Plato characterizes eros in the Symposium and the Phaedrus as an invincible psychic force, capable, taking into account the fallibility of man, of compelling him toward the acquisition of that which will entail his completion. Eros, considered thusly, contributes to human ontogeny. Plotinus, who experiences beauty as eros and terror accompanied by pleasure, to the same degree will characterize it as the outcome and consequence of an intellectually and morally superior human soul. By this definition, the greatness of art lies in the fact that it compels the souls of men to eros for its spiritual content, the true nature of a work of art being the idea. As such, as long as it is not easy to know if this beauty exists as an ontologically, gnoseologically, and aesthetically idealized entity, so much the more we consider that we cannot entirely prove Freud's erotic theory of primordial and desirable phantasms, which seems to differ only slightly from the Platonic theory, or from Jung's theory of archetypes, as it seems not to recognize to an appropriate degree individual human experience. On the contrary and in agreement with the Lacanian theory on eros, in the environment of which eros is directed towards the other, so like it, it emerges in the life of the other, rupturing and reformulating it, we consider that each of us, in reality, in the erotic phenomenon, meets the other, and, behind him, our own self, which, enchanted by all that we sense that the other represents, rates all his characteristics as charmingly beautiful, because they have the privilege of coinciding, or at least of converging towards the aesthetic, entirely unique foundation of our self.展开更多

It also focuses on the minute difference between archetype and archetypal image as discussed by Jung with special reference to the characters and other images in the play beating relevance with the universal archetypes. This article also highlights the play as a connective link in the series of the different pieces of literature via the unique use of the psychic remnants. It emphasises on the different use of those remnants interwoven in the mosaic of the characters and plot of the play.展开更多

The concession of lands to the Catholic Church was a recurring practice in Brazil during the colonial and imperial periods, when the cities were being established. As these lands were intended for the formation of patrimonial goods to show the devotion of the residents to a Catholic saint, the lands were not allowed to be commercialized. The tenure reveals a relation in which there is an owner--the landlord--who has direct control of the urban land. This owner allows another--the leaseholder--the useful domain of the land, thus giving the latter the right to use the land, the obligation to pay an annual tax and the responsibility to give the owner a percentage of the sales generated from the land. In 1845, farmers donated a tract of land to be used to glorify Silo Sebastiao. This land is now the city of Ribeirao Preto, and it is this conjuncture that defined the structure and the transformation of the original urban form of the current city.展开更多

Fifty four male Wistar rats were equally divided in three groups: C group (control) received saline solution for 30 days; AD group (n = 18) received AmitriptylineR and DiazepamR for 30 days, and ADP group (n = 18) received Amitriptyline R and DiazepamR for 30 days and AmitriptylineR, DiazepamR and pilocarpine for further 30 days, resulting in 60 days of treatment. Saliva samples were collected 30 h after the end of treatment. Parotids were removed and processed for hematoxylin-eosin histological analysis. Dedicated software for image processing allowed the determination of cell number and volume. Significant differences between paired-groups C-AD (P 〈 0.01) and AD-ADP (P 〈 0.01) were observed for glands size and weight. The volume of serous cells was greater in AD, suggesting a hypertrophy of the salivary glands. For salivary flow rate, C group showed the highest average. The number of serous cells was similar between groups ADP and C, with the lowest average being found in AD group (P 〈 0.05).展开更多

The problem is that in the presence of cultural capital as a funded system of values in the form of works of art and science, society degrades morally. Any cultural capital based on traditional religious values. This does not mean the broadcasting of religious themes in works of art, although it excludes, but rather a philosophical position of artists and researchers, through which the public receives the interpretation of events, their assessment of a certain value-regulatory system of coordinates. This element is the spiritual capital of the company and is a fundamental element of cultural capital. Qualitative state of society, its morality depends on the amount of spiritual capital, which he occupies in the field of cultural capital. Based on the literature review, experts interview and policy comparative analysis, our study summarized and reviewed the status of related legislation and regulations since the enactment of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Drugs Regulations in 2005. We found the problems of legal loopholes, the complexity of supervision system and the irrational use of narcotics in the treatment of chronic non-cancer. Our analysis suggested that China should reinforce legislation, strengthen the cooperation among departments, establish the information network and improve the guideline of narcotics and psychotropic drugs for clinical treatment as quickly as possible.展开更多
