In classical level, gauge theory of gravity gives classical Newtonian gravitational interactions in a relativistic form. Besides,it gives gravitational Lorentz force, which is the gravitational force on a moving object in gravitomagnetic field The direction of gravitational Lorentz force is not the same as that of classical gravitational Newtonian force. Effects of gravitational Lorentz force should be detectable, and these effects can be used to discriminate gravitomagnetic field from ordinary electromagnetic magnetic field.展开更多

In the presence of saddle-splay elasticity (characterized by k24) the disclination ring has a universal equilibrium radius. Depending on the values of the saddle-splay constant k24, the universal equilibrium radius is altered. We find that the coupling term between the gravitation and the nonlinear electrodynamics makes the scalar field decay more quickly and it also makes the scalar field oscillate more slowly. On the o'ther words, this coupling term takes effect on the scalar field evolution as a damping factor. At the same time these effects become more obvious for the scalar field with higher angle quantum number.展开更多

In this paper, the interplay between technology, market and government in telecommunications is discussed briefly, and then we introduce technology and government into the traditional SCP(Structure – Conduct – Performance) paradigm to develop an industry analysis framework called TGM(SCP)(Technology – Government – Market(Structure – Conduct – Performance)). Based on this framework, we present the spiral coevolution model which elaborates on the interaction mechanism of technological innovation with government regulation and market dynamics from the perspective of industry evolution. Our study indicates that the development of the telecommunications industry is the result of the coevolution of technology, government regulation and market forces, and among the three actors, technology is the fundamental driving force. Relative to the "invisible hand"(market) and "visible hand"(government), we conceptualize technology as the "third hand", which fundamentally drives the development of telecommunications industry in coordination with the other two hands. We also provide several policy implications regarding these findings.展开更多

Based on gauge principle, quantum gauge theory of gravity, which is perturbatively renormalizable, is formulated in the Minkowski space-time. In quantum gauge theory of gravity, gravity is treated as a kind of fundamental interactions, which is transmitted by gravitational gauge field, and Dirac field couples to gravitational field through gravitational gauge covariant derivative. Based on this theory, we can easily explain gravitational phase effect, which has already been detected by COW experiment.展开更多

In this paper,a novel impact parameter on separation efficiency,i.e.,the angle between the vectors of magnetic force and fluid velocity, was derived from the basic equation describing the motion of magnetic beads in microchannels. It is proposed that one of the most important approaches for separation efficiency enhancement is to improve the coordination of magnetic force field and fluid flow field. A T-shaped microchannel magnetophoretic separator was designed based on the angle. And then a two-dimensional dynamic model of magnetic beads moving in microchannels was established to study the separation efficiency of T-shaped microseparator by combined use of finite element method and Runge-Kutta method. The results show that the capture effi-ciency of T-shaped microseparator is much higher than that of the straight microseparator at the same conditions. For small magnetic beads at high fluid velocities, the designed T-shaped microseparator could still keep high separation efficiency whereas the conventional straight microseparator fails to separate the magnetic beads. Further analysis shows that the mechanism of separation efficiency enhancement lies in the synergy of magnetic force field and flow field, which directly leads to large deflected velocity of the magnetic beads from the main stream, and thus increasing the separation efficiency. It is anticipated that the results in this paper are theoretically helpful for the optimum design of highly efficient magnetophoretic separators.展开更多

The effective electronic polarization energies for an electron/hole carrier were successfully estimated by AMOEBA polarizable force field in naphthalene molecular crystals. Both electronic polarization energy and permanent electrostatic interaction were in agreement with the preview experimental values. In addition, the influence of the multipoles from different distributed mutipole analysis (DMA) fitting options on the electro- static interactions are discussed in this paper. We found that the multipoles obtained from Gauss-Hermite quadrature without diffuse function or grid-based quadrature with 0.325 A H atomic radius will give reasonable electronic polarization energies and permanent interactions for electron and hole carriers.展开更多

Based on the continuum model of two-phase flow a mathematical model for the directional solidification of a binary alloy in a magnetic field is presented. The model includes mass, momentum, energy and species mass conservation equations written in compressible form and additional relationships describing the temperature-solute coupling. The geometry under study is a cylindrical mold with adiabatic walls and cooled bottom. The macroscale transport in the solidification of alloys is governed by the progress of the two-phase mushy zone, which is treated by means of a porous medium approach. The volume fraction of liquid and solid phases, respectively, is calculated from a 2D approximation of the phase diagram. The results of calculation are compared with experimental data.展开更多
