Wellhead heating requires characteristics of openness, no-noise and big heat loads. The original coal-fired boiler heating mode causes significant waste of energy and environmental pollution due to the low efficiency of the heat exchange. Therefore, to solve these prob- lems, we will use deep mine geothermal energy to heat the wellhead by making full use of its negative pressure field and design a low-temperature water and fan-free heating system. Through numerical cal- culations we will simulate temperature fields, pressure fields and velocity fields under different air sup- ply temperatures, as well as different air supply outlet locations and varying number of radiators in the wellhead room of a new auxiliary shaft to find the proper layout and number of radiators that meet well- head anti-frost requirements from our simulation results, in order to provide guidelines for a practical engineering design. Tests on the Zhangshuanglou auxiliary shaft wellhead shows good, look promising and appear to resolve successfully the problem of high energy consumption and high pollution of well- head heating by a coal-fired boiler.展开更多

RETScreen Plus is a freely available software tool developed by the Canadian Government which can be used to develop energy baselines of clean energy technologies. Using curve-fitting and statistical methods like CUSUM, the software can combine actual energy performance with near real time weather information from NASA. We developed a method to simulate the performance of a GSHP (ground source heat pump). The three distinct energy zones involve heating, no-energy, and cooling. RETScreen Plus methodology is used to develop curve fits for each distinct zone as it builds a correlation with NASA satellite data. The model then factors the impact of ICT (information and control technologies) as a means to improve and lower the building's energy consumption. Two values of COP (coefficient of performance) are used--the first is a standard ICT COP, while the second is an improved ICT COP with a smart controller. This methodology can then be expanded to incorporate current and future smart meter technologies, time of use rates, energy price signals, demand response and electricity storage options. In summary, this methodology enables a building owner or energy conservation official to quickly and accurately determine the baseline energy for a building and the potential impacts of smart ICT technologies, especially for buildings equipped with GSHP technologies.展开更多

The Earth is a very resourceful form of energy, using the natural solar energy collection and heat storage capabilities as an infinite heat source/heat sink at the base of permeable pavements, which can provide excellent temperature gradients for GHP's. Experimental rigs were setup up at The University of Edinbttrgh for a combined permeable pavement and GHP system. At the base of a pavement structure (approximately 1 meter) below the ground's surface, temperatures are constant of 10℃ in the U.K all year round. The GHP performance efficiency was analysed by the coefficient of performance (COP) in a heating cycle and the energy efficiency ratio (EER) in a cooling cycle. The mean COP and EER for both systems averaged between 2-4.5 and 3-5 respectively. The combined GHP and pavement structure operated at an optimum efficiency for both heating and cooling cycles and has shown to be unaffected by higher summer or lower winter temperatures. This hybrid system is an attractive renewable energy technology and has additional environmental benefits such as urban runoff reuse and recycling.展开更多

It points out that the construction of energy-saving emission reduction is an effective means to solve the problems of high energy consumption of the building, and it is also an important measure for China's carbon emission reduction. According to the climate characteristics in hot summer and cold winter area, low carbon technology suitable for the construction of energy-efficient hot summer and cold winter area is proposed which is based on the analysis of the current main building energy-saving technical measures.展开更多
