在资本主义体系下,动物被视为有价值的资本或者无用的废物,那么作为当今最具影响力的电影媒介在发挥政治介入功能时,如何将动物从"生产—消费—再循环"的资本主义怪圈里解放出来?本文先以尼可·舒肯的"动物资本"... 在资本主义体系下,动物被视为有价值的资本或者无用的废物,那么作为当今最具影响力的电影媒介在发挥政治介入功能时,如何将动物从"生产—消费—再循环"的资本主义怪圈里解放出来?本文先以尼可·舒肯的"动物资本"这一概念来解释动物与资本主义是如何联系在一起的,以及二者与电影之间的进一步关系。由于在资本主义的早期发展中和在资本主义的电影业中都对动物进行了广泛的利用,用"救赎"这个概念来讨论纪录片(尤其是数字纪录片)在拯救电影媒介(作为物质化的资本主义和剥削动物身体的帮凶)中的作用也就是合适的。本文从舒肯的"动物资本"到作者提出的"垃圾动物"来探讨动物保护行动以及在纪录片里如何展示这些行为的电影修辞方式。通过梳理研究当代纪录片里的动物资本和垃圾动物,本文对动物保护行动主义者较为积极正面的希望话语和使用的修辞方式予以了特别的关注。 展开更多

The Liangshui Natural Reserve in Heilongjiang Province of China was selected as the study area. The authors collected the samples of forest litter (Tilia amurensis, Fraxinus mandshurica, Pinus koraiensis, Acer mono, Betula costata, and mixed litter), soil in humus horizon (0--5cm) and soil horizon (5-20cm), and soil macrofauna (Oligochaeta, Geophiloporpha and Juliformia) from 2001 to 2002. The role of soil macrofauna in the material cycle was analyzed through comparing the macro-element contents among various parts of the subsystems and using enrichment index (El). The results indicate that dynamic changes of various litters are very complicated. The contents of Fe in each kind of litter increase firstly, and then decrease in the study period. The changes of macro-element contents are greater in the broad-leaf litter than in the coniferous litter, and the mixed litter is in the middle level, but the differences among them are not significant. The contents of Mg and Fe in humus are higher than those in soil, but the contents of Ca in soil are higher than that in humus. The dynamic changes of macro-element contents in soil and soil fauna are not consistent with those in litter. The diplopod presented obvious enrichment of Ca and Mg (E1〉1), but it does not significantly enrich Fe. Earthworm has a stronger enrichment ability of Fe than diplopod and scolopendra, but E1〈1. Soil fauna can make great influences on the material cycle of the subsystems. 展开更多

Plastic bags, though commonly used for packaging of goods, are highly durable and non- biodegradable. Plastic bag litter serves as a negative environmental externality detrimental to animal health and natural beauty of the environment. In an effort to curtail the excessive use of plastic bags in Botswana, the government introduced a plastic levy targeted at consumers at retail points. This study uses primary data collected from 367 respondents randomly selected from six geospatially and purposively selected shopping malls to determine the consumers' willingness to pay (WTP) for continued plastic bag usage and their willingness to accept (WTA) to shift to eco-friendly alternatives. The results of the study revealed that open dumping and burning of plastic litter are more common in Maun than in Gaborone, It also showed that there is a significant relationship between the level of education and W'FP. Further, there is a significant variation in income and education in respect to environmental awareness. The government should improve its efforts of sensitizing the public about the improper disposal of plastic bags. 展开更多
