response surface method(RSM) and the Monte Carlo simulation(MCS), the results show that this new approach is effective.展开更多

Then, we use the example of the upper bound of our results are more precise than some previous results. The single-lane with three sections (downgrade, fiat, and upgrade) is taken into account and they are characterized with different velocity limit. At the low density, the traffic current increases linearly with density and saturates at some values of immediately density. As the density increases, the traffic jam appears firstly before the upgrade section and then extends to the downgrade section. Additionally, the relationships of the velocity and headway against position in different densities are obta/ned from simulation. These results clearly clarify where and when the traffic jam appears. Finally, the critical densities are derived via the theoretical analysis before and after the discontinuous fronts and the theoretical results are consistent with the critical values of simulation results.展开更多

Making use of the quark propagator at finite temperature, we caiculate the spectral functions to T8 order, and find that there are no contributions to the spectral functions at T8 order and the temperature corrections mainly come from that containing T4 ones. The calculations show very little temperature dependence of the masses below T =0.11 GeV. While above that vaJue, the masses decrease with increasing temperature. The results indicate that the hadron-quark phase transition temperature may be Tc ≥ 0.11 GeV for the decuplet bayons.展开更多
We investigate theoretically the quantum discord dynamics of a two-qubit composite system subject to a common finite-temperature reservoir by solving the Born-Markovian master equation analytically.The ultimate quantu...We investigate theoretically the quantum discord dynamics of a two-qubit composite system subject to a common finite-temperature reservoir by solving the Born-Markovian master equation analytically.The ultimate quantum discord,however,exhibits a relatively high stable value associated with the reservoir temperature despite the permanent disappearance of entanglement simultaneously.Further analysis shows that the unique characteristic depends strongly on the off-diagonal non-zero elements of the density matrix.Our result manifests the greater robustness of quantum discord compared with entanglement,which may be helpful in quantum-information technologies.展开更多
