Based on the remote sensing images of urban land use of Chongqing City Proper in the last 30years(from 1978 to 2011),The paper focuses on the impact of urban spatial expansion on urban ecosystem service.The charactere...Based on the remote sensing images of urban land use of Chongqing City Proper in the last 30years(from 1978 to 2011),The paper focuses on the impact of urban spatial expansion on urban ecosystem service.The charactereristics of urban spatial expansion pattern are expressed by Landscape Expansion Index and Index of Fractal Dimension.Taking advantage of calculation of these two indices,changes of the ecological service values in the main urban area of Chongqing caused by the variation of urban expansion patterns are evaluated and the interrelationship is analyzed.The main conclusions and results are as follows;in Chongqing City Proper,the ecological service value decreased rapidly from 1978 to 2011,especially in the period of 2002-2011.Urban spatial expansion pattern has exerted significant impact on urban ecosystem service value.Edge-expansion pattern broke into a great deal of urban enclaves and caused the disadvantage effect of the function of urban ecological system.At the same time,negative correlation existed between the indices of fractal dimension and the ecosystem service value.展开更多

We developed a ...In order to analyze changes in human settlement in Xuzhou city during the past 20 years, changes in land cover and vegetation were investigated based on multi-temporal remote sensing Landsat TM images. We developed a hierarchical classifier system that uses different feature inputs for specific classes and conducted a classification post-processing approach to improve its accuracy. From our statistical analysis of changes in urban land cover from 1987 to 2007, we conclude that built-up land areas have obviously increased, while farmland has seen in a continuous loss due to urban growth and human activities. A NDVI difference approach was used to extract information on changes in vegetation. A false change information elimination approach was developed based on prior knowledge and statistical analysis. The areas of vegetation cover have been in continuous decline over the past 20 years, although some measures have been adopted to protect and maintain urban vegetation. Given the stability of underground coal exploitation since 1990s, urban growth has become the major driving force in vegetation loss, which is different from the vegetation change driven by coal exploitation mainly before 1990.展开更多

We establish the "Urban Land Information System based on GIS" in order to inspect urban land structure and utilize a model automatically. A series of codes abstracted from urban land sustainable utilization significance are used as measures in land inspection. GIS tools combined with "Urban Land Information System" make visible codes calculations and statistical results possible. Useful mathematic methods are cited to analyze the degree urban land sustainable and optimize land structure. By scientific system analysis, relationships among modules and system structure are illustrated clearly. As a result this study has drawn out the "Urban Land lnibrmation System" model.展开更多
