With Chinese economi...Globalization and informatization have accelerated city networking process over the world, which makes research on city network a hot topic in the fields of urban geography and economic geography. With Chinese economic structure adjustment and city economic growth, producer services have begun to play an increasingly important role in city-region networking. This paper employs the methodology of world city network to analyze and explain the spatial development characteristics of China's urban network system based on the data of nationwide producer services enterprise network. The research result indicated that the distribution of producer services network has a positive effect on the development of Chinese city networks. City network connectivity is closely related to the significance of city in producer services development, and the former will gradually decline with the drop of the latter. Accordingly, the 64 cities can be divided into the national central cities, regional central cities, sub-regional central cities and local central cities in accordance with their position and role in the nationwide producer services network. It is concluded that high-grade cities with quality producer services dominate the pattern of Chinese city networks and there emerges three spatial agglomerations of producer services enterprises in Changjiang (Yangtze) River Delta, Zhujiang (Pearl) River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan Economical Region. Moreover, the distribution of different producer services industry varies from city to city, which also affects the characteristics of network development.展开更多
Although extensive analyses of road segments and intersections located in urban road networks have examined the role of many factors that contribute to the frequency and severity of crashes, the explicit relationship ...Although extensive analyses of road segments and intersections located in urban road networks have examined the role of many factors that contribute to the frequency and severity of crashes, the explicit relationship between street pattern characteristics and traffic safety remains underexplored. Based on a zone-based Hong Kong database, the Space Syntax was used to quantify the topological characteristics of street patterns and investigate the role of street patterns and zone-related factors in zone-based traffic safety analysis. A joint probability model was adopted to analyze crash frequency and severity in an integrated modeling framework and the maximum likelihood estimation method was used to estimate the parameters. In addition to the characteristics of street patterns, speed, road geometry, land-use patterns, and temporal factors were considered. The vehicle hours was also included as an exposure proxy in the model to make crash frequency predictions. The results indicate that the joint probability model can reveal the relationship between zone-based traffic safety and various other factors, and that street pattern characteristics play an important role in crash frequency prediction.展开更多

Therefore, the research that how to establish the system matching our National City Community Service Network is the urgent issue to be settled down for the construction of the city community athletic service network. The construction of the city community athletic service network in Jiangsu provides a good way for the citizens to promote the level and quality of their lives with the help of the sports. Methods: Based on the literal data method, this paper studies the present city community athletic service network and the main factors which affect the construction of athletic service network and related problems by the following methods i.e. questionnaire survey, interview and observable methods and mathematical statistics method etc. Results: 1 .The main factors which affect citizens who join sports include shortage of athletic stations,, narrowly publicizing science knowledge of keeping healthy, the bad athletic circumstances and shortage of professional instructions. 2. Construction of Jiangsu urban community fitness service network mainly include: physical activity guidance; create a personal exercise files; the body after exercise monitoring; exercise prescription; knowledge of health promotion; post-exercise nutrition deployment; rehabilitation medical. 3.Governments play a leading role in Jiangsu city community service network. Conclusion: Physical fitness of urban community service organization management network should be based on City Community Service Center as the main sports, fitness, form a District Sports Council, the Community Sports Association, the neighborhood offices co-ordination between the management system. In this paper, the authors proposed a method to analyze trait of users in market areas near stations by analyzing location based social network. After the datum collection from geotagged tweets, these GPS (global positioning system) datum were plotted to map attained from yahoo open location platform. Then the morphological analysis and terminology extraction system extracted the keywords and their scores. After calculating the distance from stations and users' GPS coordination, the authors extracted the array of keywords and corresponding scores in some station market area. Lastly, ratios of all users' scores and city's scores were calculated to examine the locality. Full combination of data collection, natural language processing and visualization enabled the authors to envisage distribution of collective background in city.展开更多

The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that we can support an inno...The urban condition of the European territory requires new approaches to explain the current development of cities and to propose new planning tools. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that we can support an innovative perspective based on intermediate geographical scales, more useful for outlining the specific features of territory. While we analyze the territory, we should overcome the strictly local scale of the administrative boundaries and create new relationship between contemporary urban concepts (metropolization of territory and metapolis) and the regional ecological patterns. In the case of Valladolid (E) urban/metropolitan area, we focus on both causes and process of city growth. We have understood that it could be inefficient for planning forgetting the real spatial configuration (the city is located in an intersection between two territorial corridors) and misunderstanding the territorial role of the city at different scales (the double centrality in the emerging urban area and in the region). The significance of this case is to reveal the inter-scalar condition of places as generators of constraints in the contemporary urban fabric and, at the same time, to show the quality and the potential of places in the future urban realm.展开更多
