Aming at the problem of the low accuracy of low dynamic vehicle velocity under the environment of uneven distribution of light intensity,an improved adaptive Kalman filter method for the velocity error estimate by the...Aming at the problem of the low accuracy of low dynamic vehicle velocity under the environment of uneven distribution of light intensity,an improved adaptive Kalman filter method for the velocity error estimate by the fusion of optical flow tracking and scale mvaiant feature transform(SIFT)is proposed.The algorithm introduces anonlinear fuzzy membership function and the filter residual for the noise covariance matrix in the adaptive adjustment process.In the process of calculating the velocity of the vehicle,the tracking and matching of the inter-frame displacement a d the vehicle velocity calculation a e carried out by using the optical fow tracing and the SIF'T methods,respectively.Meanwhile,the velocity difference between theoutputs of thesetwo methods is used as the observation of the improved adaptive Kalman filter.Finally,the velocity calculated by the optical fow method is corrected by using the velocity error estimate of the output of the modified adaptive Kalman filter.The results of semi-physical experiments show that the maximum velocityeror of the fusion algorithm is decreased by29%than that of the optical fow method,and the computation time is reduced by80%compared with the SIFT method.展开更多

However, almost no experiments ...Many theoretical studies have been developed to study the spectral response of a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) under non-uniform strain distribution along the length of FBG in recent years. However, almost no experiments were designed to obtain the evolution of the spectrum when a FBG is subjected to non-uniform strain. In this paper, the spectral responses of a FBG under non-uniform strain distributions are given and a numerical simulation based on the Runge-Kutta method is introduced to investigate the responses of the FBG under some typical non-uniform transverse strain fields, including both linear strain gradient and quadratic strain field. Experiment is carried out by using loads applied at different locations near the FBG. Good agreements between experimental results and numerical simulations are obtained.展开更多
A finite element analysis(FEA)model is developed for the chemical-mechanical polishing(CMP)process on the basis of a 12-in five-zone polishing head.The proposed FEA model shows that the contact stress non-uniformity i...A finite element analysis(FEA)model is developed for the chemical-mechanical polishing(CMP)process on the basis of a 12-in five-zone polishing head.The proposed FEA model shows that the contact stress non-uniformity is less dependent on the material property of the membrane and the geometry of the retaining ring.The larger the elastic modulus of the pad,the larger contact stress non-uniformity of the wafer.The applied loads on retaining ring and zone of the polishing head significantly affect the contact stress distribution.The stress adjustment ability of a zone depends on its position.In particular,the inner-side zone has a high stress adjustment ability,whereas the outer-side zone has a low stress adjustment ability.The predicted results by the model are shown to be consistent with the experimental data.Analysis results have revealed some insights regarding the performance of the multi-zone CMP.展开更多
