This paper presents an experimental investigation on the spatial distribution of average rotation speed for glass beads in the upper dilute zone of a cold circulating fluidized bed(CFB) riser. It is shown that in the horizontal direction, the average rotation speed in the near-wall area is larger than that in the center area, while in the vertical direction,it decreases as the height increases. The reason resulting in this distribution is analyzed by considering several factors including particle size, particle shape, particle number density, particle collision behavior, and the surrounding flow field, etc. The effects of CFB operation conditions on the spatial distribution of average rotation speed are also studied. The results show that the increasing superficial gas velocity increases the average rotation speed of particles in the near wall area but takes nearly no effect on that in the center area. The external solids mass flux, however, takes the opposite effect. It is found that the average rotation speeds of particles in both areas are increased as the total amount of bed material increases.展开更多

By employing this technology, three different types of highly crystallized pentasil zeolites, ZSM-35 (FER-type), Silicalite-1(MFI-type) and Mordenite(MOR-type), are successfully synthesized in the solid system. In terms of commercial production, the technology-could simplify synthesis procedure and make the continuous production of zeolites possible, so as to improve the productivity. Additionally, it is environmentally friendly because the crystallization occurs in solid phase where there exists no pollution caused by waste liquid. Therefore, this technique provides us with a new industrial process for the clean and continuous production of zeolites. The characteristics in synthesis chemistry and the crystallization mechanism involved in the technology are also discussed.展开更多

The effects of gas jet flow rate, liquid jet flowrate, solid loading, nozzle diameter and axial position on the localεg, V_b and d_b profiles were discussed. The presence of solids atlow solid concentrations not only increased the local εg and V_b,but also decreased the local d_b. The optimum solid loading for themaximum local εg and V_b together with the minimum local d_b was0.16×10^-3 m^3, corresponding to a solid volume fraction ε_S=2.5/100.展开更多

Chromatographic properties such as column efficiency, thermal stability and column life span, were studied. The separations of enantiomers, such as ketone, esters, alcohols and olefines, were investigated on the alkylated and silylated β cyclodextrin stationary phases. The influence of diluent on chiral separation was studied. The experimental results indicate that the stationary phases show good chromatographic properties in separating enantiomers. It is observed that inclusion complexation and hydrogen bonding interaction hardly play a role in separating enantiomers.展开更多
