Experiments were done using these front profiles in the Northwestern Polytechnical University high-speed water tunnel. The experiments indicated that the critical volume of gas required for supercavitation is affected by the axial distribution of the front-end's slope. The experimental data showed critical gas flow rates required for the three designs were less than rood-l, with the greatest decrease 24%. The experimental results also showed the supercavitation generation speeds of the models were faster than mod-1 by up to 32.4%. This verifies that the front profile of a supercaviting vehicle effects supercavity generation speed and critical gas flow rates. The smaller the changes in axial distribution of pressure, the higher the supercavity generation speed. The smaller the changes in curvature distribution of axial, the smaller the critical gas flow rates.展开更多

With the development of tourism and trade, the harm caused by invasive plants will be more and more serious. Therefore, it is necessary to ex- plore an effective method for controlling plant invasion through qualitative and quan- titative research. In this paper, the models were established for the early and late harmful plant invasion control. The huge computation was completed by the com- puter programming to obtain the optimal solutions of the models. The real meaning of the optimal solution was further discussed. Through numerical simulations and discussion, it could be concluded that the quantitative research on the invasive plant control had a certain application value.展开更多

The drug concentration-time curve for target organ can be plotted with reference to the data of drug concentration in blood according to the model. The pharmacokinetic parameters of the drug in target organ could also be obtained. The practicability of the model was further checked by the curves of drug concentration-time in blood and target organ(liver) of liver-targeting nanoparticles in animal tests. Based on the liver drug concentration-time curves calculated by the function formula of the drug in target organ, the pharmacokinetic behavior of the drug in target organ(liver) was analyzed by statistical moment, and its pharmacokinetic parameters in liver were obtained. It is suggested that the (relative targeting index( can be used for quantitative evaluation of the targeting drug delivery systems.展开更多

This study employed a two-stage model from 3-year echocardiographic data to ascertain whether the two-stage model predicts RFCA outcome more favorably than models using the baseline LAD. Methods Data were retrospectively collected from 263 consecutive patients with drug-refractory AF undergoing RFCA. Regular echocardiographic measurements of LAD were performed at baseline, 1, 3, 6, and 12 months and then every 6 months after RFCA. Sex, age, type of AF, number of RFCA, and AF status were recorded. We obtain the actual (predicted) 3-year LAD using a longitudinal linear mixed model (1st stage). Logistic regression models based on the baseline LAD (Model 1), actual (predicted) 3-year LAD (Model 2) (2nd stage), and observed 3-year LAD (Model 3) were constructed to predict RFCA outcome. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) were used to assess the performance of models. Results The lowess smoothed curve indicated that the LAD declined over the first three months and remained stable up to 36 months after RFCA. The degree of LAD reduction was significantly influenced by the baseline LAD. Non-paroxysmal AF, large LAD and female gender were significant predictors of AF recurrence. Model 2 had the largest AUC among the three models. Conclusions This longitudinal study-based two-stage model outperforms the original logistic model using the baseline LAD. Non-paroxysmal AF, larger LAD and female gender are significant predictors of RFCA failure.展开更多
