Different traffic noise spectra were registered and reproduced, simulating the outdoor traffic conditions through different windows. Spectrum adaptation terms for the recorded spectra were different from the ones obtained from the Standards, showing that Normative gives a safe evaluation of the Weighted Sound Insulation Index. In field measurements, the level abatements calculated from the Facade Acoustic Insulation Index corrected with the adaptation terms shows that the ones from the Standard do not give a good approximation, while if the level abatements is calculated using the adaptation terms from the registered spectra, a more reliable approximation is achieved. Furthermore, comparing the level abatements for two windows having both Rw equal to 41 dB, very different values were obtained at different frequencies; therefore to characterize acoustic performances of windows, sound insulation curves are also needed. The correlation between the mean difference between adaptation terms calculated from the standard and the one between abatements obtained with pink noise and the ones obtained with the registered spectra is good, but different for road traffic and trains. In both, the difference diminishes when the difference between the abatements increases.展开更多

The result indicates that the noise source intensity surpasses the noise limit requirement of 85 dBA completely. Nearly 70% noise sources exceed the noise limit of 90 dBA, and some are over 100 dBA. Noise attenua- tion in semi-free field environment on the ground is significantly different from underground far-field environment of noise source in coal mines. Noise of these regions, where staffs are long and highly concentrated, exceeds 85 dBA, the basic noise limit. The noise frequency-spectrum presents the wideband characteristics. Especially in the main frequency of the language communication 500, 1 000 and 2 000 Hz, the octave band of noise performs obviously.展开更多

By recording the acoustic pressures in the near-field, the acoustic quantities in the whole 3-D field can be reconstructed and predicted. However, the current theory of NAH is not applicable to tracking large scale moving noise sources. Therefore, the hybrid near-field acoustical holography is developed for reconstructing acoustic radiation, which is derived from statistically optimized near-field acoustical holography (SONAH) and moving frame acoustical holography (MFAH). The theoretical formulation is systematically addressed. This method enables us to visualize the noise generated by moving noise sources and the measurement array can be smaller than the source, which improves the practicability and efficiency of this technology. Numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the advantages of hybrid NAH. Then, two experiments have been carried out with a line array of hydrophones. The results of simulations and experiments support the proposed theory, which shows the advantage of hybrid NAH in the reconstruction of an acoustic field in an underwater holographic measurement.展开更多
