And in the literati paintings, Ni Zan＇s paintings are the most representative. The application of the pen and ink in his works is concise and thinly scattered, and the artistic conception is cold and desolate. In this paper, with ＂Map of a fishing village in an autumn sunny day after the rain＂ as an example, the author analyzes Ni Zan＇s painting style and the causes of its formation.展开更多

The authors determine the extendabilities for all periodical maps on Σ2. The results involve various orientation preserving/reversing behalves of the periodical maps on the pair(S3, Σg). To do this the authors first list all periodic maps on Σ2, and indeed the authors exhibit each of them as a composition of primary and explicit symmetries, like rotations, reflections and antipodal maps, which itself should be interesting. A by-product is that for each even g,the maximum order periodic map on Σg is extendable, which contrasts sharply with the situation in the orientation preserving category.展开更多

The authors introduce a distance-preserving Gray map from( IFp + v IFp)nto2np. By the Gray map, the authors construct a family of optimal one-Hamming weight p-ary linear codes from one-Lee weight codes over IFp+ v IFp, which attain the Plotkin bound and the Griesmer bound. The authors also obtain a class of optimal p-ary linear codes from two-Lee weight projective codes over IFp + vIFp, which meet the Griesmer bound.展开更多

These manifolds turn out to be smooth closed 2-connected manifolds with a compact torus Tm-action called momentangle manifolds ZP, whose orbit spaces are simple n-dimensional polytopes P obtained from an n-cube by a sequence of truncations of faces of codimension 2 only(2-truncated cubes). Moreover, the polytopes P are flag nestohedra but not graph-associahedra. The author also describes the numbers β^(-i,2(i+1))(Q) for an associahedron Q in terms of its graph structure and relates it to the structure of the loop homology(Pontryagin algebra)H_*(?ZQ), and then studies higher Massey products in H*(ZQ) for a graph-associahedron Q.展开更多
The degree pattern of a finite group G associated with its prime graph has been introduced by Moghaddamfar in 2005 and it is proved that the following simple groups are uniquely determined by their order and degree pa...The degree pattern of a finite group G associated with its prime graph has been introduced by Moghaddamfar in 2005 and it is proved that the following simple groups are uniquely determined by their order and degree patterns： All sporadic simple groups, the alternating groups Ap （p ≤ 5 is a twin prime） and some simple groups of the Lie type. In this paper, the authors continue this investigation. In particular, the authors show that the symmetric groups Sp＋3, where p ＋ 2 is a composite number and p ＋ 4 is a prime and 97 〈 p ∈π（1000!）, are 3-fold OD-characterizable. The authors also show that the alternating groups All6 and A134 are OD-characterizable. It is worth mentioning that the latter not only generalizes the results by Hoseini in 2010 but also gives a positive answer to a conjecture by Moghaddamfar in 2009.展开更多
