One theorem provides parameter inequalities for determining parameter intervals for implementing prescribed image processing functions, respectively. According to the fact that the gray values of adjacent pixels will not vary fast, the algorithm employs an interlaced search pattem in the search window to estimate the motion vector of the objectblock. Simulation and actual experiments demanstrate that the proposed algmithm greatly outperforms the well-known three-step search and dianond search algoritlam, no matter the motion vector is large or small. Comparedc with the full search algorithm, the proposed one achieves similar peffomance but requires much less computation, therefore, the algorithm is well qualified for real-time video image processing.展开更多

In this paper, th authors proposed ISP that significantly reduced chip area by efficiently sharing of hardware and software. Large operation blocks are designed to hardware for high performances, and hardware is imployed simultaneously with software considering the size of the hardware. The implemented ISP can process Video Graphics Array (VGA) (640 * 480) images and has 91 450 gates size in 0. 35 μm process.展开更多
This paper presents a low-cost remote vision system for use in unmanned aircraft that provide a first person view (FPV) to vehicle operators in real-time. The system does not require a traditional electromechanical ...This paper presents a low-cost remote vision system for use in unmanned aircraft that provide a first person view (FPV) to vehicle operators in real-time. The system does not require a traditional electromechanical gimbal setup. Instead, the system uses a wide-angle (fisheye) lens and a video camera setup that is fixed on the vehicle and captures the full viewing area as seen from the cockpit in each video frame. Video is transmitted to a ground station wirelessly. On the ground, the pilot is outfitted with virtual reality goggles with integrated attitude and heading sensors. The received video is recertified and cropped by the ground station to provide the goggles with the appropriate view based on head orientation. Compared to traditional electromechanical setups, the presented system features reduced weight, reduced video lag, lower power consumption, and reduced drag on the airborne vehicle in addition to requiring only a unidirectional downlink. The video processing is preformed on the ground, further reducing computational resources and bandwidth requirements. These advantages, in conjunction with the advancement in miniature optical sensors and lenses, make the proposed approach a viable option for miniature remotely controlled vehicles. The system was successfully implemented and tested using an R/C airplane.展开更多

This paper presents an estimation of a block motion method for video coding w...Image sequences processing and video encoding are extremely time consuming problems. The time complexity of them depends on image contents. This paper presents an estimation of a block motion method for video coding with edge alignment. This method uses blocks of size 4 × 4 and its basic idea is to find motion vector using the edge position in each video coding block. The method finds the motion vectors more accurately and faster than any known classical method that calculates all the possibilities. Our presented algorithm is compared with known classical algorithms using the evaluation function of the peak signal-to-noise ratio. For comparison of the methods we are using parameters such as time, CPU usage, and size of compressed data. The comparison is made on benchmark data in color format YUV. Results of our proposed method are comparable and in some cases better than results of standard classical algorithms.展开更多
