The contribution of white noise to the oscillatory behaviour of the new stochastic delay differential pantograph equation (SDDPE) is investigated. It is established that under certain conditions and with a highly positive probability, the new stochastic delay differential pantograph equation has an oscillatory solution influenced by the presence of the noise. This is not possible with the original deterministic system which has a non-oscillatory solution due to the absence of noise.展开更多
Underwater wireless sensor networks(UWSNs) have attracted wide attention in recent years.The capacity research on it is still in the initial stage,lacking adequate performance evaluation for network construction.This ...Underwater wireless sensor networks(UWSNs) have attracted wide attention in recent years.The capacity research on it is still in the initial stage,lacking adequate performance evaluation for network construction.This paper will focus on this subject by theoretical analysis and simulation,aiming to provide some insights for the actual UWSNs construction.According to the structure features of cluster-based UWSNs and the propagation characteristics of underwater acoustic signal,with the combination of signal to interference plus noise ratio,we define some capacity performance metrics,such as outage probability and transmission capacity.Based on the theory of stochastic geometry,a network capacity analytical model used in the cluster-based UWSNs is presented.The simulation results verify the validity of the theoretical analysis,and the cause of error between theoretical and simulation results has also been clearly explained.展开更多

In order to dispel its adverse effect on security in mining, the chaotic system of PMSM was analyzed. With noise disturbances, the complex dynamic characteristics of chaos were also analyzed, and proved the objective existence of chaos. As we all know, it is very difficult for conventional PMSM control to meet the design requirements, therefore, in order to ensure the robustness of the system, the chaotic orbits were stabilized to arbitrary chosen fixed points and periodic orbits by means of sliding mode method. Finally MATLAB simulations were presented to confirm the validity of the controller. The results show that the PMSM with the sliding mode control has a good dynamic performance and steady state accuracy.展开更多

The proposed approach gives the filtered interference power in real-time removing undesired effects such as the fl...This paper proposes new interference estimation for power control in broadband wireless data networks. The proposed approach gives the filtered interference power in real-time removing undesired effects such as the fluctuation of interference power and the measurement noise due to receiver noise. The well-known Finite Impulse Response (FIR) structure filter is adopted for both the interference and the noise covarianee estimation. The proposed mechanism provides both the filtered interference power and the filtered number of active co-channel interferers, which shows good inherent properties. And the filtered interference power is not affected by the constant number of active co-channel interferes. It is also shown that the filtered number of active co-channel interference is separated from the filtered interference power. From discussions about the choice of design parameters such as window length and eovariance ratio, they can make the estimation performance of the proposed FIR filtering based mechanism as good as possible. Via extensive computer simulations, the performance of the proposed mechanism is shown to be superior to the existing Kalman filtering based mechanism.展开更多
