The results show that the process of urban residents improving their living standards is also a driving factor in the increase of their carbon footprints; at the same time, the progress in technology has a positive impact on reducing the carbon footprints of urban residence. This article suggests that some measures, such as promoting energy-saving buildings and central heating supply, and establishing the convenient and comfortable public transport system, should be taken to reduce the carbon footprints of residence and travel in Shijiazhuang city.展开更多

The research results were as follows. First, spatial features of 14 cities' tourism eco-environment are displayed with five levels of vulnerability respectively. The vulnerability in Gansu becomes worse from Gannan City, located in southern Gansu to Hexi Corridor which lies in northwestern Gansu. Second, the areas of above the middle vulnerability level make up 75% of the total areas of Gansu Province. Third, more than 70% of high-level human and natural tourism resources are in the areas with high vulnerability eco-environment. Fourth, it is crucial to develop comprehensive tourism industry in order to improve the harmonious development between tourism industry and eco-environment in Gansu Province.展开更多

These instruments are commonly used in cities like Recife, which consists of several islands. However, it is common in this city to observe the fast deterioration of these structures that have been built for decades and are subjected to structural recoveries only when they present a possible imminent collapse. The maintenance of these constructions, often used as tourist spots, is essential because of the economic importance, while these structures are responsible for transporting people and cargo, and also play a key role in the city's roads. This paper aims to present and assess the conservation status of these bridges through the study of possible pathologies found at Princesa Isabel Bridge, Government Agamenon Bridge, Ponte Giratória Bridge and Paulo Guerra Bridge. The methodology for its inspection will be prescribed by ABNT NBR-9452/86, which provides for "Surveys of Concrete Bridges/Viaducts". After analysis, it was found that most bridges problems were caused by the presence of moisture that accumulates in bridges due to the absence or malfunction of drainage systems.展开更多
