A networked control and supervision system (NCSS) based on LonWorks fieldbus and lntranet/Intemet was designed, which was composed of the universal intelligent control nodes (ICNs), the visual control and supervis...A networked control and supervision system (NCSS) based on LonWorks fieldbus and lntranet/Intemet was designed, which was composed of the universal intelligent control nodes (ICNs), the visual control and supervision configuration platforms (VCCP and VSCP) and an Intranet/Internet-based remote supervision platform (RSP). The ICNs were connected to field devices, such as sensors, actuators and controllers. The VCCP and VSCP were implemented by means of a graphical programming environment and network management so as to simplify the tasks of programming and maintaining the ICNs. The RSP was employed to perform the remote supervision function, which was based on a three-layer browser/server(B/S) structure mode. In order to build a power plant with high efficiency,low investment and zero warm water discharge,a series of innovations are applied to the two 1 000-MW units of Ninghai Power Plant.The new technologies include the c...In order to build a power plant with high efficiency,low investment and zero warm water discharge,a series of innovations are applied to the two 1 000-MW units of Ninghai Power Plant.The new technologies include the closed-circuit system for seawater cooling tower with a spraying area of 13 000 m2,the main buildings with reinforced concrete structure,the plasma ignition system for tower boiler and the fieldbus control system.Optimization measures are taken in some aspects,such as the open point of the turbine overload valves,the boiler dimensions,the technical process,the electric system,the building structures and the layout of the power plant.The units have been running for more than half a year with the thermal efficiency as high as 45.79% and without warm water discharged,which indicates that all the systems are safe and steady and the original purpose of optimization has been realized.展开更多
In accordance with the application requirements of high definition(HD) video surveillance systems,a real-time 5/3 lifting wavelet HD-video de-noising system is proposed with frame rate conversion(FRC) based on a field...In accordance with the application requirements of high definition(HD) video surveillance systems,a real-time 5/3 lifting wavelet HD-video de-noising system is proposed with frame rate conversion(FRC) based on a field-programmable gate array(FPGA),which uses a 3-level pipeline paralleled 5/3 lifting wavelet transformation and reconstruction structure,as well as a fast BayesS hrink adaptive threshold filtering module.The proposed system demonstrates de-noising performance,while also balancing system resources and achieving real-time processing.The experiments show that the proposed system's maximum operating frequency(through logic synthesis and layout using Quartus 13.1 software) can reach 178 MHz,based on the Altera Company's Stratix III EP3SE80 series FPGA.The proposed system can also satisfy real-time de-noising requirements of 1920 × 1080 at60 fps HD-video sources,while also significantly improving the peak signal to noise rate of the denoising images.Compared with similar systems,the system has the advantages of high operating frequency,and the ability to support multiple source formats for real-time processing.展开更多

This paper models the propagation characteristics in one of the most common and piv- otal scenarios--train crossing in subway tunnels which is rarely mentioned in previous publications. Firstly, measurements for train crossing scenario at 2.4 GHz in a real subway line in Madrid have been made. The field measurement is the most reliable way to reveal the propagation characteristics involving shadowing effect and fast fading. Moreover, to precisely describe the fast fading distribu- tion and eliminate the inevitable weak points of traditional fitting way, a best numerical approxima- tion method using Legendre orthogonal polynomials has been proposed. Comparisons show that this method works better and is of greater physical significance. Finally, a complete statistical model is given and all the coefficients can be applied by system designers for the link and system level simu- lations.展开更多

