Given that the concentration of DMF in waste gas was as low as 325.6- 688.3 mg·m^-3, it was necessary to make sure two phases contact adequately and strengthen the mass transfer by increasing contact area and enhancing the turbulence. Therefore, two-stage countercurrent absorption and two-stage fog removing system were introduced into the technology. The top section of the absorption column was filled with structured wire-ripple stainless steel packing BX500, while the lower section with sting-ripple packing CB250Y. Total height of packing material was 6 m. In addition, there were both two-stage fog removing layer and high efficiency liquid distributor at the column top. All the operating parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow rate and liquid position, could be controlled by computers without manual operation, making sure the outlet gas achieved the national emission standard that the DMF concentration should be below 40 mg·m^-3. The whole equipment could recover 237.6 t of DMF each year, with the profit up to CNY 521×10^3.展开更多

The effects of key parameters such as the inlet composition and the sweeping, gas on methane conversion and the hydrogen recovery are numerically estalallshed with two penodtc input ttmctlons. In order to analyze the effect of the inputs modulation, the reaction was performed under low steam to methane ratio at a mod-erate temperature and pressure. It was obtained that to achieve process intensification is to operate the process in a periodic way. The main results show that the periodic input functions can improve the performance of the process compared to the optimal steady state operation. Moreover, there is an optimum amplitude of manipulated inputs leads to a maximum of hydrogen recovery. It is noteworthy that the comparison between the predicted performancevia the sinusoidal and the'square ways show that the better'average performance was obtainedwith the square way.展开更多

ELM randomly assigns the weights between input and hidden layers and obtains the weights between the hidden layer and output layer using regression type approach in one step. This feature allows an ELM model being developed very quickly. This paper proposes using principal component regression to obtain the weights between the hidden and output layers to address the collinearity issue among hidden neuron outputs. Due to the weights between input and hidden layers are randomly assigned, ELM models could have variations in performance. This paper proposes combining multiple ELM models to enhance model prediction accuracy and reliability. To predict the CO2 production rate and CO2 capture level, eight parameters in the process were utilized as model input variables: inlet gas flow rate, CO2 concentration in inlet flow gas, inlet gas temperature, inlet gas pressure, lean solvent flow rate, Jean solvent temperature, lean loading and reboiler duty. The bootstrap re-sampling of training data was applied for building each single ELM and then the individual ELMs are stacked, thereby enhancing the model accuracy and reliability. The bootstrap aggregated extreme learning machine can provide fast learning speed and good generalization performance, which will be used to optimize the CO2 capture process.展开更多

Based on previous graphical methods, this work proposes a simple and unified graphical method for integration of hydrogen networks with purification processes. Scenarios with different hydrogen concentrations of purified product can be analyzed by the unified procedure. As a result, the maximum hydrogen saved by purification reuse can he identified and the corresponding purification process can be optimized, The proposed method is easy and non-iterative, and it is valid to purification processes with any feed concentration. A conventional hydrogen network is analyzed to test the effectiveness of the proposed method.展开更多

A high-pressure reactor with magnetic stirrer was used to study the separation efficiency. The in-fluences of the concentration of anti-agglomerant, temperature, pressure, initial gas-liquid volume ratio, and oil-water volume ratio on the separation efficiency were systematically investigated in the presence of tetrahydro-furan (THF). Anti-agglomerant was used to disperse hydrate particles into the condensate phase for water-in-oil emulsion system. Since nitrogen is the material for ammonia production, the objective production in our separation process is (hydrogen + nitrogen). Our experimental results show that by adopting appropriate operating conditions, high concentration of (hydrogen + nitrogen) can be obtained using the proposed technology based on forming hydrate.展开更多

Herein, we report the synthesis of strictly single- layer graphene on the foil of an early transition metal, tungsten (W), via a simple chemical vapor deposition route. The cracking of hydrocarbons is facilitated by the catalytically active metal surface of W, while the subsequent two-dimensional growth is mediated by the carbide-forming ability within the underlying bulk, leading to the formation of uniform monolayer graphene. The as-grown graphene layers can be transferred onto target substrates rapidly through the recently developed electrochemical method, which also allows for reuse of the substrates at least five times without introducing quality deteriora- tion. Moreover, considering the refractory nature of W foils, a complementary component of nickel is added, by means of which the growth temperature of graphene can be significantly reduced. In brief, a highly-efficient and low-cost synthesis route has been developed for the growth of graphene towards large-area uniformity, single-layer thickness and high crystalline quality.展开更多
