For anomaly detection,anomalies existing in the background will affect the detection performance.Accordingly,a background refinement method based on the local density is proposed to remove the anomalies from thebackgr...For anomaly detection,anomalies existing in the background will affect the detection performance.Accordingly,a background refinement method based on the local density is proposed to remove the anomalies from thebackground.In this work,the local density is measured by its spectral neighbors through a certain radius which is obtained by calculating the mean median of the distance matrix.Further,a two-step segmentation strategy is designed.The first segmentation step divides the original background into two subsets,a large subset composed by background pixels and a small subset containing both background pixels and anomalies.The second segmentation step employing Otsu method with an aim to obtain a discrimination threshold is conducted on the small subset.Then the pixels whose local densities are lower than the threshold are removed.Finally,to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method,it combines Reed-Xiaoli detector and collaborative-representation-based detector to detect anomalies.Experiments are conducted on two real hyperspectral datasets.Results show that the proposed method achieves better detection performance.展开更多

Unlike some previous algorithms, which require pure horizontal camera panning, this algorithm doesn't require constraints on how the image is taken. The algorithm can determine the matching regions of the two adjacent images by finding out the feature points and can piece up images bath horizontally and vertically. The paper situates itself within a Ph.D. research investigating the relationship between food cultural habits and the built environment, aiming to understand how thinking on sustainable food production and distributio...The paper situates itself within a Ph.D. research investigating the relationship between food cultural habits and the built environment, aiming to understand how thinking on sustainable food production and distribution can help deal in a new way with urban sustainability by considering the cultural principles connected to the Slow Food philosophy. The paper investigates the activities of a small group of Italian wine producers and farmers within the agricultural landscape around Piacenza, and the way they influence the transformation of local urban and rural environments through either the application of the principles promoted by the Slow Food organization, or the creation of alternative “unofficial” strategies. Through the analysis of documents relating to the past and present history of the agricultural territory around Piacenza and its material culture, the presented study aims to understand how historically consolidated contexts are physically transformed through food culture. Considering historical and economic works on the Italian agricultural landscape, the paper stresses the dichotomy between consolidated cultural practices acting on a historically traditional landscape, and the innovation coming from the subversion of those practices, by visualizing them through a qualitative-quantitative gastronomic map of the local territory.展开更多