The suggested methods were applied to a deep rock roadway with -648 m depth in Gubei coal mine of Huainan area. The field test was carried out and the in-situ monitoring was imple- mented, and the support scheme was optimized and adjusted to improve the stability of the surrounding rock of the roadway based on the feedback analysis. The results showed that the stability can be improved greatly by the provided control methods tbr deep roadway. To meet the demands for highly advanced components with ultra precise contour accuracy and optical surface quality arising in the fields of photonics and optics, automotive, medical applications and biotechnology, con...To meet the demands for highly advanced components with ultra precise contour accuracy and optical surface quality arising in the fields of photonics and optics, automotive, medical applications and biotechnology, consumer electronics and renewable energy, more advanced production machines and processes have to be developed. As the complexity of machine tools rises steadily, the automation of manufacture increases rapidly, processes become more integrated and cycle times have to be reduced significantly, challenges of engineering efficient machine tools with respect to these demands expand every day. Especially the manufacture of freeform geometries with non-continuous and asymmetric surfaces requires advanced diamond machining strategies involving highly dynamic axes movements with a high bandwidth and position accuracy. Ultra precision lathes additionally equipped with Slow Tool and Fast Tool systems can be regarded as state-of-the-art machines achieving the objectives of high quality optical components. The mechanical design of such ultra precision machine tools as well as the mechanical integration of additional highly dynamic axes are very well understood today. In contrast to that, neither advanced control strategies for ultra precision machining nor the control integration of additional Fast Tool systems have been sufficiently developed yet. Considering a complex machine setup as a mechatronic system, it becomes obvious that enhancements to further increase the achievable form accuracy and surface quality and at the same time decrease cycle times and error sensitivity can only be accomplished by innovative, integrated control systems. At the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT a novel, fully integrated control approach has been developed to overcome the drawbacks of state-of-the-art machine controls for ultra precision processes. Current control systems are often realized as decentralized solutions consisting of various computational hardware components for setpoint generation, machine control, HMI (human machine interface), Slow Tool control and Fast Tool control. While implementing such a distributed control strategy, many disadvantages arise in terms of complex communication interfaces, discontinuous safety structures, synchronization of cycle times and the machining accuracy as a whole. The novel control approach has been developed as a fully integrated machine control including standard CNC (computer numerical control) and PLC (programmable logic controller) functionality, advanced setpoint generation methods, an extended HMI as well as an FPGA (field programmable gate array)-based controller for a voice coil driven Slow Tool and a piezo driven Fast Tool axis. As the new control system has been implemented as a fully integrated platform using digital communication via EtherCAT, a continuous safety strategy could be realized, the error sensitivity and EMC susceptibility could be significantly decreased and the overall process accuracy from setpoint generation over path interpolation to axes movements could be enhanced. The novel control at the same time offers additional possibilities of automation, process integration, online data acquisition and evaluation as well as error compensation methods.展开更多

Considering the characteristics of wetla...This paper proposes an on-site monitoring system for evaporation (Ew) and evapotranspiration (ET) in wetlands called the Compensation Evapotranspiration Observation System. Considering the characteristics of wetlands environment and emergent plants, the vertical flux of water loss in wetlands can be separated using the system based on compensation principle. A comparison research on water loss through ET in reed (Phragmites australis) stands between Zhalong wetland and Baiyangdian wetland was carded out in 2004-2009. In Baiyangdian wetland, the ET rates from three reed stands with different leaf area indexes were measured. The results show that annual ET in Zhalong wetland was 739-886 mm during study period. Comparatively, annual ET of the three reed stands in Baiyangdian wetland was 970-1117 mm, 1261-1452 mm and 1759-2035 ram, respectively. The ET rates in Baiyangdian were stronger than in Zhalong because of the effects of geography and climate characteristics. Moreover, seasonal dynamic changes and influence factors of transpiration-acting factor from the two wetlands were also analyzed. It is indicated that the transpirafion-actng factor can be affected by geographic location, aboveground biomass, plant growth and climate conditions.展开更多

By suitably choosing the system parameters and precisely controlling the dynamics, novel connection is found between the SI and entanglement generation. It is shown that SI can be increased and reach its maximum value either by increasing the number of photons inside the cavity or considering the far off-resonant case.The number of oscillations of SI is increased by decreasing this ratio between the Josephson junction capacity and the gate capacity. This leads to significant improvement of the travelling time between the maximum and minimum values.展开更多

It is shown that SI can be increased and reach its maximum value either by increasing the number of photons inside the cavity or considering the far off-resonant case.The number of oscillations of SI is increased by decreasing this ratio between the Josephson junction capacity and the gate capacity. This leads to significant improvement of the travelling time between the maximum and minimum values.
